Chapter 764 - 764 Garcia Victoria Devotes Herself to the Beauty
Chapter 764: Garcia Victoria Devotes Herself to the Beauty Scheme 2 Chapter 764: Garcia Victoria Devotes Herself to the Beauty Scheme 2 Victoria Garcia felt certain of impending death, yet she didn’t close her eyes. Instead, she stared unblinkingly at the man confronting her, and through him, she saw the shadow of another.
Whose gun was quicker than this man’s.
The shooting was silent because of the silencer.
Victoria didn’t fall; it was the man who’d pointed his gun at her who fell instead.
In that moment, Victoria was truly scared.
She had just survived a brush with death once again.
Just a one-second difference. One second, and she really would have gone to the underworld, to meet the king of Hell. To say she wasn’t scared would be utterly ridiculous.
Seeing the man who appeared before her, Victoria was stupefied.
“Mr. Hernandez, you… how did you end up here?” Victoria simply had trouble believing that the one who saved her was Edward Hernandez.
Where was Arnold Johnson though? Where did he go?
Edward Hernandez, smiling, said, “Would you believe me if I said it was a coincidence?”
Seeing the stunned look in her eyes, he continued, “Honestly, I wouldn’t believe it either, but it really was a coincidence.”
“…”
Edward Hernandez looked at Victoria from head to toe. “That fool really has no taste. He didn’t fall for a beauty like you. If it were me, however, I definitely would be hooked.”
Only then did Victoria realize that she was half-naked.
Without thinking any further, she turned around and went into her room to find a piece of clothing. After she had quickly dressed, she returned to Edward Hernandez.
“Don’t worry, with a body as good as yours, I won’t blabber. Trust me,” Edward Hernandez said jokingly.
Victoria felt that what he said couldn’t possibly be true.
She coughed lightly and asked again, “Mr. Hernandez, why are you here?”
“Is this how you treat your saviour?” Edward Hernandez, looking into her eyes, asked.
Victoria puckered her lips, took a deep breath, and said, “Thank you very much for saving my life just now. Without you, I wouldn’t have had a chance to live.”
“Grateful for the life-saving grace, pledging the body in marriage, I wouldn’t refuse,” Edward Hernandez said, his attractive eyes never leaving Victoria.
Victoria merely gave a faint smile and said, “I’m sorry, Mr. Hernandez. I am a married woman, so I can’t offer my body in compensation. Can we think of something else?”
“You’re married?” Edward Hernandez exclaimed in surprise.
Victoria, laughing, answered, “Yes, I am legally married to Arnold Johnson.”
Please! Keep it low key, will you?
“Since Arnold Johnson can’t protect you well, just divorce him and come to me. I promise nothing messy will happen around you, and at the very least, you’ll be safe,” Edward Hernandez shamelessly offered.
Persistent in advocating for divorce rather than reconciliation.
“Mr. Hernandez…” Victoria said, anger flashing across her face.
Seeing he had said enough, Edward Hernandez spoke, “If I’d known you were married, I wouldn’t have saved you. Saving you only ended up benefiting Arnold Johnson. Sometimes, when I look at Johnson’s perennial icy face, I just feel irritated.”
Having said that, Edward Hernandez, a little disappointed, sat down in the sofa chair.
Victoria thought Edward Hernandez was truly a strange man.
Also, her gut told her that Edward Hernandez was not as simple as he seemed. In the Metropolis, he had a weapon which was illegal.
But, he did save her life twice. That was real.
And she truly owes him for that.
