Chapter 566: The outcome of having a little horse pull a big cart is just like this_2

Named "Stinky Gem" by Murphy, the Little Scorpion Lion grows astonishingly fast in this materially abundant world. He’s just one-step shy of reaching maturity, currently dangling the pitiful carcass of a Wolf People scout in his mouth for "lunch".

Such a ferocious beast might be intimidating to others, but not to Little Brother Fu; after all, he raised it himself.

Regrettably, the once clingy Little Stinky Gem is not quite as attached to him as before.

Brother Fu even noticed the beast sometimes gazing at him thoughtfully. He realized that what Sir Morphy and Mother Mary Ann described as the "moment of leaving the nest" was fast approaching.

The primal instincts of the Scorpion Lion, a giant creature, were awakening, its fondness for him fading.

To it, he was now more of "an acquaintance" than a "protector". If Brother Fu didn’t complete the spiritual energy marking contract with it before its wild instincts fully arose, the beast would unhesitatingly leave him behind to return to the Star Realm.

This was something Brother Fu couldn’t accept.

This Scorpion Lion was the most fierce creature he had ever raised, and he didn’t want to let go that easily; he had to give it a shot!

Thus, Brother Fu summoned up his courage, ready for his personal Black Iron Trial.

"Stinky Gem, cover me," he said.

Brother Fu pulled out several scrolls, tearing them open to add BUFFs to himself while also drawing out several pricey Alchemy Enhancement potions to chug down, only stopping when he couldn’t take any more pressure.

He belched and turned to the Scorpion Lion, who was savoring every bit of the Wolf People’s heart, and said,

"In a moment, I’m going to single-handedly confront the elite leader of the Wolf People, Wolf Barbarian. You’re going to keep his minions at bay. If you understand, nod your head."

The Scorpion Lion, while feasting, gave Murphy an impatient glance, causing Brother Fu to feel shortchanged.

Just a few days ago, the "Little Brat" was a good boy, and now he was acting like this!

It was like when a son grows up and starts giving his once-admired father the cold shoulder.

So tragic!

"Roar."

However, to Brother Fu’s comfort, the Scorpion Lion nodded after considering the request for a few seconds. It then swallowed the Wolf People’s heart, licked its lips, got up, and spread its giant black wings, taking a short run before leaping into the sky.

Having the Scorpion Lion on standby gave Brother Fu peace of mind. He took out a telescope to observe the den of the Wolf People bandits in the valley below.

This was a site that he had carefully chosen over the last few days.

The Wolf People bandits’ numbers were small, and many had fled from the Scorpion Lion’s ongoing harassment. The once imposing den now merely housed a few members.

Most importantly, among them was an old handicapped Wolf Barbarian leader, a Black Iron elite!

Having already reconnoitered, Brother Fu decided that he would be his target.

"Phew, let’s get started!"

Brother Fu grabbed his summoner’s staff and ran towards the den. As soon as he was within range, he took out his notebook, reviewed his battle plan, and initiated the summoning spell.

As the starlight twinkled, a Star Realm rat was summoned.

It was big, similar to a squirrel. After appearing, it raised its front paws as though chattering at Murphy, then, after receiving delicious jerky from the summoner, it began hopping around in excitement.

Brother Fu grinned, attached an Alchemy Bomb to the Star Realm rat’s back, and pointed towards the Wolf People’s den.

But that was not all.

He then summoned a sneaky Star Realm monkey, gave it a few bananas, and then gestured to ensure it understood his orders.

Finally, Brother Fu summoned a vibrantly colored Star Realm snake. He fed it a fish, then made another set of gestures for it to understand.

Star Realm creatures cannot truly die in the material world, a fact that allows summoners specializing in Star Realm creatures to utilize a wealth of tactics. With Brother Fu’s command, the Monkey thief was the first to enter the optical camouflage, stealthily sneaking into the den.

Seconds later, with the angry roar of the Wolf People leader, the chattering Monkey thief emerged from the den, dragging the leader’s bloodied flail behind it. The bomb-carrying Star Realm rat followed closely behind with a suicide explosion.

A violent explosion resounded throughout the den, causing the Wolf People leader to howl in panic. Amid the chaos, the Star Realm snake bit him hard on the ankle.

Minor Star Realm creatures are not capable of direct combat.

But under the guidance of a skilled summoner, their functionality can be as potent as the majestic Scorpion Lion beside Brother Fu.

The Wolf People leader, now poisoned, weaponless, and bloody, realized the danger and let out a sharp, hyena-like shrill, signaling for the nearby patrolling barbarians to come rescue him.

However, the prepared Scorpion Lion, Stinky Gem, swooped down with a roar, kicking up a cloud of dust as it killed a barbarian with its tail. Its instinctual aura as a giant creature scared off the other barbarians, who didn’t dare approach. The Wolf People aren’t particularly unified, and tend to be bullies as long as their cubs aren’t threatened.

At this point, Brother Fu had leisurely summoned three death crows to peck at the Wolf People leader. However, his time of leisure was now up. As an apprentice summoner, his spiritual energy was just enough to summon these minor creatures.
