Chapter 235 Climbing the Scales of Humanity
Chapter 235: Chapter 235 Climbing the Scales of Humanity
Han Fei found the perfect moment; as he rushed toward the deepest room of the Meat Factory, the Manager and the Pig-faced Monster were compelled to confront Xu Qin.
The blood vessels behind the Manager extended out from the room, suggesting some sort of secret within.
"As long as I can kill the Manager, everyone who’s been tortured might have a chance to be saved!"
Letting the Black Giant Python infiltrate the Ghost Pattern and enduring the agony caused by the Dark Energy entering his body, Han Fei ignored his wounds and sprinted with all his might toward the blood-red door deep within the factory.
The closer he got, the thicker the blood mist in the air became, and at that moment, Han Fei was like a fish swimming upstream in a Blood Sea.
His wounds reopened, causing him excruciating pain that twisted his features.
He could leave the game now, could walk away, but what would happen to the others if he did?
Biting his lip until it bled, Han Fei, holding the Mourning Gate Saber, charged directly into the room where the Manager resided.
As he entered the room, a shrill scream sounded behind him!
The Manager sensed something and decisively abandoned Xu Qin. His obese body charged at Han Fei like a small mountain.
Once the door was blocked, escape would be nearly impossible, but Han Fei had no other options. This was a rare opportunity, not to be missed.
Upon entering the room, he was met with a vision of blood.
The room was like a gigantic heart, with thick blood vessels covering the walls, floor, and ceiling.
The black and red blood surged through them, and one could even hear the sound of blood pouring into the Blood Pool.
"The blood vessels behind the Manager connect him to the entire factory. He uses these vessels to manipulate all the flesh tools within,"
The more critical the situation, the calmer Han Fei became. Panic could not help him; only absolute composure could increase his chances of survival.
Almost instantly upon entering the room, Han Fei began swinging the Boning Knife, using the hatred of a family of six to sever the room’s blood vessels.
Only by rendering the Manager unable to manipulate anything within the factory would he have the chance to climb the black balance and save people. Otherwise, those dozens of rusty hooks could easily pierce his body.
As the blade moved, black and red blood splattered everywhere, soaking Han Fei’s body. He clenched his teeth, "I need to cut even more!"
The blood, full of intense malice, splashed onto him, burning horrifying scars into his skin, but Han Fei didn’t care.
The eerie sound of a Wind Chime filled the factory. Furious to the point of madness, the Manager wished to hack Han Fei into thousands of pieces. He never expected that there was still someone hidden in the factory, let alone someone who could wield a Slaughter Saber!
His arm grew heavy, but Han Fei reached the deeper part of the room. He stabbed his knife into the area where the blood vessels were most concentrated. As he severed the last vessel, the entire factory began to tremble slightly as if there had been an earthquake.
The hooks clashed continually, and fine cracks appeared along the edge of the seemingly bottomless Blood Pool, even the pitch-black balance bearing humanity began to tilt slightly!
Han Fei had done everything he could. Standing at the back of the room, the Monster was about to reach the door.
The way out was nearly blocked. Holding the Boning Knife in his uninjured right hand, he had to leave, for there were more important tasks ahead.
Without any hesitation, Han Fei rushed toward the door, feeling as if he was about to collide with the massive-bodied Monster.
"Do or die!"
A heavy mix of stench and blood filled the air, but Han Fei never considered slowing down. He had to leave the room no matter what!
A Blood-colored Paperman, released in advance, blocked the Manager for a crucial second. It was this split second that allowed Han Fei to burst out of the room ahead of time!
Without slowing down, as he was about to collide with the Monster’s huge body, Han Fei only had time to twist his body, presenting his back toward the Monster.
While completing Zhang Guanxing’s hidden mission, he had acquired a passive ability, which reduced back damage.
Even with that, he felt severe internal injuries, his throat flooded with blood.
No longer distracted by controlling the Blood-colored Paperman, Han Fei rolled onto the ground, his gaze fixed on the black scale at the center of the Blood Pool at this critical moment.
When Xu Qin appeared, heavy footsteps had already started echoing from outside the factory, with Butchers locking onto her scent and rushing this way.
Han Fei knew he didn’t have much time, whether it was Hell or death that lay ahead, he had to proceed.
Enduring pain beyond what ordinary people could imagine, Han Fei crawled up from the ground, his eyes on the Cry hanging from the hook. He stepped back several paces and then dashed towards the Blood Pool full speed as if mad.
Stepping onto the edge of the Blood Pool, Han Fei used all his strength to jump toward the pillar at the center of the pool!
All the Residual Souls saw his reckless act, facing painful memories head-on, and even the Cry, struggling in deep despair, noticed Han Fei.
Falling into the Blood Pool meant either his soul would scatter or he’d endure excruciating pain akin to being flayed—Han Fei knew this, didn’t he?
There are few naturally brave people in the world, but many who clearly understand the consequences yet still choose to forge ahead.
"Bang!"
His bones struck the central pillar in the Blood Pool, tearing the wound on Han Fei’s shoulder, blood staining his back red.
Clutching the blood-stained black pillar with both hands, Han Fei climbed towards Cry with the fastest speed he could muster.
It seemed none of the Pig-faced Monsters could enter the Blood Pool; their filthy bodies would be directly dissolved by the pool.
Seeing Han Fei climb onto the scale with the Slaughter Saber, the Manager of the factory, with its bulging red eyes, furiously flapped its enormous hands against the ground.
Its ugly face distorted as it picked up a severed blood vessel from the ground, plunging it directly into its own heart.
Fine Blood Silks connected the blood vessel to its heart, the Pig-faced Monster using this method to barely control the black iron hook on the human nature scale.
Covered in wounds, climbing up the pillar was already extremely difficult for Han Fei; he struggled to avoid the thick iron hooks.
Even if he had planned every step, accidents still occurred—Han Fei could no longer retreat, knowing that climbing higher increased the chances of being hooked, yet he still moved toward the Residual Souls and Cry.
More Pig-faced Monsters kept appearing outside the factory, the pressure on Xu Qin slowly increasing.
The Pig-faced Monster by the edge of the Blood Pool let out a twisted laugh, controlling the iron hook to stab at Han Fei’s body again and again.
By the fourth hook attack, Han Fei’s arms were nearly depleted of strength; the hook in his eyes grew larger and larger.
His consciousness desperately tried to make his body dodge, but both his arms and legs reached their limits.
Just as the iron hook was about to pierce through Han Fei’s chest, something unexpected happened.
The twin brother’s Residual Soul, recently hung from the hook, endured the torment of being torn apart, swayed the hook, and used his own body to block it for Han Fei.
With his abdomen pierced, the brother looked miserably at Han Fei, seemingly hoping Han Fei could save someone else just like him, not to end up like him.
"Thank you."
Han Fei grabbed the Hook Lock, climbing higher.
Unlike the twin brother, he had climbed onto the scale with the Boning Slaughter Knife!
The sharp hatred severed the Blood Silks on the Pig-faced Mask, as more and more masks broke apart and fell, the scale of humanity began tilting towards Han Fei’s side, he was almost within reach of the Cry hanging at the top.
