Chapter 282: 100. Conversations between men should be so candid! 【40/60】_1

(Adding more for our brother ’Brazen Summer’[5/5])

"Even if you flood the forums with posts, I can’t extend the game time! I’ve told you, I’m not the bloody Creator God, how can I just change this real world according to what you want?

You adorable little players are cute and all, but could you please stop acting so outrageously?"

Murphy held the Core Bead in the dark river secret passageway of the Blood Hawk corridor, listening to the wailing complaints coming from the players inside.

He himself also sighed.

If possible, he would rather these adorable and useful little players were online 24 hours a day, not only could he always have good helpers, but the labor shortage could also be solved.

He might even not feel the loneliness of being alone in this other world.

However, he is now just an ordinary test administrator, the game time and the unexploded functions of the helmet won’t be unlocked just because he says so.

This all depends on the "game progress", so in the end, the little players would be better off complaining here and working harder for the Vampire!

"What are you doing over there? Are you planning to give me a mime performance all by yourself? Your expression just now was like you just met a debt collecting ghost."

The discontented voice of the old Knight Finoc rose from the front.

This Gold Stage White Knight was standing in the rubble of a camp of resentful spirits that had just been burned by the blue purification fire.

While the little players were challenging the second boss, Civilian Protection Officer, Kudell, Murphy and the old knight had also cleared out this ghost camp, which had existed for at least 300 years.

The specifics of the clearing process were the old knight wildly killing a bunch of elite resentful spirits in the front while Murphy cackled in the back.

It’s not that he was deliberately slacking off.

Mainly, as a Black Iron Rank rookie, facing these Black Iron Rank resentful spirits that number over 50 and are notoriously difficult, well, he admittedly does have a disadvantage when it comes to combat power.

But Murphy did join the fight.

When a group of spirits rushed in he single-handedly killed three of them, making the experience bar of his Graveyard Sword Guard Swordsmanship crawl up a bit. If it weren’t for the old knight using a large range advanced AOE natural psychic power skills, Murphy might not have dared to get too close to the battlefield for fear of being "injured by friendly fire", and his swordsmanship might have improved even more.

It’s really difficult to improve advanced swordsmanship, nothing like the smooth learning curve of Blood Hawk Swordsmanship which went from beginner to master in half a month.

"Why are there so many elite spirits here? They’re in the secret passage of your Blood Hawk sacred ground! Are you vampires always this casual about your nests?"

The old knight walks through the cold ashes on the ground, which are the souls left by the spirits after purification, but also the casting tools of some dark psychic spells.

So right now Murphy is using a psychic bag to collect these ashes and walked around this dark ruin, but aside from a bag of ancient gold coins, there is nothing else.

Confronted with Finoc’s question, Murphy rolls his eyes and says:

"Who am I supposed to ask then? This is my first time entering the Blood Hawk corridor too, I don’t know any more than you do. But if you insist on asking a reason, I guess these are the pioneers from before Cardman City was established 400 years ago.

Cui Si mentioned to me once when she was drunk that she was involved in the design and construction of Cardman City, and she mentioned that there were some ancient ruins from previous eras here with strange powers throughout the area.

Initially Salockdale wanted to flatten those ruins, but due to the manpower shortage because of the Black Disaster, they decided to just build Cardman City on top of the ruins."

Murphy crossed this desolate ruin and explained to the old knight:

"Here is probably one those remaining traces from before civilization, the souls of these poor fellows from hundreds of years ago were obviously trapped here."

"Hmm, it makes sense,"

the old knight nodded,

"The conditions to form resentful spirits are not particularly difficult, but it’s a different concept when a large gathering of spirits happens, and Transylvania is indeed not a place where death psychic power accumulates. I can feel the change in psychic energy, the exit should be just ahead.

This passage is indeed long, no wonder the vampires have left it be.

Just this group of spirits blocking the way is enough to stop any unprepared invader."

"Yeah, who could have imagined that a Gold-stage expert would actually resort to crawling through sewers for a surprise attack?"

Murphy said teasingly,

"Are all the other Gold-stage experts on the continent as easygoing as you, Lord Finoc?"

"You could go and ask them yourself. I imagine they’d be willing to patiently answer the strange questions of an adorable little vampire like you, before they use various methods to try and kill you."

The old knight responded casually.

At this moment, the two of them didn’t feel like a hunter and their prey, but more like adventurous strangers who have gradually come to know each other through sarcasm.

They continued their trudge through the darkness, after crossing a vertical dark river waterfall at 90 degrees, they came across the massive walls of the Blood Hawk corridor again.

This meant their trip through the secret passage was coming to an end.

"We should rest for a while,"

Murphy suggested,

"My Warriors need to rest, and your Witch Hunters have been fighting for most of the day, we should not act rashly before they break through the middle section of the corridor and enter the hall.

I believe in your combat power.

But I also believe that Salockdale won’t politely be waiting alone in the depths of the hall for you to behead him."
