Chapter 155: Chapter 155: Jin Sheng’s Academy Kaidan

"Echo?"

"Yes, it felt like he was standing in a sealed, empty house."

Zhang Guanxing gestured with his hand, "Over the phone, he told me he was fine, studying in the classroom, and told me not to worry."

"I thought to myself that this guy really had changed, he used to run out of class faster than anyone, not willing to stay in the classroom for a second longer, and now he continued to study there after school. No wonder his grades had improved dramatically."

"Hearing his tone, there was nothing abnormal, and he even joked with me, so my unease gradually disappeared."

"What really made me feel there was a problem was when, later that night, around eleven, I called him again."

"The sound on the other end was muffled. I asked what he was doing, and he actually said he was still studying in the classroom!"

"The classrooms are locked and lights out by that time; how could he possibly still be studying there?"

"I felt something was off, I sneaked out of dorm 104 and ran to the entrance of dorm 201."

"I tried knocking on the door and found out their dorm door was unlocked."

"Pushing the door open and looking inside, I saw only one student next to that jar."

"He was looking down intently at the jar, with a terrifying expression on his face."

"I didn’t dare to go over, I grabbed a broom behind the door and gently touched him with it, and he turned his head, his expression suddenly returned to normal, as if what I had just seen was all my own illusion."

"He motioned for me to not speak, and mysteriously waved me over, hinting me to take a look inside the jar, which seemed to contain something."

"Honestly, I was very curious, that jar seemed to possess a magical power, constantly drawing people towards it."

"My feet moved forward unconsciously, and by the time I realized it, I had already entered dorm 201."

"The student next to the jar was smiling at me, but I noticed his smile was fake, as if it wasn’t him smiling, but something else hiding inside his body."

"I dared not approach, I shouted my friend’s name loudly, but no one responded, and it was almost midnight!"

"I knew my friend wasn’t in the dorm, I took out my phone, and while dialing his number, I ran outside."

"The phone was answered after just one ring, I shouted into the phone, but moments later, two voices of my buddy came out simultaneously!""

"One from my phone and the other from that jar!"

"I was terrified, and just as I turned back to look, I saw the student standing by the table being grabbed by the neck."

"That pale hand was slowly pulling him into the jar."

"Dark blood stains appeared around the black jar, the room was empty, as if those students had never been there."

"My legs went weak, at that moment I heard my friend’s voice again, he asked me to join him inside the jar."

"Later, I don’t know how I managed to run out of the dorm, but now I dare not enter room 201 anymore."

Zhang Guanxing was obviously terrified, usually very rebellious, now he was as compliant as a model student, answering whatever was asked."

"Teacher, can you take me away from this dormitory building? It’s really getting weirder in here! I feel that if I continue to stay here, something bad will definitely happen!"

After hearing Zhang Guanxing’s story, Han Fei heard a system notification in his brain.

"Player number 0000, please note! You have successfully triggered a Grade-G hidden mission—The Jar."

"Mission requirement: Personally open the jar, look inside, and endure for three minutes."

"Limited-time mission: This mission will automatically settle within one hour of being triggered, if not completed, it will be considered a mission failure."

"Attention! Yimin Private Academy is a special map! With every mission failure within the map, the overall difficulty of the map increases!"

Upon hearing the task prompt, Han Fei was initially delighted, but his face changed instantly when he saw the task requirements.

Knowing that looking at the jar might lead to unforeseen consequences, the hidden task still required him to actively open the jar.

To leave the game, one must complete a task and stay for at least three hours.

Han Fei, wanting to successfully exit the game, reluctantly accepted this time-limited task.

The moment Han Fei accepted the jar task, the system’s voice reappeared in his mind.

"Player 0000, please note! You have successfully triggered Yimin Private Academy’s Grade F hidden task—Jin Sheng’s Kaidan."

"Jin Sheng’s Kaidan (Grade F Hidden Task): Complete seven Kaidan challenges within Yimin Private Academy!"

"Time-limited task: This task will automatically settle after seven game days; if not completed by then, it will be considered a failure!"

"Attention! All tasks within the Hidden Map are hidden tasks, and the rewards are extremely generous!"

Looking at the task panel, Han Fei had not expected to suddenly receive two tasks, one of which directly involved Jin Sheng’s name, making it arguably the most crucial task within Yimin Private Academy!

"Need to complete seven Kaidan challenges, huh?"

"Teacher? Teacher! Hey!" Zhang Guanxing softly called a few times, finally snapping Han Fei out of it.

"Is something the matter, Guanxing?" Han Fei triggered the task from the delinquent Zhang Guanxing, and now, his references to the delinquent had become affectionate.

"Guanxing was the name given by my dad; I haven’t used it for a long time. How about you just call me Wild Dog? That’s my name on the streets..."

"You’re still so young, don’t learn to mess with society; when I take you out, I will properly help you establish a correct view of life." Han Fei used the secret of touching the depths of the soul, patting Zhang Guanxing on the shoulder, feeling fear, panic, and disdain toward his father emanating from him.

"You’re the teacher, I’ll listen to you." Facing the unknown dangers, Zhang Guanxing had learned to be obedient, "Shall we first go find the dorm supervisor, or shall we contact other teachers first?"

"Let’s go to dorm room 201 first; I want to see that jar," Han Fei said, which shocked Zhang Guanxing.

"You don’t believe what I say?"

"It’s because I do believe you that I want to go there! There are still four of my students inside that jar; do you think I can just abandon them and run away alone? Is that something a teacher would do?" Han Fei grabbed Zhang Guanxing’s hand; "Let’s go."

"I have to go with you? Wait a second! Teacher, let go first!"

"Don’t fuss, there are many things more dangerous than that jar inside this building, and it’s safest for you to stay with me." Han Fei spoke earnestly, "If I am going to save those four students trapped in the jar, how could I possibly leave you alone here?"

With Zhang Guanxing, the two of them quietly slipped out of dorm room 104 and entered the corridor on the left.

The night was thick, and dark shadows flashed intermittently within the pitch-black dormitory building, with eyes full of crimson occasionally appearing at the end of the hallway.

Dorm room 201 was at the entrance of the hallway, and the door of the dorm was not fully closed, leaving a slit.

"How about I just wait at the door for you?"

"You’re scared to this extent and still have the audacity to mess with society? You’re really not living up to your name, Wild Dog." Han Fei dragged Zhang Guanxing into room 201 and quietly closed the door.

Dorm room 201 looked ordinary, except for a somewhat old, black jar placed on a wooden table in the middle of the room.

"Teacher, don’t get close! A hand will reach out from that jar!"

"Just stay by the door, holding a broom. If my consciousness starts fading, hit me with the broom."

"Okay."

Step by step, Han Fei approached the jar, but as he got close to it, he looked back at Zhang Guanxing and said, "If the broom isn’t enough to wake me, or say I get grabbed by a ghost into the jar, then don’t hesitate—run back to room 104 right away, and don’t just run around."

After instructing Zhang Guanxing, Han Fei allowed Xu Qin’s pet to wrap around his arm, and he lifted the lid of the black jar.
