Thought to be a person, Ye Wenzheng immediately explained, "Ye Bai is the pet that the young miss has raised, a male eagle."

At this point, Prince Jing finally understood that the girl he saw riding the eagle was indeed Ye Jiu.

However, Ye Wenzheng said Ye Jiu didn’t bring Sikong Mo back with her, which Prince Jing found hard to believe.

Yet, there was still no movement within the room, which clearly did not suggest the presence of a person.

Prince Jing became more cautious and stepped into the room.

He searched the bed, behind the door, inside the cabinet, and even under the bed but found no trace of anyone.

Turning his head, Prince Jing asked Ye Wenzheng, "Are you certain she returned? Or is it possible she left again without you noticing?"

"Impossible, after the young miss entered the room, I have been in the courtyard all along. If she had left, I could not possibly have missed seeing her," Ye Wenzheng grew equally anxious, "Moreover, we all live in the same courtyard, and the young miss usually mentions when she goes out."
