"Hey, then I’ll just call you Wanwan, is that your name?" she asked while looking at her for confirmation.

"Yes, that’s my name," Lin Xiaoguai replied with a light smile.

"Then you can call me Shuzhen; it makes me feel younger," Wen Shuzhen said with a laugh.

Lin Xiaoguai found this sister-in-law’s personality quite lively and humorous. Although she was clearly more than a decade older than herself, she didn’t exude the steadiness of an elder, which made it easy to relax and be casual around her.

"Shuzhen," Lin Xiaoguai readily responded.

Wen Shuzhen really seemed happy upon hearing this and took her hand, saying, "What do you like to drink? Juice, soda, or how about a cup of coffee? That stuff was given to me by someone else; I find it as bitter as medicine, but apparently some people like it."

"I’ll have a glass of juice," Lin Xiaoguai said with a smile.

"Alright, just a moment."

Shen Chi and Luo Ming exchanged puzzled looks, not understanding how these two women had become so familiar with each other so quickly. Especially Shen Chi, he was more surprised; knowing that Wanwan was usually passive and slow to warm up in social settings, the fact that she could converse so casually upon first meeting was indeed rare.

"Shuzhen, entertain your sister-in-law; I’ll take Chi to my study," Luo Ming called out.

"Go ahead, go ahead," Wen Shuzhen waved them off as if shooing away a fly.

Luo Ming didn’t mind and led Shen Chi up to the second floor.

"I say Chi, how come you found a wife who’s like your little girl?" Luo Ming asked as soon as the study door closed.

Shen Chi punched Luo Ming in the eye, dark-faced, and said, "Speak human language."

Luo Ming was stunned for two seconds before starting to cry out in pain, "Damn it, I have a business deal to discuss tomorrow, how can I go out to meet people if this turns into a bruise?"

"That’s your problem," Shen Chi said as he found a chair to sit down in.

Luo Ming sat down across from him with a series of grunts, rubbing his eye and asked, "Seriously though, the sister-in-law looks really young. If I didn’t know that your daughter has just started talking clearly, I would’ve thought..."

The rest of his words were choked off under Shen Chi’s increasingly cold gaze.

"Well, I was confused just now; don’t take it personally," Luo Ming nearly cried. How had this kid not changed at all? Getting so violent when angered, and all the more unforgiving with people he knew well?

Shen Chi grunted but said nothing, his good mood for the day completely ruined by this silly fool!

Seeing that he was genuinely angry, Luo Ming became a bit anxious and, wiping sweat from his brow, said, "You mentioned last time that you wanted me to keep an eye out for a suitable property; I finally found the most suitable one for you. Don’t say your brother doesn’t look out for you; that property is highly sought after, but I managed to secure it for you first."

"How much did it cost?" Shen Chi asked, temporarily setting aside his irritation at the mention of business.

"One million five hundred thousand," Luo Ming hurriedly said, afraid Shen Chi would find it expensive: "That price is the lowest already; any more and people would have been unwilling. You can rest assured, I handled it for you, and at the very least, you’ll double your investment."

"Got it, rest assured, I’ll bring the money to you as soon as I get it." Seeing he had reasons that forced him to do this, Luo Ming sighed.

"Don’t believe everything Ah Ming says, making it sound so nice. He can barely play a game of chess, posing as some cultured man. Most of the books in his bookcase are brand new," downstairs, Wen Shuzhen said while pouring juice for Lin Xiaoguai, venting her spleen.
