Chapter 593: Chapter 563: The Three Great Bloodlines
Su Jin sneered, "Dead Rabbit, you don’t need to tell me that. Rest assured, as long as you don’t come out, I definitely won’t kill you. But I don’t believe you can hide in here for the rest of your life! The moment you step out—hmph!"
Su Jin slammed her Battle Axe, cracked a smile, and revealed her sharp canine teeth, "I promise to send you straight to the Fire Stove Workshop to stew some potatoes!"
Yi Zheng looked at Su Jin with a face full of sorrow and anger, "Are you never going to let this go?"
Su Jin firmly replied, "Yes!"
Yi Zheng nodded, "Alright, alright, let’s see how long you can guard me! I don’t believe you won’t attend class."
Su Jin laughed, "Class? We’ve just started at Book Mountain, and we’re all servants. A servant’s task is to attend to chores, not to take classes—there aren’t even any classes to attend."
Yi Zheng was speechless, "Do we really have such a big grudge? Is this necessary?"
Su Jin did not respond, but the fierce look in her eyes said it all—she was clearly very vengeful!
Yi Zheng, helpless, was unable to defeat his opponent in a fight, so he could only bear it.
But what kind of temperament did Yi Zheng have?
In the past, he had persisted with slow-paced fitness regimes just to stay alive, let alone now.
He simply lowered his head and continued to study the books in his hands.
Seeing that Rabbit was ignoring her and quietly reading, Su Jin naturally felt uneasy, so she walked into the Scripture House, circled around Rabbit, and muttered, "This butt, steamed and sliced with some garlic paste, should taste quite good.
These rabbit ears can be braised...
This little tail, minced and fed to the dogs..."
Having someone mutter these things nearby, Yi Zheng couldn’t concentrate on his reading anymore, but he said nothing. With insufficient strength, anything he said would be useless and just add to the ridicule.
He packed up the books on the ground, pondering a change of location.
At that moment, Lingyu approached, "Little Junior Brother, are you looking for a quiet place to study?"
Yi Zheng immediately nodded, "Yes, does Senior Brother Lingyu have a suitable place?"
Su Jin, upon hearing this, became furious immediately and glared at Lingyu, about to say something. However, after Lingyu casually glanced at her, she felt as though she had fallen into an ice cellar, as if she was about to die the next moment. Just a look, and she was drenched in sweat.
Lingyu said, "The Scripture Pavilion is a vital place in Book Mountain. To enter the Scripture Pavilion, one needs a personal note from one’s teacher. Has your teacher given you such a note?"
Su Jin shook her head guiltily.
Lingyu pointed outside, "Then please leave."
Su Jin didn’t dare to contradict; the handsome, calm, and mild-mannered man in front of her gave her the illusion of facing a storm. Though he appeared amiable, he was terrifyingly boundless; she dared not provoke him.
Su Jin could only leave in frustration, standing outside the courtyard of the Scripture Pavilion, but she still refused to leave.
Lingyu gave her another look, and Su Jin stomped her foot and turned to leave, "Rabbit, I refuse to believe you’ll never leave the Scripture Pavilion!"
Watching Lingyu walk away, Yi Zheng breathed a sigh of relief and bowed to Lingyu, "Thank you, Senior Brother Lingyu."
Lingyu smiled, "This place indeed isn’t suitable for studying, and Little Junior Brother seems to have no place to stay either, right?"
Yi Zheng nodded; it seemed that after he had arrived, he had been thrown here, and then nobody had bothered about him.
Lingyu said, "Come with me."
Grateful, Yi Zheng packed his things and followed Lingyu to the back of the Scripture House, where he discovered several houses.
Lingyu pointed to a wooden house on the side, "That one is vacant; you can live there. Go inside to read your books, no one will disturb you."
Yi Zheng was extremely grateful, "Thank you so much, Senior Brother Lingyu."
Lingyu shook his head, "You and I are schoolmates; it’s only right to help you. Alright, I have other matters to attend to, so you go on and study hard."
With that, Lingyu left.
Yi Zheng entered his room, a simple space with just a bed, a desk, and a chair, not even a toilet.
But with Yi Zheng’s current capabilities, he didn’t need to use the bathroom anyway.
Yi Zheng was tired from studying, but the thought of a woman outside wielding a big axe, ready to chop his head off the moment he showed up, kept him alert.
He suddenly felt much more spirited, washed his face, grabbed the books, and continued to immerse himself in reading.
Over the next month, he hardly ever left his home.
Whenever he felt tired or sleepy, he would wash his face to freshen up and then continue studying.
