Chapter 201: 72. Murder!【12/60】_3
The Invincible Tyrannosaurus Truck nearby chimed in with contempt:
"Why else would we claim our Sir Morphy as glorious and upright? As a vampire, he never indulges in bloodlust, and even if he really can’t help it, he only drinks the hot blood of his enemies.
Lady Cui Si is even better, despite being so irresistible and beautiful, she only drinks wine, not blood. Compared to them, these old and ugly wretched vampires really belong in hell."
"Don’t worry, we, the just ones, are about to send them to hell ourselves, heh heh."
Wumeioge, with a scheming grin, uncorks a few bottles of fine wine, pouring them into a large cup, and from Lumina, takes Daylight Potion Maxim had given her, uncapping it and evenly pouring the potion into the wine, shaking to mix it well.
The job of creating this concoction had been passed on to Dog Paddle in the North of the Forest, who moonlighted as a bartender in a local pub.
This lanky Minnan man came forward, rolling up his sleeves. Expertly pouring the wine into the blood, he shook it meticulously with a unique technique and decorated it with several fresh raspberries and lemon slices.
"Done! Blood Cocktail!"
Dog Paddle placed the finished blood cocktail in a basin of crushed ice, then watched as the flasks of blood cocktail were loaded into a carriage headed for Cardman City at high speed.
The other junior gamers were all ready and waiting outside the tents. On the tables before them were the exquisite weapons and armor that Lumina had just wheeled in.
These were fine, novice weapons that Maxim and Murphy had scrounged in the city over the past few days.
They are all subtly enchanted, much better than the standard beginner weapons that the junior gamers are currently equipped with. Essentially, this was like strengthening the gamers before the battle. But it was clear from Maxim that these weapons and armors are only on loan, and can only remain in their hands after they win the group war.
In other words, these weapons are like the trial versions of great items.
"Listen, I’m saying this again."
With only 30 minutes left in the game, Sister Pomegranate stood in front of the junior gamers with her hands on her hips, shouting:
"The witch hunters have scattered outside the city. Our mission is to drive Jed and his cronies out of the city. Kill if you can, but don’t force it if you can’t."
"Most importantly, don’t scatter. Our strength is weak. If we get separated, we will be easily taken out by those guys."
The Happy Stick next to her took the role of the commander in chief without any hesitation. He even made a board for himself with the ’battlefield’ drawn by Dust Beater.
Stick Brother held a stick, pointing at the three positions on the battlefield map and said:
"The three directions will be commanded by myself, Wumeioge, and Good Dove. We’ll communicate with the Calculating Pearl. As soon as a signal is received, we’ll attack simultaneously. Our individual strengths are weak, and our only advantage is that we’re brave, determined, and can catch them off guard. So, there is no need for tactics. When the time comes, just storm in and start slashing!
The main point is to corner them inside buildings and prevent them from flying around and forcing some of them to disperse!
Shovel!
Are your camp guards ready?"
"30 Musketeers! No problem!"
The Shovel Man raised his hand and replied:
"I will lead them in sniping from the perimeter, and the Cardman’s Self-defense Army in the city have also received their orders. They are led by their respective leaders to find their own positions in the city.
We, the casual gamers, won’t be joining you in the rush.
We don’t have enough skills to participate in close combat, we can only provide fire support."
"Excellent!"
The Happy Stick nodded in satisfaction and said:
"Lumi, the archer, operates the advanced hunting crossbow provided by the witch hunters. Set it up at a high point. Wherever there are a lot of people, fire there! Drive those formidable silver vampires out of town and we’ll have won.
Are there any questions?"
"Me, me, me!"
Standing up, Khaki Tontita, dressed in veteran armor, leans on his flashy axe and holds up his Calculating Pearl as he yells out:
"I imported a ’Battle Music’ into my personal interface! Now all of you can fight with a BGM! It greatly enhances battle power!"
"Nonsense!"
The Happy Stick rebuked:
"All we need is a unified charge horn... Alright, let’s just do this, guys! Let’s kill those bloody vampires who dare to block our path today!
This territory we fought hard to get is ours! Anyone who dares to steal it will have his paw chopped off!
Now, follow my command!
Charge!"
"Ding!"
The familiar sound of a task updating resonated uniformly in the character interfaces of the junior gamers.
[Chapter: The Final Night of Cardman City
Task Four: Fangs in the Night
Explanation: Sir Morphy’s rule over Cardman City has been challenged by those ignorant, but perhaps this is also destined. No legend can cruise peacefully to its end, and a so-called warrior should stand proudly atop the mountain, facing the wild wind.
The storm has started, and facing it head-on, you have no other choice.
Either win!
Or die!
Warriors, declare to these foolish souls whose territory this is with your sharp blade! Morph into a pack of wolves, biting them, making them scream in pain for straying into your forest!
Objective: Attack and delay Jed’s gang until Morphy finishes executing the enemy’s boss.
Reward: Standard·Veteran’s armor[6/6], fine·Novice’s weapon[1/1], open next task.]
"For Sir Morphy and our grand plan! Charge, charge, charge!"
"Hey, hey, hey, kill them!"
