What would she do if she were seen here? She thought about rushing back but realized her legs had gone numb. Running back with a limp would make an even greater commotion. Just as she didn’t know what to do, Lu Weixi had already come upstairs.

Upon arriving, she saw Qin Zhiyou walking towards her. She didn’t overthink it, given that Qin Zhiyou’s expression was as unpleasant as always. She went straight back to her room, followed by him. Besides, she and Qin Zhiyou had just started to fall in love.

At first, Qin Zhiyou indeed felt disappointed. In her life, he had only carved out a very small place for himself, one that he had fought hard for over many years.
