Chapter 256: 91. Lumina’s Requiem [31/60]_2

Four ladies are protecting Spellcasters Meow Brother in the middle, giving him a strong sense of safety being "protected" by them.

’Choosing to be a healer was indeed the right choice’, he thought.

They cautiously approached the graveyard and entered the ruins. Beyond the corroded fragmented metal fence, they saw a group of skeletons limbless wandering aimlessly on the desolate land.

Some were still draped in their burial clothes, others seemed to have been buried not long ago, but their flesh was also completely corroded by Star Realm Energy.

"Lady Cui Si said that the Star Realm Energy is not attribute-specific and could disrupt the Death Psychic Power balance in certain areas, making the Dead revive, just like we’re witnessing," Lumina whispered. She proceeded to throw out a range surveillance spell.

The feedback information popped up in the player interface:

Name: Restless Ghost.

Status: Decaying · Restless · Fragile Body · Vulnerable to Positive Energy.

Rating: Similar strength · Hostile.

"We can take them!"

She decided.

The next moment, Little Wei Ming, laughing, raised her double guns just like a lucky charm and fired quickly, smashing the skulls of four skeletons with six shots at the nearly maximum range of her revolver.

An average of one and a half shots per skeleton, and all moving targets. And the most impressive of all, her bullets always hit the skulls, such a tiny target.

The accuracy of her gunsa made Meow Brother gasp in admiration, as he threw out his vines to wrap and bind the skeletons sprinting towards them on the ground, and said to Little Wei Ming:

"Your shooting accuracy is on point, did you train for it?"

"I started playing with guns when I was five," she snorted.

"I started when my grandparents took me to play. My grandpa was famous for his quick shooting where they lived. I can even ride a horse, do you know what’s the hallmark of a cowboy family? Although my doctor does not allow me to ride now..."

"Ahem! Don’t bring up real-world stuff"

Orchid reminded Little Wei Ming to shut up. Then she took a deep breath, lifted her tower shield, blocking those clawing skeletons.

Lumina’s accurate shooting and Sister Pomegranate’s close combat gradually advanced the team.

Meow Brother wanted to show off his healing spell, the Spring Revival, but the ladies were working very well together, and he was just not needed, so he stayed back and kept casting Natural Wrath like a despicable spellcaster to level up his skill.

Of course, every flamboyant healer has a wild heart that belongs to Damage Per Second (DPS)!

Each casting of the green light ball did not have the power of direct bullets but had the advantage of a severe poisoning effect, which was useless for the undead skeletons.

"There’s a weird guy over there! Lumina, look! She’s holding a saxophone! Maybe it’s the old lady you were looking for!"

Sister Pomegranate made full use of her height. While Orchid was continually thwarting the skeleton’s attacks, she climbed onto the nearby fallen tombstone and quickly discovered that a strange skeleton was active in the depths of the graveyard.

Lumina was thrilled, and the team immediately shifted direction.

There were quite a few skeletons in this grave, but they were slow and fragile. Meow Brother used the shock wave of the Spiritual Energy to slow them down, allowing the team to reach their destination without danger after breaking through the restless ghost’s blockade a few minutes later.

"Wait! Don’t shoot, she’s not going to attack us."

Lumina stopped Little Wei Ming, who wanted to execute it, and looked at the skinny skeleton in front of her holding a golden saxophone-like instrument with its pale hand bones.

It didn’t seem to notice the living beings nearby.

It didn’t attack them; it just put the mouthpiece of the instrument into its jawbone as if it was playing some weird form of performance art.

"She wants to play the instrument, but she can’t," Orchid whispered.

Then, nudging Lumina to the side, she said,

"Go! It’s supposed to be the quest trigger. Help her fulfill her last wish."

"But... But I only took a little music class when I was young because my parents forced me into it. I might not be able to play well."

Lumina hesitated and lacked confidence, but Sister Pomegranate slapped her on the buttock hard, saying:

"I can play, but whose class change is it right now, yours or mine? Hurry up and stop dawdling."

"Oh."

Lumina was forced to move forward.

She was a bit nervous, gesturing to the skeleton to give her the instrument in its hand.

The skinny skeleton seemed to understand what Lumina wanted and tenderly touched the instrument in its hand as if it was reluctant to part with it. In the end, it handed it over to Lumina and then quietly stood still. Those dark eye sockets stared at Lumina.

It seemed to be waiting for something.

The strange purple light spots in the eyes sometimes enlarged and sometimes shrank, as if there were residual emotions left in the skeleton.

Lumina adjusted her breathing, inspecting the delicate golden sax up and down. She noticed that it only looked like a sax but was structurally different. Luckily, the principles of wind instruments are generally the same.

Under Sister Pomegranate’s guidance, Lumina spent some time familiarising herself with it, and then blew it under the "scrutiny" of the thin skeleton in front of her.

These were just the most basic notes she learned in the cram school when she was young, but the tune was sounding plausible.
