Although Mother Lu still had her doubts, Lu Weixi looked so sincere that her mother didn’t pry further, only saying, “You must take good care of yourself.”

“Mom, don’t worry, I won’t let myself collapse. Qin Zhiyou and I are over, and I won’t dwell on the past. Though I might have developed some feelings for him at the end, my feelings for him were clearly not as deep as they were for Qin Zhigu at the beginning. They didn’t know about her divorce from Qin Zhiyou, but they did know about Qin Zhiyou and Fang Rushuang visiting the gynecologist, which meant she, the official wife, had lost to an outsider, and that shortly after reconciling, Qin Zhiyou forgot her pain and quickly kicked her to the curb.

Furthermore, unlike previously, Qin Zhiyou didn’t outright deny it this time. It was a hot search for a few hours before being taken down, but Qin Zhiyou’s side didn’t comment at all.

Clearly, he was tacitly acknowledging this incident.

Everyone guessed that she, Mrs. Qin, might be stepping down to make room for someone else but was struggling to voice it due to concerns about face-saving. They all hemmed and hawed.
