Overflowing Hidden Feelings: This CEO Is Hard to Please! -
Chapter 607 - 607 Missed 2
Chapter 607: Missed 2 Chapter 607: Missed 2 When Arnold Johnson asked, Aunt Taylor immediately said: “Miss Garcia woke up relatively early today, so she left early too. Uncle Allen drove her to the office.”
As she spoke, she went into the room and quickly took out some clothes.
As she handed the clothes to Arnold, Aunt Taylor continued: “Miss Garcia didn’t eat much this morning and left. When I suggested her to eat, she said she had no appetite.”
“Hmm, did she sleep well last night?” Arnold asked.
From the moment he entered the door, everything he asked was related to Victoria.
“I think she didn’t sleep well, as Miss Garcia had dark circles under her eyes.” Aunt Taylor speculated, “Miss Garcia put on makeup today, so the dark circles were covered up and not noticeable.”
Aunt Taylor couldn’t help but exclaim how amazing makeup skills are nowadays; just by covering up those dark circles, they disappeared.
Arnold knew that Victoria must have been feeling bad last night.
“Young Master, you better hurry up and take a shower and change your clothes. You look terrifying.” Aunt Taylor urged.
Arnold took the clothes and went into the bathroom.
After taking a shower, he felt much more awake.
Seeing the steaming hot breakfast on the table, Aunt Taylor served him a bowl of porridge, “You must have stayed up all night, have some light porridge to clear your stomach.”
There were also three small dishes on the side, some small buns and homemade specialty pancakes.
Having hardly eaten anything yesterday and staying up all night, Arnold felt a little uncomfortable after taking a shower.
Despite this, he still methodically ate all the food one by one.
“Aunt Taylor, if I don’t call you tonight, don’t come over.” Arnold stood up after eating.
“Second Young Master, are you going out again?” Aunt Taylor asked in return.
Arnold only responded with a “hmm”.
Aunt Taylor advised from the side: “Second Young Master, why don’t you take a rest first? Your health matters most, you can take care of everything else after you’ve recovered.”
“I know my own body.” Arnold took his coat and left again.
A strong thought was supporting him. He wanted to see Victoria.
Appearing in front of her would be the best explanation for her.
When Arnold arrived at the office building where Victoria was, he called her, but no one answered.
So, he called Candy Foster: “Is Victoria at the company?”
“Yes, she just went into a meeting.” Candy replied.
Arnold asked again, “Did she not bring her phone with her?”
Candy stood up and walked over to Victoria’s desk. Indeed, her phone was on the table.
“Yes, it’s on the desk. Director Johnson, do you want me to take the phone to General Garcia?” Candy respectfully asked.
Arnold directly replied: “No need. Just let me know when she’s back.”
“Alright, understood.”
Candy originally wanted to ask if there was anything else, but Arnold hung up the phone directly.
After hanging up, Arnold parked the car in a temporary parking spot under Victoria’s office building, closed his eyes, and waited for Victoria’s meeting to be over so he could go up to find her.
Who knew that he would fall asleep so soundly? By the time he opened his eyes, three hours had already passed.
He picked up his phone and saw that there was no call from Victoria. What was going on?
Did Candy forget to tell Victoria, or did Victoria simply not want to call him back after hearing it?