Although he couldn’t finish all the books in one month, he still gained a considerable amount of knowledge.
Among these, his understanding of various Bloodlines had significantly surpassed his previous knowledge.
"My body can now withstand a maximum of three Bloodlines coexisting within it; any more, and the Bloodline Powers would reject each other, at best causing injury, at worst resulting in my body exploding and death.
Even so, these three Bloodlines still cannot be chosen at random.
Some Bloodlines are enemies of each other and would fight incessantly once inside my body, neither resting until death.
Those with too great a difference in Level also won’t work, as the weaker Bloodlines would be suppressed, unable to use their power.
Therefore, choosing a Bloodline must be done carefully."
Yi Zheng pondered and began experimenting with various combinations of Bloodlines.
Another month passed, and after referencing a large amount of data and constant experimentation, Yi Zheng finally found three synergistic Bloodlines that could increase his strength tenfold and ensure his safety to the maximum extent.
These were the Xuanwu Bloodline, the Houtu Bloodline, and the True Martial Emperor Bloodline.
The Xuanwu is widely recognized as a strong defender among the four divine beasts, predominantly associated with the north and governed by water. After Yi Zheng’s thorough study and contemplation, the Xuanwu Bloodline was activated to the second level.
Xuanwu Bloodline Level 2:
Xuanwu Transformation: Activates the Xuanwu Bloodline within the body, transforming into Xuanwu, increasing total Defense Power to that of an eighth Level two-star Super Divine Beast Xuanwu. It ignores all attacks from creatures within the same realm, and can block 80% of the damage from the strongest Super Divine Beast attacks.
Xuanwu Enhancement: In Xuanwu state, the more defensive moves performed, the stronger the Defense Power becomes.
Each additional Divine Defense Skill increases the Defense Power by 10%.
Xuanwu Crystal Realm: Freezes within a five hundred meter diameter, crystalizing the Void to form an Absolute Defense Barrier, unbreakable by beings of the same realm. For non-Super Divine Beasts, it can withstand attacks from two realms higher than its own.
Houtu Bloodline Level 1:
Houtu Transformation: Activates the Houtu Bloodline within the body, transforming into Lady Houtu, with feet on the ground and endless Spiritual Energy, capable of moving and changing the mountains and sands within a kilometer radius for attack and defense, tripling the current Defense Power.
Mountain Moving Technique: Harnesses the power of the earth to suppress powerful enemies, with potential for amplification.
True Martial Emperor Bloodline Level 1:
True Martial Emperor Transformation: Activates the True Martial Emperor Bloodline within the body, transforming into the True Martial Emperor, gathering the northern Kui Water Power into Water Cold Ice Armor, tripling the Defense Power, and absorbing an attacker’s strike to counterattack, dealing an attack damage of 80% of the enemy’s and 80% of his own Defense Power combined with Ice and Yin Attributes.
Xuanwu Protection: Summons Xuanwu to descend, doubling all attributes during the True Martial Emperor Transformation.
Most importantly, these three Bloodlines are of similar Levels, do not repel each other, and the True Martial Emperor and Xuanwu Holy Beast are incredibly complementary, with their skills even capable of integrating with each other.
Furthermore, the Houtu Bloodline possesses the Great Emperor’s inclusiveness and can almost blend with any Bloodline without conflict.
When all three Bloodlines are activated simultaneously, Yi Zheng’s Defense Power will reach an unimaginable level.
Firstly, upon activating the Xuanwu Bloodline, Yi Zheng will have a base Defense Power of a Super Divine Beast Level, unmatched by anyone within the same realm unless facing a Super Divine Beast offspring.
By adding forty Defense Skills, his Defense Power directly quadruples, making him oblivious to even Super Divine Beast offspring.
Next, by activating the True Martial Emperor Bloodline and further tripling his Defense Power, and initiating the Xuanwu Transformation, his entire Defense Power doubles again, on that basis.
That brings the total to a twenty-fourfold increase in Defense Power!
Finally, with the Houtu Bloodline, leveraging mountains and stones for defense, the Defense Power triples yet again!
That makes it seventy-two times!
Since Yi Zheng himself perfectly advanced from the previous levels, his own attributes are ten times those of other bosses within the same realm!
Therefore, his current Defense Power is essentially like having attributes seven hundred and twenty times his own!
What does that mean?
The gap from early Stage to Mid-Stage of a Tier is about a twofold difference, and from Mid-Stage to Late Stage is another twofold, and so forth, from early Stage to Great Perfection Realm, the strength difference would be about eight times.
