“!!!” Lu Weixi was stunned; all the back and forth would take a whole year. She couldn’t even fathom what her situation might be like after a year.

However, rushing through the process would require going to the civil affairs bureau, which Qin Zhiyou was reluctant to do.

“Can’t it be accelerated?”

“Court sessions generally take several months to schedule, but you can start by living separately,” the lawyer said diligently. “If you’re determined to divorce, no one can stop you. All I can do is file as soon as possible and then wait for the hearing.”

“You’re welcome.” The lawyer packed up the documents and left quickly.

In the room, she was left alone.

The room was empty, and so was she.

She had got what she earnestly sought, and from Qin Zhiyou’s impatient tone the last time they spoke, he probably wanted to leave her soon as well. There hadn’t been much love to begin with, just a temporary solution.
