Chapter 175: 62. Wumeioge rode alone into the enemy camp, displaying the warrior’s spirit [2/60]_2
"Your companion wasn’t killed by us. He died from excessive blood loss. We considered him a warrior, so we specifically buried him alone in the village and set up a simple tombstone for him."
He said:
"After asking Milian, we burried his weapon with him according to your tradition..."
"I know."
Natalie said darkly:
"Otherwise, you wouldn’t have made it this far! But your stupidity in burying the bodies together nearly caused a catastrophe. Didn’t your vampire master tell you that you can’t just bury bodies in a war-torn land?"
"Huh?"
Meow Brother was perplexed by the reprimand from the neutral NPC in front of him, but as he entered the village, he quickly realized what had happened.
Although the ghoul nest in the village resulting from burying bodies had been bombed, the sight of the grotesque, decaying creatures with strange claws piled up immediately whitened Meow Brother’s face.
Mainly, it was the smell...bleah.
"Burial in a war-torn land triggers a temporary concentration of death psychic power. Burying bodies casually under such circumstances can create monsters like ghouls. This is new information!
Lets quickly record it and post it on the forum."
Turning his face away from the sight and recording the information in his mind, he saw Natalie open a door and motioned for him to "please" enter.
Meow Brother immediately realized that the hidden mission triggered by the Sacred Blade he had obtained from Natalie was probably to be completed with her.
He smirked and swaggered into the house.
Then he saw the three familiar faces in front of him, ready for action: Norman, Porter, and Ambo of Natalie’s squad were staring at Meow Brother with hostile looks in the room.
He realized something was wrong and tried to run. But the door behind him slammed shut.
Blocking the door with clenched fists, Natalie watched as all four neutral NPCs on the player interface simultaneously lit up their health bars.
Just like a standard and frustrating ghost story.
"Damn! You’re not being chivalrous!"
Meow Brother had just shouted when he was punched in the face.
He fell to the ground in a daze, and then Ambo leaped on him, punching him left and right.
Although the squad leader had ordered them not to hurt this vampire worshipper seeking answers, it didn’t mean the witch hunters couldn’t vent their anger in advance.
Only the four members of Natalie’s squad had survived due to Murphy. The fact that they didn’t stab Meow Brother as soon as they met indicated how obedient they were to orders.
However, Meow Brother was not unprepared.
This cunning social David had dialed his pain perception down to the minimum via the game helmet before entering the camp. Despite his screams, all it showed was Meow Brother’s superb acting skills.
After several minutes, Meow Brother, bruised and swollen, struggled to his feet. The four witch hunters also stopped, their precision in meting out punishment was quite exquisite, leaving Meow Brother at the brink of death.
"Damn, this plot progression...this damn game is getting too real in weird places."
He scolded heartily, then got up, sat in a chair and wiped the blood from his nostrils, not caring about anything else, he glared fiercely at the four people in front of him.
We’ve had our fight, and your anger is appeased. Can we move on to the main topic now?
*Snap*
The wrapped Avalon Sacred Blade replica was placed on the table, and Meow Brother asked through his broken mouth:
"Who can tell me what this thing represents to you? Has your god really blessed it? And, what must I do to use it?"
"You want to use our Sacred Blade?"
Scout Ambo smirked, the petite girl said:
"The Sacred Blade, handcrafted by the elders of our guild, is not a miraculous object, but it can only be wielded by recognized warriors. You are merely daydreaming."
"If you really want to use this Sacred Blade..."
Veteran Porter, who lost an arm in the last death match and injured his throat — thus yet to fully recover and barely able to speak, sounded like the friction between stones, sneered:
"Why not join the Old Faith first, but you may have to return to ten years ago."
"Ding"
Before Meow Brother could respond, a prompt popped up on the player interface:
[Important information collected, preconditions for using Avalon’s Blessing Blade clarified, please continue to explore.]
"Hey, there might be possibilities!"
He was delighted and asked:
"What are the requirements to join your group? Do I need to go through a special ceremony?"
"Huh?"
The veteran soldiers were taken aback by Meow Brother’s response.
They exchanged looks.
They wondered whether they had hit the vampire worshipper too hard and knocked him silly. How could he be interested in these pieces of information...was he really not afraid of being caught and punished by his vampire master?
"Speak up! I’m waiting to hear! Why have you all gone mute?"
Seeing that no one was speaking, Meow Brother immediately urged them.
"Yes, speak up. I’m waiting to hear it too."
Far away in Cardman City, holding the Core Bead and "shamelessly peeking" through the screen, Murphy also urged in his heart.
He didn’t care about the future career path of his little player.
Anyways, with the "disconnection" authority in his hands, if Meow Brother could really get the job system and transfer information of the Old Faith this time, Murphy would have to give him a big reward.
