Xue Feifei picked up the phone to see that it was a call from a stranger, so she hung up directly.

After all, she is now a celebrity and can’t just answer random calls from unknown numbers. All work-related affairs are handled by her assistant and agent. Her personal number is only for people she has previously communicated with.

Sure enough, not long after she hung up, her assistant called her and mentioned a strange name: "Feifei, there was a call from a collaborator, a Mr. Wang from Hanhai Group. He asked you to answer the call later."

Xue Feifei knew of Qin Zhiyou, but not necessarily Mr. Wang, his secretary. Xue Feifei was also confused: "He just called me, I didn’t pick up, and then he contacted my assistant."

A familiar, low-pitched voice came through, "No, it’s Mr. Qin."

The caller was Qin Zhiyou, and Xue Feifei, holding the phone, looked at Lu Weixi, "Should I pass the phone to her?"

"No need, my call is for you."

What kind of response is that? Xue Feifei and Qin Zhiyou had rarely interacted before, and even when she was dating Yu Sixing, they barely spoke a few words to each other. Out of propriety, she wouldn’t have saved his number. Xue Feifei put the phone on speaker and placed it between them. Lu Weixi recognized Qin Zhiyou’s number displayed on the screen instantly.

"President Qin, is something the matter?"

"Nothing much, just wanted to ask if my wife is with you, where you guys are right now, and how much longer you plan to hang out."

Upon hearing Qin Zhiyou speak, both were dumbfounded. Was this just a check-in call?

But the question remained, Lu Weixi had her own phone—if he wanted to check in, why not contact Lu Weixi directly? And why, after Xue Feifei hung up on him, did he get Secretary Wang to call her assistant? Was he out of his mind?

That was what Xue Feifei was thinking and what she asked: "Please, your wife has a phone, just call her."

Qin Zhiyou answered confidently from the other end, "If I call her, she might not agree to come back with me. But if I call you, and you then tell her, she will definitely leave."

Xue Feifei was amused and purposely said, "Forget about it tonight, Xixi and I are planning to pull an all-nighter outside. After we finish drinking, I’ll have her stay at my place."

Qin Zhiyou remained calm, "She could agree, but the child in her belly won’t. You can continue to have fun for a while, but definitely, no alcohol. I’ll come pick you guys up at eleven o’clock."

Xue Feifei was shocked to the point of nearly dropping her phone: "You have a child?"

Perhaps her voice was too loud and attracted the attention of people nearby, Lu Weixi made a shushing gesture, "It’s only been a few months."

"But don’t you still have to study?"

"I won’t neglect my work and studying is something for after September; by then, the child will already be born."
