The other three children followed suit, leaning in to kiss her too.

Lin Xiaoguai, a bit flustered, responded to their kisses, but her eyes were full of laughter.

When Shen Chi arrived, what he saw was this scene; his expression wasn’t great, but he couldn’t help but sigh.

Forget it, he was always a soft touch when it came to her.

"Daddy, it’s Daddy!"

At that moment, Little Sun spotted Shen Chi, let go of Lin Xiaoguai, and ran to him.

Lin Xiaoguai understood, then asked, "Didn’t Mrs. Yu call you to go back with her?"

"She did," Qiaoqiao said with her baby voice, "but we didn’t want to go, we wanted to play with Qiangzi and the others."

Lin Xiaoguai glanced over the neighboring twenty or so children, and the readily available workers, and felt at ease after some thought.

There were no water sources nearby, and with so many adults watching, it seemed unlikely that the children would get into trouble playing here.

"Alright, let’s go back," Shen Chi said, checking the time, "it’s almost time to eat."

Lin Xiaoguai nodded, turning to the quadruplets and said, "Say goodbye to your friends."

"I’m leaving now, I’ll come to play with you again tomorrow!"

"Not anymore, I want to be with Mommy and Daddy."
