Victoria laughed and said, “I understand, your concern is indeed good and thoughtful. However, there have been some problems with the company recently, and I’m sure you know a bit about it, so I really can’t spare much time.”

Arnold echoed, “Mom, Victoria and I have already gotten our certificate, and considering the current situation with Victoria’s company, we’ll be able to take a day off to take wedding photos, and another day for the wedding itself. Everything else we can simplify, right?”

“You’ve gotten your certificate already? When did this happen?” Grand Lady Johnson seemed surprised.

“Some time ago, we had some free time so we got the certificate,” Arnold nonchalantly stated, as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

“Ah… You young people…” unexpectedly sighed Grand Lady Johnson, but then, she quickly laughed again, “Anyway, you are to be married. Whether you get the certificate earlier or later doesn’t really matter. However, the wedding – you can’t just let it slide so easily.”

“Mom, I understand that you take this matter very seriously, but Victoria and I also don’t want you to exert yourself too much. We prefer to keep things as simple as possible,” Arnold explained. He didn’t really want Grand Lady Johnson meddling in their wedding arrangements.
