Chapter 204: 73. A very Waagh player initiated a Waaaaaaagh!【13/60】_3
Insanely fierce as the players were, rushing in like reckless madmen with complete disregard for their own safety, they managed to confine one third of the vampires inside the house. Nevertheless, the remaining vampires managed to flee using their nimble maneuvers.
They had been sabotaged in a far from optimal state, weakened further by inadvertently ingesting the Daylight Potion, and startlingly intimated by the ferocious spirit of the ’Murphy’s Warriors’.
They had absolutely no intention of continuing the fight at this point.
Seeing that their leader, Jed, was being restrained by the young lady, these crafty folks did not need to communicate verbally and each fled in different directions with their own servants.
Daybreak was imminent!
These bastard blood servants had chosen the perfect time to ambush them!
They had to find shelter before the malicious sun arose. Come next nightfall, they would rule the playing field again.
However, just as they were breaking free from the encirclement, gunfire blasted from all directions, shattering the tranquility of this desolate place. Musket-bearing guards posted at various points fired their bullets haphazardly, taking down several unfortunate fellows from the sky.
Lumina, perched on a high point outside the house of darkness, spits out the grass root from her mouth. Setting up the automatic Hunting Crossbow in front of her, she took aim at the vampires stunned by the gunfire.
This was not the old device they had lost back in the Smugglers’ Forest. This was an upgraded battle model courteously provided by Natalie’s witch-hunters.
With the hot steam gushing from the combustion tube and amidst the clash of levers and gears, Lumina aimed at her target through the circular scope. Then, licking her lips, she placed her finger on the trigger.
After taking a deep breath, she pressed down hard on the trigger!
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"
The sharp Crossbow Arrows became lethal feathered darts in the next moment, chasing and striking the vampires under her expert control. In just over ten seconds, three of them were shot down, crashing onto the ground and becoming prey to the small players and Cardman’s self-rescue militia.
Amidst the ashes, alchemical torches flared!
The brave and superstitious mountain goats have been given a target by their cunning and ruthless shepherd. In the land of Transylvania, loyalty and centuries-old grudges empower them to fear nothing and eagerly anticipate striking at something with their knives...
Even if that something was a vampire, they wouldn’t care.
"Take out that firepower! We cannot retreat if that thing is still up!"
The vampires, besieged by bullets and hunting crossbows, quickly caught on to the situation. Immediately, three of them flew towards Lumina. Unruffled, the lady turned around the mouth of the crossbow and quickly shot down another slow-to-dodge guy.
Kill count +1.
She was undoubtedly the ’Crash King’ in this fierce battle.
She could see the blood gushing out of the ugly vampires when they were shot, see their embarrassing decline after their wings broke, and hear their miserable cries of pain.
All of these elicited a surge of adrenaline in Lumina, hastening her reaction speed and accelerating her heartbeat.
She was beginning to enjoy this feeling...
No!
She was falling in love with this feeling.
The bloody and death-ridden land before her eyes thrilled her.
Is this what it feels like to fall in love?
Two vampires break through the layers of bullets and charge at her. It’s now too late to use the heavy hunting crossbow. Lumina steps back, flinging her hair, and quickly picks up the loaded shotgun by her side. She turns around and, in the blink of an eye, fires accurately from the waist.
"Bang!"
The vampire ahead of her, with its claw extended, lifts its head, blood splattering all around. It cries out and falls off from its high position.
However, the last one has already landed before her. Lumina throws away her still-smoking shotgun. Reaching backward, she draws the Swift Sword from her waist and adopts the starting style of Dark Elf secret swordsmanship.
She knows she is no match for the dangerous black iron monster right in front of her.
But having shot down five vampires in a row, she had gained more than enough credit. Before assuming the role of a shooter, Stick Brother had warned her of the danger.
But she simply didn’t care.
It’s just a game after all.
Overthinking it might just kill the fun... We’re all living life for the first time, no need to hide or hoard, just do what feels great!
