Overflowing Hidden Feelings: This CEO Is Hard to Please!
Chapter 811 - 811 She seems to be lying

Chapter 811: She seems to be lying. Chapter 811: She seems to be lying. The weekend flew by in the blink of an eye.

Evelyn Garcia and Hannah Garcia both returned to school, and Victoria Garcia went back to Arnold Johnson’s villa, leaving only Amelia Wilson in the room.

When her sisters were around, Amelia felt like life was good.

But as soon as they left, she felt empty inside, as though both the room and her heart had become void.

Fortunately, Victoria had provided her with plenty of books to pass the time, minimizing the chances for her to wallow in random thoughts.

Of course, Amelia understood the intention behind her sister’s actions and tried to accept them. Although she felt somewhat hollow inside, there wasn’t much time left for her mind to wander.

So, all things considered, she was doing okay.

But just as Amelia was about to go to bed, she received a call from Robert Taylor.

Not wanting to arouse his suspicion, Amelia answered the phone. On the other line, Robert was as insistent as ever, “Ava, what have you been doing these past days? I’m coming over to see you now, is that alright?”

“What do you want to see me for? To sleep with me?” Amelia teased.

Hearing this, Robert laughed, “Wait for me, I’ll be right up to sleep with you!”

Shameless man.

Amelia criticized in her mind.

Yet her voice sounded somewhat feeble as she said, “All you care about is sleeping with me. Can’t you tell I’m not feeling well?”

“Did you catch a cold?” Robert immediately asked with concern, “Wait for me, I’ll be right there to see you, and I’ve brought your favorite dessert with me.”

“You’re downstairs at my apartment?” Amelia asked.

Robert replied, “We really are on the same wavelength, you guessed right.”

“I’m not feeling well, so I didn’t stay at the apartment. My sister took me to her house to take care of me.” Amelia told the truth, but she did not inform Robert that she was the only one in the house at the moment.

This was something that could easily be misunderstood.

Amelia thought that even if Robert had the guts, he would consider her sister and her brother-in-law. He wouldn’t dare come over and hop into bed with her.

Sure enough, Robert’s voice was filled with a million cries of despair, “Ava, I really miss you, you’ve promised to be with me, but why does it seem like we have fewer opportunities to meet now? Now that you’re staying at your sister’s, it’s not even appropriate for me to come and see you this late.”

“It’s the thought that counts,” Amelia reassured him with a smile.

Undeterred, Robert said, “Give me the address, I’ll come see you tomorrow during the day.”

Thinking he could roll in the sheets with her during the day when no one was around? No way!

“I’ve got a cold, even if I wanted to roll with you, I couldn’t. It’s better to wait until I’m better, then I’ll come see you,” Amelia decided to string him along.

Robert earnestly said, “I wish you would infect me. That way, it would prove my status in your heart isn’t just about rolling in the sheets, you know?”

Disgusting!

Amelia silently condemned.

“Would you die if you don’t spout cheesy lines?” she replied, half-serious, half-joking.

Robert responded with equal parts humor and seriousness, “I would die if I couldn’t roll in the sheets with you. Since meeting you, I haven’t touched another woman. You don’t know how anxious I am.”

Hearing his words, Amelia flatly said, “In that case, just keep holding on.”

You’d better drop dead from it tomorrow! Save me the nausea!

Amelia viciously added in her thoughts.
