Chapter 838: Drank this bowl of poisonous chicken soup called love Chapter 838: Drank this bowl of poisonous chicken soup called love Amelia Wilson and Kuro returned to their residence.

Seeing Amelia still unable to control her emotions, Kuro also looked no better; in all his years, he had never seen a woman cry so heartbrokenly.

“Second Miss, you tell me, who the hell has bullied you? I’ll help you beat him to death, so you stop crying, okay?” Other than thinking about solving the problem with violence, Kuro really couldn’t think of a better way.

He had repeated this line at least eight times on the way.

When Amelia heard it for the ninth time, she could no longer cry; instead, she laughed.

Kuro was stunned; what was going on with Miss Garcia? Why had she suddenly started laughing while crying just a moment ago? He scratched his head, unable to figure out the reason.

Amelia couldn’t be bothered to explain to such a blockheaded man; she simply took out the keys and opened the door, only to find, to her surprise, Victoria Garcia sitting in the room.

“Madam Johnson!” Kuro called out respectfully.

Amelia also walked over and asked, “Sis, why are you here? Didn’t I say that I was fine?”

Victoria noticed Amelia’s eyes, red and swollen from crying, and asked with concern, “What happened to you?”

Then she turned to Kuro and said, “You can go back first; I’ll call you if I need anything.”

“Yes, Madam Johnson!” Kuro promptly left the room.

“Tell me, why are you crying like this?” Victoria took Amelia’s hand and sat her down on the sofa, telling her to stay put while she stood up and walked to the fridge to get a bag of cold milk.

“Put this on your eyes; they look terrible.” Victoria handed the cold milk to Amelia.

Amelia accepted the cold milk without a word, not even making an argument like “no matter how swollen my eyes are, they’re still prettier than yours.”

It was evident.

Amelia was genuinely heartbroken to her core.

After a while, Victoria finally said, “Did you run into Henry Campbell at the company today?”

Amelia’s hand stiffened as she lightly nodded.

It seemed the hurt Amelia felt was even deeper than she had imagined.

Victoria embraced her sister, patting her shoulder and saying, “This will hurt for a while, but you need to get through this time, and then everything will be alright.”

“It just feels so unbearable; it hurts so much I can’t breathe. I never knew pain like this existed before,” Amelia said, her voice still choked with sobs, clearly indicating how hard she had cried before.

This love must have been Amelia’s true experience of heartbreak in every sense of the word.

But wait, she and Henry had never even been in love, so where did this heartbreak come from?

Wasn’t that even more hurtful?

“I always thought that he and I were nothing more than agent and artist, when I fell for him I have no idea, I only know that when I saw him holding another woman, I really wanted to tear them apart; whenever I couldn’t contact her, I felt completely lost and distracted, and when I found out he had announced his marriage, I felt like I wanted to die.”

Amelia’s tears started flowing uncontrollably again, as if her heart was breaking.

“Sis, what should I do? How can I stop feeling this miserable?” Amelia cried, not knowing what to do.

Victoria hugged her once more, patting her shoulder, trying to stabilize her emotions.

But who would have thought that Amelia’s emotions would not calm down but instead exploded even more…
