My Crush Also Has a Crush on Me!
Chapter 179: I’m Angry

Chapter 179: Chapter 179: I’m Angry

"The last time you saved me, I didn’t even get a chance to tell you my name. I’m Xie Tiantian, and I’m here today to thank you."

Xie Tiantian’s gaze moved away from Fu Ying and landed on Shen Liguang, filled with joy.

Fu Ying felt suffocated, suddenly feeling a sourness in her heart.

No wonder she gets all petty when she gets jealous.

So, this is how she feels.

Feeling downcast, Fu Ying turned and went into the bedroom.

A single apartment, not very spacious, just one bedroom.

Xie Tiantian watched Fu Ying go in. The door opened and closed; she saw many girls’ things inside.

Shen Liguang glanced at the door and his face gradually turned cold: "The person who saved you is called Qian Zheng, and another is called Wu Xiaowu, you’ve got the wrong person."

"I am here for you."

Shen Liguang lowered his head to light a cigarette and took a glance at Xie Tiantian: "Come outside with me, I have something to say to you."

Outside, the wind stirred the branches, bare without leaves, revealing the nests of birds.

Shen Liguang took a puff of his cigarette, still savoring the taste of Fu Ying in his mouth, feeling irritable.

He turned to look at Xie Tiantian, who, because of her weight, seemed to struggle as she walked.

"Brother, can you wait for me, please?"

Shen Liguang frowned again.

Having grown used to a girl’s tender and soft "Brother", he couldn’t bear to hear anyone else call him that.

It felt strange, indescribably so, as if he wanted to reserve this title for her alone; no one else mattered, he only wanted the girl to keep calling him that.

Xie Tiantian called out to him again, and Shen Liguang finally stood still to wait for her.

The cold wind was sobering, dissipating the heat.

His flickering shadow, the chubby girl watched him, suddenly feeling his indifferent expression was so aloof.

A stark contrast to how he had just kissed that girl the moment he entered.

Fu Ying sat on the bed, hugging her knees and hiding her legs inside her arms.

He knew it, with his job, and being handsome, there would definitely be girls who liked him.

Now, the young ladies were even coming to his door.

Fu Ying took a deep breath, feeling a pain and stuffiness in her chest.

She felt like she was about to run out of breath, went to the window to open it, to let in some air.

Downstairs, Shen Liguang leaned against a streetlight, the girl calling him "Brother".

The man was unmoved, looking at her: "I don’t know what you’re thinking, but I think I can guess. You’re still young, you should focus on your studies, other thoughts aren’t for your age."

Shen Liguang looked up, towards the building. Fu Ying was peeking out of the window, probably noticing he was looking up, she quickly withdrew her gaze and turned to walk inside.

Shen Liguang smiled: "Go back, and don’t come here again."

Having said that, he crushed the cigarette and went upstairs.

The bedroom was tranquil, Fu Ying heard the door open.

She hurriedly took a book and pretended to read.

Shen Liguang knew she hadn’t absorbed a single word and found it funny.

He reached out, took the book away; the little girl pursed her lips and sulked, the first time he saw her get jealous, it was quite cute.

"Jealous, huh?"

"Not at all." The little girl’s voice bore a stubborn tone, making Shen Liguang’s heart itch.

To him, even her anger seemed like coquetry.

Especially that distinctive voice and tone of hers, soft and starchy, casually hooking at his heartstrings.

"You’re still angry, why did you go to the club last time?"

"Looking for fun." Fu Ying grabbed the blanket to cover herself, resembling a child when she’s petulant.

Shen Liguang suddenly laughed, his shoulders shaking slightly, as he reached out to pull the blanket off her: "Say that again."

"Go away, I want to sleep."

Fu Ying clutched the blanket and turned over, her back to him.

The little girl’s silhouette was stubborn yet slightly wilful.

Shen Liguang licked his lips, finding it quite amusing.

"Going to sleep without undressing?"

"I like to sleep without undressing."

"But I like to sleep undressed."

She couldn’t help but blush: "Don’t come over, go sleep on the sofa."

Fu Ying started to get a little sulky, but the man didn’t give her the chance, pulling her close to kiss her.

Fu Ying’s anger dissolved in an instant, her annoyed expression breaking.

"What are you doing? I’m mad at you."

"Mhm, I’m trying to coax you."

Shen Liguang bowed his head, capturing her lips with his.

He kissed her until she was breathless, her thoughts all a jumble.

His breath was hot and damp: "Still mad?"

Fu Ying clutched his sweater tightly, her face slightly red: "No, not mad anymore."

"Shall we go eat then?"

Fu Ying nodded.

Shen Liguang put on his coat and wrapped Fu Ying in a down jacket, covering her head with the hood.

"What do you want to eat?"

Fu Ying eyed the tantalizing array of snacks on the street, undecided.

Even the biting cold of winter didn’t stop people’s love for good food.

A spicy soup restaurant was so crowded it was almost trampled, and the neighboring dumpling shop was packed as well.

Fu Ying really didn’t feel like joining the throng and pointed at a hot pot restaurant: "Let’s have hot pot."

"Your call."

The man took her hand and they entered the restaurant, it was quite rare for them to dine together.

He thoughtfully asked her about every dish, Shen Liguang realized the girl ate anything and everything.

"We’ve been together two years and hardly ever eat together."

Shen Liguang paused, nodding: "Yeah."

Fu Ying took a deep breath and smiled: "It’s okay."

His "it’s okay" uncertain if it was meant to reassure himself or her.

Suddenly, the atmosphere grew silent; the boiling hot pot bubbled, and a thin mist rose, blurring the person before her.

"Why keep staring at me?"

Fu Ying snapped back to reality, her face blushing as she looked down: "Just looking."

Shen Liguang chuckled, teasing her: "You used to like looking, even sneak peeks."

"Can’t I just look?"

"From now on, it’ll cost you."

Fu Ying frowned, retorted: "Then you’ll have to pay every time you kiss me."

"Only kisses?"

Fu Ying’s face turned redder.

She chose to stop talking and focused on eating.

Shen Liguang laughed silently.

The meal lasted over an hour, and when they left, the streets were almost empty.

The two of them walked back hand in hand.

Fu Ying hoped this quiet road was very long, that they could walk for a very, very long time.

"Tonight, I can’t stay with you," he said.

It was quiet at night, his voice sounding particularly clear.

Fu Ying nodded, asking no questions, simply replied: "Okay."

"Will you go home, or back to your apartment?"

"The apartment, it’s closer to school."

Shen Liguang escorted her to the apartment and reminded her at the building entrance: "Be careful when you’re alone, check the peephole if there’s a knock on the door, don’t open it for strangers, double lock the door, make sure the windows are locked too, and no sweets after brushing your teeth at night..."

His string of cautions warmed her heart.

She reached up to pull down her hood, stood on tiptoe, pulled down on his coat collar, and kissed him.

"I got it, brother."

Shen Liguang licked his lips, his Adam’s apple bobbed, his eyes darkened.

"Don’t take the initiative."

"It’s quite exasperating."
