Chapter 457: 158 Lady Cui Si’s Another World People Observation Diary·First Issue_3

Murphy gestured with his hands, leaning on his classic office desk, looking at Cui Si and waiting for her answer.

Cui Si organized her words, then began speaking:

"Your warriors...

Those lovely, naive, and outspoken players of yours seem to believe that we ’otherworlders’ are all controlled by a mysterious force called the ’Development Group’. They stubbornly perceive us and even our entire world as an illusion, a projection on some bizarre system.

All of this being the creation of the special force known as the ’Development Group’.

This sounds much like the concept of the ’Creator God’ preached in traditional myths, but with differences, least of all the players’ disrespect towards the ’Development Group’ as their creator god.

I have heard them curse at some ’Dog Planner’ in the ’Development Group’ several times in private, accusing him of misconduct. I presume that in their understanding, he is one of the divine spirits responsible for bestowing luck and establishing world rules.

Secondly, the players are very intelligent.

Their mental capacity is much more active than most of the common people in this land and even in this entire world.

They must have undergone large-scale, systematic high-level education, and the scariest part is that every one of them has done so, which proves that their civilization has developed to a very high level, so high that I can’t even imagine what it looks like.

However, despite their intelligence, they have a rather peculiar ’thinking error’.

They seem to think that all their strange behaviors will be ignored by otherworlders, so they never conceal their true thoughts in front of us, making them seem extraordinarily candid.

Even excessively so...

At this point, Cui Si displayed a peculiar smile and said to Murphy:

"Your warriors would even comment on Adel’s figure in front of her. Thanks goodness Adel does not understand, otherwise, she would no doubt be very upset about it. Of course, they would do the same to me.

But I won’t indulge them.

If they dared to make any inappropriate remarks, I’d hit them with the Silence Skill straight away. They learned their lessons after a few tries."

"They always act like this."

Murphy shrugged noncommittally and said:

"Every time they praise my appearance, it makes me feel rather awkward, but I know it’s a genuine compliment from their heart, so I accept their praise happily. Anything more to add? From your ’Observation Log of Otherworlders’."

"Yes!"

Cui Si toyed with her wine glass as she said:

"As I just said, they definitely come from a very ancient civilization!

When learning their language, the more profound my studies became, the more I realized their everyday phrases contain simple yet practical wisdom. I have a feeling that our current stage of civilization can find a similar reference in their world history!

They refer to it as the ’Middle Ages’.

Indeed, while their world does not contain the huge influence of Spiritual Energy that ours does, the progress of their civilization far surpasses ours.

This makes me increasingly curious about their world...

Murphy, you were the first ’local’ to make contact with them, aren’t you at least a little curious about all this?"

"Of course, I have some inquiries."

Murphy lowered his head to pick up his own glass to conceal his changing expression. Taking a sip of the wine, he looked back up at Cui Si and said:

"But I don’t want to disrupt their current perceptions of our world, Cui Si. So I request you to maintain this privately-noted observation for now and not engage in cross-world civilization conversations with them."

"Why?"

Cui Si raised an eyebrow and asked:

"If they knew all this was real, I believe the courageous warriors among them with a true adventurous spirit would get even more excited..."

"As you said, their civilization is thousands of years ahead of our world. This means that the control my warriors are subjected to in their world is beyond our imagination, Cui Si. Traveling remote realms for games in a spiritual sense and actual ’Contact with Different World’ are considered two separate concepts to the higher-ups.

This remains the same in any world.

And I don’t want my adorable little players to face unnecessary dangers in their world because of my intervention.

That’s my bottom line!"

Murphy interrupted Cui Si’s question, persuading her:

"Besides, I think you’re underestimating the significance of what this represents, by which I mean that we’re confronting a godless different world whose strength is godlike in comparison to ours! I believe that we, as ’pioneers of the different world’, should be more cautious about any contact with the other side, don’t you agree?."

I heard when my little players were joking around without any restraints, they mentioned a weapon of theirs...

They say that single weapon is capable of instantly annihilating a country the size of Transylvania, effortlessly wiping out millions of people, and turning this vast land barren for hundreds of years.

Isn’t that more threatening than the so-called Divine Arts?"

Murphy put on a serious look, trying to frighten Cui Si, saying:

"According to what my players have said, weapons of that kind amount to thousands in their world. Moreover, if needed, their national machinery can quickly produce even more devastating weapons.

Even their conventional power is something we cannot contest!

Can you imagine letting tens of thousands of tons of steel soar across the sky without harnessing Spiritual Energy? Can you let man-made things fly out of the world, explore the stars and observe them up close?

They can produce temperatures reaching up to tens of thousands of degrees, yet also create a true absolute zero!

What’s more, I heard their cutting-edge technology has managed to master the mystery of creating a sun from nothing, even if only for a dozen seconds...

The scariest part is, their world has nearly ten billion people and can sustain this massive populace as numerous as grains of sand in the sea of stars! In our world, even counting in the New Continent and sea inhabitants would amount to less than a tenth of this number.

Cui Si!

You think you know, but you have absolutely no understanding of the power you’re dealing with!

The force that exists behind my little players clearly holds power on par with divine spirits and is capable of restructuring the world, I have no doubt that my warriors wouldn’t joke about such matters.

Even if only a third of what they say is true, it means that we, in front of them, are absolutely powerless.

Therefore, Cui Si, we must be careful."

He stepped forward, placing his hand on Cui Si’s shoulder, staring into her enchanting eyes, saying:

"We already have enough trouble as it is. Please don’t add to our difficulties, will you? I’m begging you."
