My Creation Came to Life on an Island in Another World -
Chapter 36: Exploring the Northwest
Chapter 36: Exploring the Northwest
Khan walked through the corridors with Luxian at his side.
The two remained silent as they walked.
Khan glanced at Luxian from the corner of his eye and thought,
This is still hard to believe... they got jealous of Shubniggurath for being near me most of the days... so now, each one spends the entire day with me...
Well, I honestly don’t mind it...
With the silence still hanging in the air, Khan tried to start a conversation,
"Luxian... what have you been up to lately?"
Luxian slightly moved the wings on her head, visibly excited, and answered,
"Just testing this world’s Qi on my own. Want a demonstration?"
"Sure... go ahead."
She raised one arm slightly, and around her hand, a faint blue glow formed.
"This is quite new, but I can use Qi almost effortlessly."
She then focused the energy into a single finger and positioned it for a flick with her index.
"With this, I can also do this."
She flicked the air—a sharp crack echoed through the corridor, followed by a gust of wind.
After a short moment, everything returned to normal.
"Hm... that was interesting."
"Yeah. When I fought those adventurers, it felt like they used it in such an unstable way, but if you use it efficiently, it can be something quite powerful."
Khan listened to all of that with great interest.
Maybe I should give Qi a chance too?...
After thinking about it for a moment, he quickly answered himself,
I think for now I’ll just focus on magic... I’ll check it out later.
After thinking through those things, another doubt formed in his mind, and he voiced it out loud,
"If it’s possible to use it like this... what are the chances the inhabitants of this world also know that?"
Luxian thought for a moment.
"High, but maybe only a select group of people ever reached that level. All the adventurers I fought weren’t that strong with their Qi."
"I see..."
Silence returned, and Khan asked,
"And your sister?... How’s her research going?"
Luxian seemed to think again, trying to recall.
"She’s doing well, I’d say. She’s also using the Akashic records effectively for it."
Hearing that response, Khan drifted into thought.
The Akashic records... they exist on the island? ...Maybe in that place I’ll find more about myself... since it’s supposed to hold the complete knowledge of the maps...
Khan asked,
"Where are the records located?"
Luxian seemed confused for a moment, but soon answered,
"They’re northwest of the island, in Area 1. If you want, I can take you there. It’s a bit close to the Eternal War, the place I rule."
"Lead the way..."
"Alright."
She walked ahead of Khan and opened one of the corridor windows. Climbing onto it, she jumped and took flight.
Khan did the same, but this time he didn’t use the same ability as before. Using the Fly skill, he flew without wings and with better control.
Heading northwest, many mountains appeared, covered in forests with towering trees.
Various beings roamed freely through the forest.
As Khan looked at that landscape, he saw something he couldn’t believe.
...You, from the past—I have one question... why the hell is there a damn T-Rex roaming the island?
Khan just sighed at the absurd randomness of his past self and kept flying.
Now they were passing over a large city where fantasy ruled.
There was a great tower with a red dragon perched on top, guarding the city.
At its center stood an academy of Mages and Knights, and the most prominent feature of the academy was its tall clock tower.
Looking at the academy, Khan thought,
Maybe I’ll come back here later... I’d like to see what that academy’s like...
Continuing their journey above the city, countless guilds, shops, stalls, and homes were scattered throughout, with the streets bustling with movement.
Leaving the city behind and flying over vast forests again.
After some time, a massive mansion suddenly appeared in front of them, caused by passing through an illusionary barrier. The forest was now thick with mist.
...This is the mansion of Delma Von Sangretes, a vampire in a haunted house... this place was part of a horror project... I’m starting to think all my old projects are actually present on this island...
Passing close to the mansion, they could hear the screams of people crying out for help.
They simply ignored it and continued their journey.
Leaving the barrier, the dark tone vanished, revealing the vast forest once again.
Flying for a while longer, the midday sun was now high in the sky.
Now they could see a massive circular tower—the place Khan had been wanting to reach.
The area was covered by a static cloud that made it snow constantly.
Around the tower was a city where scholars lived while reading the Akashic records. The city was called Akashica.
