Chapter 565: The outcome of having a little horse pull a big cart is just like this_1

"What did you say?"

In the game group under the forum, Stick Brother typed in astonishment:

"@Chosen Ashman, what do you mean there’s an underground cavity in the outer city area too? Dude, don’t use such professional terms, just put it simply."

Chosen Ashman: [Well, you know I got an original blueprint of Cardman City from Sir Morphy previously, right? Today my tutor came by for a visit and I showed him the blueprint. He immediately spotted something wrong with it.

He said there’s a cavity under the outer city’s sewer system that wasn’t marked on the blueprint. It’s kind of like an underground cave, smaller than the Blood Eagle Corridor beneath the inner city, but there should definitely be a natural water source flowing through it.

You guys have been wandering around the sewers for so long, haven’t you found that hidden underground cavity yet?]

Meow King: [You kid! Most people hide from their teachers when playing games, but you? Sharing game experiences with your tutor? However, I can’t blame Stick Brother for missing the possible underground chamber.

We already know of the two levels in the sewer, and we’ve only just started exploring the ’ancient area’ on the second level. There are even more ghouls and resentful spirits there.

Hey, Dust Prince, could you mark out where your tutor found that underground cavity? We’ll have a careful search.]

Chosen Ashman: [It’s roughly here! I marked it with a red pen. The vertical drop from the surface is almost 50 meters! Be careful when you go down there. My tutor said that these types of caves formed by sewer water erosion usually branch out like honeycombs, so if there are ghouls there too, it will definitely be very dangerous.

Stick Brother: [Cheers, mate, we’ll assemble a team to go check it out in the next few days. If we find anything good, we’ll give you a 10% cut!]

Brother Fu: [What now? Are we going on a treasure hunt again? Stick Brother, hurry up and get the contract signed before we start. I’m giving you money and you’re still putting it off?]

Stick Brother: [Don’t rush me. The brothers are already buying plane tickets, so it’ll take some time to gather up... Speaking of which, don’t you have a private jet or something, Brother Fu? Old Stick has never ridden on a private jet in his life.]

Brother Fu: [You really dare to dream! I do have a private jet, but it belongs to old Zhang, not me. My relationship with my dad is a bit awkward at the moment. Let’s talk about it in a few years. I can take you around the world.]

Woman Sword Saint of Reed Name: [What’s so great about a private jet? Such a small space, flying around in the sky like being stuck in a box, it’s absolutely annoying. I prefer it to be lively each time I go out.]

Ring Attack: [The rich little miss’s Versailles! I’ve learned so much from all of you in this forum, including knowledge that I’ll probably never use in my life.]

Woman Sword Saint of Reed Name: [Hehe, maybe next time I can invite a rich woman to join us. Private jets are nothing. Lady Shui’s family has a large yacht...]

Deadly Orchid: [Can’t you just remember to stick to game talk? Stop chatting and come prep, we’re about to go make trouble for the Wolf People.]

Woman Sword Saint of Reed Name: [Oh, I’m coming.]

Brother Fu: [Alas, I need to start the Black Iron Trial too. Annoying. Brothers, chat without me, I’ll be back after I send someone off.]

Everyone: [Wishing Brother and Sister Fu luck.]

Amid the laughter of the gaming companions, Brother Fu signed out of the in-game forum. He stretched his shoulders and glanced at his character interface.

Just managed to reach level 10.

He was only a day and a half away from the seven-day deadline that Sir Morphy gave him. It was fortunate that he went down the Summoner path, a subtype of Psychic, with summoned creatures taking the brunt of the fights and he only needed to throw Spiritual Energy strikes. Even so, Brother Fu had been grinding hard these past few days.

But he didn’t go to the sewer.

His treasured little Scorpion Lion, nicknamed "Stinky," didn’t like that spooky place, so Brother Fu’s grinding spot was in the wild. Right now, he was in a small ravine about 40 minutes away from Crimson Castle.

Brother Fu stood up, made sure everything was ready, and took out his Stellar Summoner’s staff.

This beautiful magic wand was custom-made for him by Lady Cui Si, and it even had his name engraved on it. His gear was not top-tier among currently active players, but it was standard issue for veterans, certainly not outdated.

Some of it was obtained through quests, and some was bought from Meow Brother’s small team.

Money warriors play the game in a certain way. They don’t mind spending money to have a certain level of gaming experience. However, Brother Fu’s current problem was that, in "Real Different World," even if he had money, he was finding it very difficult to spend it.

"Roar."

A low growl echoed from the hollow of the mountain next to Little Brother Fu, indicating that his little Scorpion Lion had returned from hunting.

A creature the size of a regular male lion walked over with a lazy yet robust gait. Its majestic face was adorned with a thick mane of fur around its neck, its once-soft wings now sturdy enough to fold up against its shimmering fur, like those of a bat.

Its tail, covered in black chitin scales like a scorpion, was raised high.

The hook at the end of its tail was glowing with a faint red. The metallic luster it reflected under the sunlight made it look incredibly menacing.
