Chapter 82 - 81: Big Trouble
Chapter 82: Chapter 81: Big Trouble
Lu Zixun turned his head to look at Jing Yingcai, who stood next to the streetlamp, his eyes filled with killing intent.
"Indeed, the master was right; STO indeed had another trick up its sleeve."
After taking a quick glance at the wall, Jing Yingcai walked onto the street, arms crossed, with an amused smirk as he looked at Lu Zixun.
Upon closer inspection of Lu Zixun, Jing Yingcai’s face lit up with ecstatic joy.
"Ding—Ecstasy value from Jing Yingcai detected +1000."
"So, you are the spokesperson ’cat’ for Yuesha Group? What a windfall indeed."
Licking his lips, Jing Yingcai’s eyes were filled with greed, "If I can capture you and bring you before the master, I can soon be promoted to an "A" level base..."
Before Jing Yingcai could finish his sentence, the streetlamp behind him ripped out of the ground and slammed hard into his back.
Jing Yingcai stumbled and fell to the ground.
Before he could rise, Lu Zixun, now enlarged, swatted him down ferociously, smashing him deep into the ground.
The pressure forced Jing Yingcai to spit out a mouthful of fresh blood, his right hand summoned a Wind Blade, clutching it tightly before stabbing it fiercely towards Lu Zixun’s paw.
Lu Zixun, now smaller, dropped from the sky.
Bending his body, his tail, with Infinite Strength, lashed out fiercely at Jing Yingcai.
"Pu!"
Once again, Jing Yingcai spat blood from a heavy injury to his back and collapsed on the ground, unable to get up.
His spine was broken by that last tail swipe from Lu Zixun.
Landing perfectly in front of Jing Yingcai, Lu Zixun extended a paw against Jing Yingcai’s head, his eyes filled with a grim look.
In Jing Yingcai’s fearful eyes, Lu Zixun swung his paw, a flash of cold light glinting.
Lu Zixun turned and ran towards Zone Q.
These were the humans Zeng Haoyang had referred to, those who had sided with the Abnormal Creatures.
Initially, Lu Zixun had thought these people couldn’t really stir up any chaos, but now it seemed, a dam can be destroyed by an ant’s nest.
Out of breath, Lu Zixun finally reached Zone Q.
In this area, the air was thick with the smell of blood.
Looking around, the once bustling streets now resembled a doomsday scenario.
Corpses littered the ground, cars were burning, and buildings had their windows shattered.
Apart from the crackling sound of the fire, the entire area was silent, like a dead city, sending shivers down one’s spine.
Like a headless fly, Lu Zixun randomly picked a direction and started walking.
He needed to find STO’s people first.
Just as Lu Zixun aimlessly ran through the streets, the silver badge on his neck suddenly began to flicker, signaling someone from STO was calling for help.
A flickering blue light caught Lu Zixun’s eye, like a lighthouse on the shore, giving him a direction.
Looking at the marked position on the silver badge, Lu Zixun turned and ran towards the direction of the blinking blue dot.
Standing on the street, he looked up at the building in front of him.
Lu Zixun saw Abnormal Creatures continuously running inside the building, his eyebrows slightly furrowed.
From just that glance, there were at least twenty to thirty Abnormal Creatures of various kinds.
Which posed the question, if he was to rescue the team members, the difficulty was quite high.
After analyzing, the likelihood of fighting his way up, Lu Zixun immediately dismissed the idea.
He wasn’t some King-level Creature, handling five or six was feasible, but twenty to thirty...
It was better to just run.
Taking an Invisibility Cloak out of the System Space, Lu Zixun draped it over his forehead and crouched, slowly edging towards the building.
Approaching the main entrance of the building, just as Lu Zixun was about to step inside, his eyes narrowed, spotting several Blood Worms on the ground.
If he stepped on it, he could indeed crush it, but by then Lu Zixun’s whereabouts would be exposed.
With two steps powering his back legs, Lu Zixun, biting the Invisibility Cloak, leapt from the air into the building.
He looked down at the silver badge, the blue glow should be on the fifteenth floor.
Lu Zixun was about to take the emergency stairs...
After some thought, he headed towards the elevator.
Covered in the Invisibility Cloak, Lu Zixun decided to take the risk, after all, he couldn’t be sure whether the person calling for help could hold on.
After cautiously checking his surroundings, Lu Zixun jumped up and pressed the elevator button.
The red light on the LED lit up, and the elevator slowly started descending.
The sound of the descending elevator also startled the abnormal creatures inside the building.
With his ears perked up, Lu Zixun could hear the sounds of the abnormal creatures running on various floors, as well as their continuous roaring.
Crouching beside the elevator, Lu Zixun appeared very calm, confident in the functions built into the Invisibility Cloak.
"Ding!"
The elevator reached the first floor. Just as Lu Zixun was about to slowly move in, he suddenly felt a jolt in his heart and instinctively took a step back.
From the gap of the opening elevator, a green liquid sprayed out, "sizzling" as it corroded the floor.
An alien hung in the elevator, looking out in confusion.
"Hiss."
The alien crawled out of the elevator, howling skyward.
The howling alien seemed to be communicating with someone. Lu Zixun’s mustache trembled as he suddenly remembered something.
It was the superpower tool he had previously disdained, the Language Translator.
If he remembered correctly, this superpower tool could translate different languages. He wondered if it could translate the language of the abnormal creatures.
Taking the Language Translator from the System Space, as the alien hissed again, this time Lu Zixun understood what the alien was saying.
"There’s no one outside the first-floor elevator! Hurry up and search above, find him quickly, don’t let him escape!"
These abnormal creatures were searching for that STO member who had called Lu Zixun for help.
Taking advantage of the alien’s distraction, Lu Zixun slowly moved into the elevator.
In the moment the elevator doors closed, Lu Zixun pressed the button for the fifteenth floor.
The slowly ascending elevator caught the attention of the alien outside.
He cursed loudly, "Who the hell messed with the elevator again? Want to roll back to the sewer?"
The alien’s cursing narrowed Lu Zixun’s eyes.
These abnormal creatures came from the sewers?
But hadn’t Zeng Haoyang said that those places were deliberately left for the abnormal creatures by STO?
What on earth had happened during the time he was with Yue Sichen?
"Ding!"
The elevator reached the fifteenth floor.
This time, there were no abnormal creatures to stop Lu Zixun.
Just as Lu Zixun was walking towards the direction of the blue dot, the system’s alert made him stop.
"Ding - detecting a Killing Intent Value from Ye Xun of +2000."
"Ding - detecting a Killing Intent Value from Ling of +2000."
"Ding - detecting a Killing Intent Value from Tan Ye of +4000."
"Oh no."
Lu Zixun gave a wry smile; things had just gotten complicated.
