Yu Sixing earnestly examined her wounds then pulled her to sit on the sofa, turned to get some ice for her to apply to her face, “It was like this last time too, your face swelled up for quite a while before it went down.”

Although the ice was cold, she didn’t feel it was too cold; instead, the sensation of the towel-wrapped ice rubbing against her cheek was strangely tactile.

The two of them tacitly avoided discussing the recent visit from his mother. He was applying ice to her face, and she was staring ahead, lost in thought.

She had been pretty harsh just now, hadn’t she? Although she hadn’t cursed out loud, every word and sentence was cutting deep. It was not his secretary or someone from the talent agency that had leaked it, but the legal consultant they had used for a contract. This consultant was with the Yu Corporation. Yu Sixing hadn’t anticipated that his family affairs would escalate to this point and had used the consultant out of convenience. Little did he know that as soon as his mother asked, the person gave her the phone number right away.
