Chapter 816: Chloe Johnson, the murderer has been found 2. Chapter 816: Chloe Johnson, the murderer has been found 2. “I’m not hot or thirsty; you go ahead and drink yours,” Arnold Johnson said before finding a chair to sit down.
Seeing the expression on Arnold’s face, Chloe Johnson had a bad feeling.
Nonetheless, she still smiled and said, “If that’s the case, sit for a while, Arnold. I’ll chat with you after I finish eating.”
“Sure!” Arnold was not anxious at all.
Chloe nibbled at the little bit of green bean ice sand left in her bowl, her eyes occasionally flicking to Arnold as she wondered about his purpose for visiting her today.
After thinking for a while, Chloe couldn’t figure it out, but she felt more settled in her heart.
No matter what, she had a unique place in Arnold’s heart, and that was one reason he always indulged her.
“Arnold, I’ve finished eating. What did you come to see me for? Can you tell me now?” Chloe said with a smile, sitting on the chair next to him.
Arnold looked up, his eyes bright, nose straight, and lips thin. No matter how you looked at it, Chloe was a great beauty.
It was just that she wasn’t the one he liked.
“Chloe, the night I called you to say I found your sister’s killer, Victoria experienced another assassination attempt in the villa. You should know about this, right?” Arnold’s voice was not loud, cool and clear.
Chloe almost gave herself away upon hearing Arnold’s opening statement, but luckily, she was well-prepared. Her expression shifted slightly before regaining calmness. She smiled and said, “Arnold, if you hadn’t brought it up today, I really wouldn’t have known about these things.”
“Don’t tell me you came to see me because you think I’m the one behind it?” Chloe said with innocent eyes wide open.
Seeing her evasive look, Arnold felt somewhat disappointed.
“I’ve found out that the mastermind behind it all is you,” Arnold stated confidently, his eyes filled with a chill.
Such a cold gaze was seldom directed at Chloe.
At that moment, Chloe felt danger.
“I never gave such an order. Are you going to force me to confess?” Chloe said with a hint of sadness: “Because I love you, do you think I have to kill the woman you’re going to marry to have you? Is that why you suspect me?”
“You know I didn’t come to you out of suspicion but because I have evidence,” Arnold stated undoubtedly.
Chloe laughed, “Then tell me, what evidence do you have?”
Alexander had told her long ago that he had destroyed all the evidence.
But then, a thought struck her, and she could no longer restrain her emotions, wondering if there really had been some new development?
“The assassin who wanted to kill Victoria was named Owen Kent, an orphan with no records or acquaintances found prior to this. He was a strange existence, but I believe that in today’s society, there must be someone who knew him. Even if he had no relatives, there should be some acquaintances, right?”
Arnold continued, looking into Chloe’s eyes: “So, I had the Police Station publish a notice to identify the deceased. Days passed, and no one came forward to claim him, indicating Owen Kent really didn’t have any friends. I had almost lost hope.”
