Overflowing Hidden Feelings: This CEO Is Hard to Please!
Chapter 808 - 808 Youre hiding something

Chapter 808: You’re hiding something. Chapter 808: You’re hiding something. As the two discussed these matters here, they never once considered whether it was necessary to take into account Amelia Wilson’s feelings. Was it fair to her?

Robert Taylor and Richard Robinson were only thinking of what was most beneficial, most convenient, and most selfish for themselves…

After a good night’s sleep, Amelia Wilson’s cold had almost cleared up.

Upon waking, Victoria Garcia went to check on Amelia in her room, extending a hand to feel her forehead before saying, “Mmm, your fever has almost subsided.”

“Elder Sister, I’m feeling pretty good. The fever came on quickly, but it’s leaving just as fast,” Amelia Wilson replied with a smile, her tone noticeably lighter.

Victoria Garcia knew that Amelia wasn’t telling the whole truth about some things, so she wanted to get to the bottom of it.

“Ava, about what you said last night concerning Robert Taylor, what exactly is going on?” Victoria Garcia wasn’t being nosy; she wanted to know if Robert Taylor’s actions could harm her sister.

So, after thinking it over all night, she felt she had to get it straight; otherwise, she couldn’t rest easy.

“You’re furrowing your brow so much, you look like someone who can’t help but worry!” Amelia teased her with a laugh.

Could she not worry? Once their mother passed away, she became like a mother in her role as the elder sister, right!

“Since you know I’m worried, then tell me everything,” Victoria insisted, looking at her seriously.

Seeing that Victoria was so concerned, Amelia decided not to keep hiding the truth. After all, she refrained from discussing many issues with her younger sisters because they didn’t know the full situation and she didn’t want them to fret needlessly.

It was different with Victoria; as the elder sister, Amelia didn’t want her to worry either, but she could tell Victoria wouldn’t be easily deceived.

“Robert Taylor has cancer and has at most two months to live,” Amelia Wilson shared the news she had received yesterday with Victoria Garcia.

Unsurprisingly, Victoria Garcia was just as shocked as Amelia had been when she first heard the news.

Quickly.

Victoria then calmly asked, “Did he know about his cancer from the beginning, or was it a sudden discovery?”

This point was critical.

Typical of Victoria Garcia, she immediately zeroed in on the crucial issue.

“Judging from what the doctor said, he must have known early on. It’s just that it has deteriorated so fast recently that he doesn’t have much time left,” Amelia replied truthfully.

Victoria continued, “Ava, did Robert ever tell you about this?”

It was just to confirm, so Victoria wasn’t holding out much hope.

As expected, Amelia shook her head, “If I hadn’t accidentally found out this information, there’s no way I would have known he has cancer.”

“Thinking about this just infuriates me. Can you believe that knowing he didn’t have long to live, he still pursued me so relentlessly? Isn’t that harming me?”

Amelia couldn’t make sense of it, her frustration growing as she continued, “Before he started pursuing me, I really didn’t know him at all, I hadn’t even seen him before. Yet, he chased after me saying he wanted to marry me, even mentioning he wanted to have a child with me as an heir, just because I am beautiful!”

“I admit I am beautiful, but surely there are others in the world more beautiful than me. I made it abundantly clear that I rejected him, yet he persisted in his intentions to marry me—what could he possibly be after? Does it really just boil down to having beautiful children because of my looks?”

As she was talking, Amelia suddenly recalled something and quickly added, “Oh, right. When Robert and I were playing ‘Truth or Dare’ once, he claimed he wanted to marry me to get back at Harry Collins because apparently, I was once Harry’s woman. Do you think that’s true?”
