Chapter 802: The favored Amelia Wilson 2 Chapter 802: The favored Amelia Wilson 2 Falling ill and still not taking care of herself, I don’t even know how she manages to be an older sister, Hannah Garcia muttered to herself, even feeling that she was truly the epitome of a good sister.
By the time Hannah turned and headed to the kitchen, Amelia Wilson gently opened her eyes, watching her younger sister’s retreating figure, so slender and tall, along with her gentle tone, the young girl had grown up.
Feeling cherished by her younger sister was indeed a blissful sensation.
Amelia felt her mood lighten considerably all of a sudden, with her eyes closed, listening to the sounds coming from the kitchen, her heart instead settled into calmness.
Before long, she drifted off into a drowsy slumber.
She didn’t know how long she had slept, but her sleep was deep—so much so that she didn’t dream at all. When she woke up, it was the aroma of food that roused her.
Then, she heard the voices of her sisters and younger sister, as well as Younger Sister’s. Their speech was soft and delicate, occasionally interrupted by laughter.
So tranquil, so wonderful.
Days like these made her feel incredibly warm, filled with a sense of security.
“All three of you, confess what nasty things you’ve been saying about me behind my back!” Amelia suddenly appeared before them.
“Ancestor number one finally woke up huh? We were just about to wake you if you hadn’t,” Victoria Garcia’s voice spoke.
“Second Miss, you’ve woken up just in time. We’ve just finished cooking,” Hannah said.
Younger Sister, Evelyn Garcia, joined in the teasing, “Four out of the six dishes we prepared today are your favourites; you must feel very fortunate, huh?”
“Seeing how hard you’ve worked, I’ll let it slide that you talked behind my back while I was asleep. Now, hurry up and bring me the porridge; I’m going to eat my fill,” Amelia declared with glee, taking her place at the dining table with her voice.
Today she was sick, and all her sisters were pampering and accommodating her; the feeling was unbelievably exhilarating.
Shrimp and peas, garlic amaranth greens, steamed asparagus, stir-fried yellow croaker, pork rib and yam soup, and a small dish of stir-fried green beans—mostly vegetarian home-style dishes, of course, she knew they were all prepared with her stomach in mind.
As she ate, Amelia said, “Next life, let’s still be sisters. This time I’ll be the eldest, and none of you are to fight me for it; I’ll take care of you all.”
“Second Miss, you already have two sisters to take care of this lifetime. No need to wait for the next one,” Hannah said as she added some asparagus to Amelia’s bowl.
Amelia immediately retorted with a smile, “This lifetime I might be the second eldest, but I’m the youngest at heart, right?”
“Shameless! Stealing my spot. I’m the little sister!” Hannah posed cutely.
Amelia countered childishly, “I don’t care, I don’t care; I’m the patient right now, so whatever I say goes.”
“You don’t say!” Victoria disdainfully remarked, “To think you’re the Second Miss, yet so immature.”
Even as she said this, Victoria still put a slice of pork rib into Amelia’s bowl, “Though you can’t eat too oily when you’re sick, this rib was stewed clear. Have a piece of meat to satiate your craving.”
“Thanks, sis!” Amelia returned sweetly.
Evelyn didn’t forget to add some greens to Amelia’s bowl either, “Little Sis, eat your food nicely; I’m your older sister today, okay?”
“Thanks…” But she couldn’t quite bring herself to say ‘sister.’ Alright, she just wanted to relish the treatment of being the pampered younger sister but didn’t really feel like calling anyone ‘sister.’
You don’t say!
Who in the family of sisters doesn’t know.
