Chapter 90: Chapter 75 Borrowing a Knife to Kill Someone

Under pressure from the two knights, the inquisitive mind in hiding quickly retreated.

Wayne, to cover his teacher’s retreat, remained in place without moving an inch, pretending to be more interested in the Dark Knight and defiantly confronted him.

After a while, once he was sure his teacher was safe, he slowly began to speak:

"Leave it to me."

"Leave it to me."

How could you deal with it!

Wayne, scornful in his heart, shook the reins and leaped into the teleportation passage, "I’m very interested in the Naturalism Church High Priest’s head; if you want it... it’s a contest of skill."

The Dark Knight, without a word, waited for the portal to disappear before his figure faded into the darkness and reappeared just in front of the Undead Warhorse.

Wayne was secretly surprised. Although Yuliya’s teleportation portals couldn’t traverse long distances, they already involved powerful space magic. He never expected the Dark Knight’s teleportation magic to have a similar marvel.

With such capability, he would need only a few teleports to catch up to Hefei.

Teacher, you’d better run fast and never look back.

"Hehehe, interesting."

Wayne’s skeletal head grinned and laughed, attempting to attract the Dark Knight’s attention once more.

What’s so great about a tall glamor lady? A real man should like bones. The night is in full swing. How about we have a contest to see who can win tonight’s best look award?

The effect was mediocre; the Dark Knight paid no heed, stepped into the shadows, and roamed freely beyond the physical space, leaving Wayne far behind after a few swift moves.

What a nuisance!

Wayne pursued on horseback. He was unsure of Hefei’s power ceiling and who was stronger compared to the Dark Knight, but his Supernatural Sensing warned that the Dark Knight was undoubtedly more dangerous.

Perhaps the Dark Knight’s arrival with an intense hostility triggered the Supernatural Sensing, but regardless, Hefei had been generous to him, his most respected mentor, a notch above the Butler Philark in status, and he couldn’t just let it be.

Step back ten thousand steps, in the middle of the night, a man in black following a long-legged beauty—the righteous Death Knight must intervene.

Two minutes later, just as the Dark Knight was about to reach the source of the thoughts first, he stopped suddenly, slowly turned, and looked at the Death Knight approaching on horseback.

"Since you’re intent on taking the Naturalism Church High Priest’s head, I’ll let you have her, but remember, Lundan is my territory. Without my permission, no one can act recklessly here," the Dark Knight stated coldly, took a step outside, and completely vanished into the darkness.

The prey is right before your eyes, and suddenly you’re not chasing? What does that mean?

Wayne didn’t quite understand, suspecting his acting was limited, and the opponent had noticed something off. After a brief 0.01-second hesitation, he shook the reins and continued towards his teacher’s direction.

At this point, he had to act notwithstanding; otherwise, if he dared not, the Dark Knight would dare to spread rumors everywhere, claiming the Naturalism Church High Priest and the Death Knight had an affair.

Wayne didn’t care; he could take off his vest and let others be. But not the teacher. Wild rumors flying all over would definitely affect her career, and he was counting on her to climb the ranks, to one day become the female Pope and support him, her student, to enjoy the comforts of hometown favor and sleep with the Holy Maiden candidates!

The Undead Warhorse leaped out of the teleportation passage, its hooves landed, trampling on glowing white specks.

The white light spread out, like a stone breaking a calm water surface, faint ripples emanating in all directions.

The scenery in front of Wayne utterly changed; the fog-covered path was scattered by the ripples, and the moon-draped broad street unfolded swiftly in front and back.

The street was about thirty meters wide, with buildings on both sides displaying clear Gothic style, including a huge bell tower and an imposing cathedral with a tall spire piercing the clouds, and the black spire tops were sharp like swords thrusting upward.

The exterior walls of the buildings were covered with complicated patterned semi-transparent glass, and through the windows, one could see flickering candlelight in the darkness, and faintly hear the melodic hymns of a choir.

The opulent group of buildings under the moonlight appeared mysterious and solemn, and the sudden bell chime added a layer of historical depth to the street.

An enchantment barrier?

Wayne stared at the endless street ahead and behind him, his vision unable to reach beyond the horizon, and to his surprise, he saw a figure mounted on the Undead Warhorse.

His own figure from behind!

"Not bad, but not much..."

Wayne spoke deeply, perhaps the Naturalism Church knew the Death Knight very well, had rich combat experience, and knew a hundred and eight tricks to trap a Death Knight.

Pity for the empiricists, they courted their own ruin by mistaking their target; he was not a Death Knight.

In terms of strength, Wayne knew he was not as powerful as a Death Knight, but in skills, he had more methods to deal with situations than the Death Knight with a single attribute.

Super Vision!

Magic Power surged up; the black smoke billowed like black flames burning fiercely, Wayne’s skeletal head emitted two beams of white light, sweeping across the whole area like a sword, and found the seam on the long street.

Two Gothic buildings, one tall and one short, had flaws on their joining seam.

It was like AI software that couldn’t draw fingers properly—seemingly perfect at a glance but, upon closer inspection, shockingly flawed.

Wayne drew out Shadowmare, its blade reflecting the cold white moonlight, casting on the knight’s bone skull. He spurred his horse into a sprint and vehemently slashed at the seam.

A thunderous boom followed.

The scene in front of him shattered like a mirror, and a profound space passage appeared before him.

Wayne, without hesitation, rode the Undead Warhorse to perform a space teleport, and before the passage could close, he leaped out of the barrier.

This time, the sight that greeted Wayne was a lush green forest.