I had written that they study the books here... but now seeing it for real... I hope none of my information was leaked... that would be problematic...
Landing near the entrance of the tower, there were two giant statues that opened their eyes and looked at Khan and Luxian, checking who they were. Once finished, the eyes shut again.
The first thing Khan thought upon seeing what stood before him was,
Hm... and here I thought the doors to the throne room were massive...
The gigantic doors were wide open. They were made of a mineral called Ireole, which looked like ice but matched Mithril in hardness.
Behind Khan and Luxian, a group of seven people ran toward them wearing hoods.
Kneeling before the two, the one in front spoke,
"Oh, creator of knowledge and his guardian, what an honor to see you. May we assist you during your visit?"
Khan turned and saw that as normal by now, so he didn’t care and replied,
"I just came to visit the records... so I’ll handle it myself."
"Understood, creator of knowledge."
What’s with that title? Did I come up with that?... One day I’ll find a time-travel spell just to punch myself... It’s not possible—what a ridiculous title...
Thinking that, Khan asked himself another question,
What would happen if I went back in time? Would I return to Earth? Or just rewind to when I first arrived here?
More questions with no answers. Khan just sighed and began walking toward the tower’s entrance.
The ones who had knelt stood up and left, returning to what they were doing.
As Khan walked through the giant doors, Luxian asked,
"What did we come here for?"
"To check on a few things..."
Entering the tower, they saw hallways to their left and right leading to upper floors, while straight ahead was already visible the massive library.
Countless books lined huge shelves, and books were also stored along the walls of the tower.
Passing through the towering corridors of bookshelves, they reached an area with many tables and chairs, where several people were reading.
At the center of it all, where the carpet led, was a reception desk—a circular table with four attendants inside it.
Khan looked upward. There was no sign of a ceiling, and along the circular wall, climbing upward were balconies marking different floors, each lined with more bookshelves.
In the middle hovered a massive sphere filled with eyes—that was the Eye of Akashic, the guardian of the tower.
Looking at it all, Khan felt a moment of happiness as he thought,
This is bigger than I imagined...
No longer paying attention above, he looked to the reception desk.
As they approached, they were greeted by a young man wearing a monocle and carrying a book.
"Welcome, my creator. I am honored to attend someone as grand as you. Feel free to ask anything you want."
Khan got straight to the point and asked,
"Is there any information about me?..."
"Yes, we have. But it’s strictly protected. The only ones who can access it are the Seven Pillars—and, of course, the Creator."
Hearing that, Khan felt slightly relieved.
"Where is my information located?"
"In the restricted section, my creator."
Khan thought for a moment about where that was and then murmured,
"So, below the tower..."
"Precisely, my creator. Would you like me to open the stairs?"
Khan thought briefly and answered,
"Open them..."
The young man stepped aside, and the counter opened. From within the reception, a spiral staircase descending downward appeared.
"Feel free to proceed, my creator."
Khan walked to the stairs and began descending them. As he did, the entrance above closed behind him, leaving only darkness.
Descending a few more steps, he reached a library smaller than the one above. Its walls held no books, but magical stone lamps lit the entire place.
The spiral staircase circled around a central pillar in the middle of the lower library.
Upon reaching the ground, a half-dragon butler with an older appearance stood in pristine clothing, a white dragon tail trailing from his back, his posture straight as he awaited guests.
As Khan and Luxian approached, the butler greeted them with a slight bow and said,
"Welcome, masters."
Khan looked at him, and after a short moment, remembered his name and replied,
"Yes, Eldar... I’m here today to see my information."
"Of course, master. I shall guide you to your destination."
Returning to his upright stance, Eldar walked with elegance, leading them.
Arriving at a corridor with books lining both sides, Eldar said,
"In this corridor, you’ll find the information you seek, master."
"Alright... Thank you."
Eldar’s tail gave a slight twitch, but he restrained any further movement, maintaining his elegance, and said,
"Then I’ll take my leave here, master."
He bowed and returned to the entrance.
Khan looked at the corridor full of books and murmured,
"So there really is information about me..."
