Chapter 609: Missed 4 Chapter 609: Missed 4 Upon seeing Victoria Garcia, Arnold Johnson immediately hit the brakes.

Without waiting for Arnold to get out of the car, Victoria opened the door herself and sat directly in the passenger seat. In her hand, she held something, but Arnold couldn’t tell what it was.

“Where did you go?” Arnold asked right away.

Victoria looked at him, clearly in better spirits.

“I was just nearby buying something. Try it and see if it tastes good,” Victoria said, offering the mystery item to Arnold.

Arnold looked at her nonchalant expression, knowing she had no idea how worried he had been just moments ago. When he thought about what kind of danger she might have encountered, he couldn’t help but hate himself.

“Emery told me you came down two hours ago,” Arnold wanted to know where she had been for those two hours and what had happened.

Seeing his demeanor, Victoria spoke gently, “Yes, after the meeting, I saw your car downstairs and came down immediately. When I arrived, I saw you sleeping inside the car. I figured you must not have slept well last night, so I didn’t want to disturb you.”

“I just wandered around nearby, thinking of finding something delicious for you. Who would’ve thought that while walking, I would slip and fall.”

“Where did you fall? Does it hurt?” Arnold asked with concern.

Victoria felt embarrassed to admit it, but given Arnold’s attitude, if she didn’t give him the full story, he would probably glare at her for a long time.

“The snow stopped, but there was ice on some parts of the road. I didn’t notice and slipped on it. In the end, I even made two passers-by fall too. I was fine, but one girl got the worst of it, as I landed on top of her. Feeling guilty, I offered to compensate her, but she said it was an accident and didn’t need any money. I thought she was so kind, so I offered to buy her a new outfit instead.”

“There was a shopping mall not too far away, so I went there and picked out an outfit for her. She was also very picky and didn’t want anything expensive, choosing something similar in price to her current ensemble. Her clothes had gotten soaked in several spots.”

“So, the time drags on, and I ended up spending over an hour. My own shoes got damaged, so I also replaced them with a new pair.” With that, Victoria stretched out her foot, showing off her new shoes to Arnold.

It was truly an unexpected incident.

“Does your foot still hurt?” Arnold asked, looking at her feet.

Victoria shook her head, saying, “It doesn’t hurt. I’m really fine, you don’t have to worry so much. It’s not like a bad guy is just going to run into me and kidnap me when I’m alone.”

Sometimes, Arnold was incredibly worried. Ever since he had told her not to be alone, she had never been by herself.

“I just fear the what-ifs, Victoria,” Arnold said with a serious expression.

Of course, Victoria understood his heartfelt concern.

She leaned in and gave Arnold a tight hug, “I understand, I’ll listen to you.”

After a while, Arnold asked, “What delicious thing did you get for me?”

Victoria smiled, “I don’t know if you’ll like it, but when I was at the mall, I smelled something delicious and sweet, both crispy and cold. I thought it was quite tasty.”

Arnold opened the package to reveal six small and cute cream puffs. Although he didn’t know how they would taste, he was already delighted that Victoria had bought them just for him.
