Victoria noticed this, as did Arnold Johnson.

Arnold felt happy about Chloe’s change and therefore showed more warmth towards Kevin.

“Chloe is like my younger sister, a wonderful girl.” Arnold said, chuckling.

Kevin laughed heartily and said to Arnold, “I think Chloe is a nice girl too, so, Mr. Johnson, you have to help me out here, how can I win her over?”

Victoria glanced at Kevin, then at Chloe. One was gregarious, the other quiet and ellegant; one handsome and gentlemanly, the other beautiful and poised…

They seem quite well-matched when you put them together like this.

“Chasing a girl is a matter of patience, take your time, she will be yours if it’s meant to be.” Arnold advised politely.

Arnold laughed heartily, ruffling her hair, before turning his attention back to the road.

They didn’t discuss Chloe’s change any further.

Arnold shifted the topic, “Madam Johnson, do you know what day it is today?”

“What day?” Victoria’s mind raced, there didn’t seem to be any special occasion.

Not Arnold’s birthday, not her birthday, not their anniversary…what else could it be?

Victoria really couldn’t remember.

Arnold reminded her, “It’s the third-to-last day before our three months.”

“How could you forget such an important day,” Arnold burst into blooms of joy at the thought.

Seeing his radiant expression, Victoria felt both amused and guilty.
