My Mage System (BL)
Chapter 720 - 720: *What are you waiting for?*

Elias signaled to his men that he was going ahead, but Tarik then said to him, "At the bottom of these stairs, there is another device similar to this one; I will need to enter another code for the room where Johan is to open. But this room is filled with black particles, so we will need to be extra careful when opening it!"

Elias nodded and allowed him to move ahead. He then sent Lanis to find Atlas and Lena. They would need someone capable of handling these black particles without jeopardizing Johan's life, as his own method might not be the more secure one. Additionally, they would need Lena to ensure there were no bombs of black particles hidden inside Johan's body that could detonate at any moment.

Moreover, it was preferable for Ian and Liam to stay with the other Drakonits, as well as Caleb and Kelan, in case of a surprise attack.

With them and Roman's men, even if they were attacked, he was sure they would be able to fend off their enemies. But the likelihood of an attack now that Lilith had retrieved all her soldiers was low.

She left this hybrid behind because she could use him to gather information about what was happening in this world and keep an eye on the Drakonits. However, this hybrid must have been an important pawn for her; otherwise, he wouldn't possess a personal dimension—after all, only a god could create one. He suspected that this dimension served as a rescue plan to retrieve all the poor souls held captive here.

At the bottom of the stairs, there was just a circular room large enough to accommodate about ten people, with the stairs located in the center of this room.

Elias scanned the room with his powers, but once again, the black particles were too dense in these walls, and he couldn't detect anything at all—not even Johan's heartbeat.

It was very frustrating for him, but Tarik didn't waste any time and headed to the left before pressing a part of the wall that sank slightly. Suddenly, another section of the wall retracted, and a touch screen appeared two meters further to the right this time.

Tarik looked at Elias, but Elias signaled him to wait. It was too risky to open that door without Atlas present. He would likely have no choice but to use a large amount of divine energy to contain those black particles.

However, the golden particles within that divine energy wouldn't remain inactive and would likely begin to exterminate the black ones; he was certain of it, and Johan would then become a target for them.

Shortly after, Lanis teleported with Atlas and Lena near them, and Elias explained to them the situation. Atlas then summoned one of the crystals that could only be found in the red dungeons, which allowed storing the black particles.

Once everyone was ready, Tarik opened the door, and right before them, the wall disappeared, and Johan's screams filled the air, raising the hairs on their arms.

Johan was on his knees, held to the ground by chains made of corium, an ore they were all now very familiar with, as their enemy used it for everything and anything.

Johan still had his long blonde hair, which reached the middle of his back, and his sun-kissed skin, like all the Drakonits. His eyes were green, bloodshot—evidence that he could not use his Drakonit form because of the chains.

Black spots covered a good portion of his visible body, but sometimes they disappeared and were replaced by others just seconds later.

Atlas then said, "Although the corium prevents him from using his energy reserves and transforming into a Drakonit, since he has already evolved into a Divine creature, the black particles are naturally absorbed by his body."

Lena, who had covered her mouth with her hands at the terrifying sight of the man being consumed over and over by the black particles, then said to Atlas, who had created a force field to prevent the black particles from dispersing and attacking them, "My love, what are you waiting for? This man is suffering terribly; this is not the time to observe—we need to help him right now!"

Atlas cleared his throat, somewhat embarrassed, but he followed Lena's instructions. After tossing the crystal into the room and suspending it in the air at its center, he began to absorb the black particles from both the room and the walls.

Johan's cries of pain and distress gradually diminished in intensity, and after what felt like an eternity, he stopped screaming and collapsed to the ground, his body suddenly seized by convulsions.

Everyone swore—except for Lena, of course—and Elias then said to Atlas, "Open a passage for a few seconds; I need to give him a healing divine-grade potion; it can't wait any longer, or we will lose him!"

Atlas immediately complied and opened a passage just long enough for Elias to pass through. As for Lena, she used her light to purify the air of the few black particles that had slipped in from their side as Elias passed through.

At the same time, Tarik and Isaac exchanged a glance because both knew Johan well, and seeing him this way was truly unbearable. They then looked at Elias, who had to hold Johan down with force while he was still convulsing, and force him to drink this potion that should help stabilize his condition.

If Miguel had been there, they wouldn't all have been so tense, but they knew that Elias and Miguel couldn't always be present, and at that moment, Miguel was in a red dungeon training other Spirit Warriors, so he couldn't come even if they were calling him.

A golden portal suddenly appeared in the small room where they were, catching them all off guard, but immediately, Tarik, Isaac, and Lanis stood in front of Lena and Atlas to protect them, activating their stage 2 just in case.
