So she decided to turn off the lights first and crawled back to her spot. She covered herself with the blanket, wrapping her head and leaving only her eyes exposed.

Qin Zhiyou came out soon after, noticing that the lights were off but showing no reaction. He dried his hair, changed into his pajamas, pulled back his blanket, and went to sleep in silence.

It was just like every other time they had a cold war: no talking, no communication, treating each other as if they were air, a complete and utter cold war.

One would have thought that after signing a divorce agreement there would at least be some dramatic reaction, but at that moment, they were like roommates living in the same room, the ultimate familiar strangers.

The next morning, the two silently packed their things without speaking to each other. Although they went downstairs together, perhaps because they had gotten up too early, there was no one else having breakfast with them, sparing them the need to pretend to be affectionate.

Lu Weixi, who had stayed at home for several days, finally had time to go to the museum to work on the design. As soon as she arrived, although no one dared say anything, they all looked at her as if they had something on their minds. This included Xiaochen and Xiaoqian, who actually had many questions but were too scared to ask.

It was only Paul who, with a serious face, immediately began to discuss the design matters with Lu Weixi. Thanks to him being there, the whole project team was energized, leaving no time to think of gossip.

Lu Weixi had been working at home these past few days, but after all, it was not as detailed as on-site discussions; she was completely exhausted after several meetings in one day.

As work was about to finish, Paul was still not satisfied, and a disagreement arose between them, making Lu Weixi so angry she almost wanted to roll up her sleeves and fight someone.

It wasn’t until 8 o’clock in the evening that a day’s worth of work was finally completed. As she was getting ready to leave, Paul nodded, “That’s right, work your hardest, nothing else is as important as improving yourself.”

Lu Weixi was taken aback and then nodded, “Thank you.”

Just as she was about to go downstairs, Xiaochen suddenly gestured to her, “Manager Lu, Manager Lu, come here for a moment.”

Lu Weixi nodded and walked over, and as soon as she did, Xiaochen closed the door with a ‘bang’, “Manager Lu, Secretary Wang asked me to pass on Mr. Qin’s instructions. He wants you to pack up your things and move back to the West Mountain villa.”

Lu Weixi was utterly confused, what did this mean? Had Qin Zhiyou called her and she missed it, or had Secretary Wang sent her a message she hadn’t seen? She picked up her cellphone; it was completely blank, nothing at all.

Without thinking, Lu Weixi immediately replied, “Tell him to convey to Qin Zhiyou that I still have things at the old house. It doesn’t matter whether he goes back or not, I need to go there.”

Xiaochen acknowledged with an ‘oh’ and sent off the voice message. Lu Weixi hadn’t even left when a message arrived from the other side.
