My Fortune-Blessed Leading Lady
Chapter 86: The Point is Not This

Chapter 86: Chapter 86: The Point is Not This

Yuran saw that he wasn’t wearing them and put the slippers back in place, following him into the living room, "Seventh Brother, are you looking for me because something’s up?"

The presence of the great movie star Bo Yan in her house was like adding brilliance to a lustrous pearl. After all, this movie star avoided her like the plague, so the chances of him coming here willingly were slim. Could it be that her godmother had discovered something?

With that thought in mind, Yuran became a bit restless. After Bo Yan entered and sat down, she leaned in, "Seventh Brother, could it be that Godmother has discovered something?"

Bo Yan didn’t say a word, his gaze fixed on the bowl of noodles resting on the table.

Tomatoes and eggs were on top of the noodles, the broth was tinged red, and the noodles were distinct from one another, looking very appetizing.

Following his gaze, Yuran saw her own bowl of unfinished noodles.

With a puzzled face, was he hungry?

"Seventh Brother, do... do you want to eat?"

"Is there more?" Bo Yan replied in a cold voice, not sounding particularly eager to eat, as if he was just responding out of politeness since she had asked.

The smile on Yuran’s face was nearly impossible to maintain as she nodded, "There is."

"Then go make yourself another bowl, I’ll eat this one."

Yuran was sent to the kitchen and it took her a while to realize, why was she so submissive? He asked her to make noodles, and she just did?

How embarrassing?

But in front of Bo Yan, she never had much dignity to begin with, whatever, it’s just a bowl of noodles.

Simple and plain.

When she finished cooking the noodles and brought them out, Bo Yan had seemingly barely touched his bowl, appearing to have only taken a few bites. She sat down opposite him and inquired, "Seventh Brother, does it not taste good?"

Bo Yan’s thin lips moved slightly, "No!"

Yuran: "..."

As she mixed her noodles, Bo Yan across from her started to eat, still unhurried in manner, but the noodles in the bowl in front of him slowly diminished.

His pace had increased quite a bit, leaving Yuran uncertain about the reason for Bo Yan’s visit today. Could it really be just to mooch a bowl of noodles?

That wouldn’t make sense!

Bo Yan could have any delicacy he desires, why would he bother coming here for a bowl of tomato and egg noodles?

Baffled and unable to figure it out, Yuran stopped overthinking and ate quietly, without asking further questions.

After Bo Yan finished eating, he just stared at her, causing Yuran’s scalp to tingle. She stiffly raised her head and blinked her large eyes twice; from Bo Yan’s perspective, she looked like a wronged cat who didn’t dare to complain.

Before Yuran could speak up, he asked from across the table, "Don’t you have something you want to tell me?"

Yuran thought hard, then nodded. As Bo Yan breathed a slight sigh of relief, she said, "Seventh Brother, did you come here suddenly because Godmother discovered something?"

Bo Yan: "..."

Wasn’t that it?

His expression was hard to describe, and Yuran reviewed her words, feeling that she hadn’t said anything amiss, yet it seemed that she wasn’t wrong.

Bo Yan watched her reflective expression and his voice deepened, "Is that all?"

Yuran was even more puzzled. Did she need to ask something else? She didn’t have anything to say!

Bo Yan considered for a rare moment that maybe he hadn’t made himself clear enough.

He cleared his throat, "Don’t you want my help with anything?"

Yuran shook her head, "No."

Bo Yan thought: Could it be that because of my previous attitude toward her, she doesn’t want to speak up, worried that I won’t care about her?

With this realization, he couldn’t stay seated any longer and corrected his expression, "If there’s anything you need help with, you can tell me so that I don’t have to hear my mom nagging about it."

Yuran understood now. No wonder he had come looking for her; it was probably because he didn’t want to listen to his godmother’s nagging anymore. Yuran promised him sincerely, "Don’t worry, Seventh Brother, I’ll talk to Godmother properly."

Bo Yan: "..." The point is not that.
