Chapter 337: Chapter 337: The Event Content was Plagiarized
Lin Qian took the three little ones shopping for children’s clothing. Unsurprisingly, their arrival caused another wave of amazed stares and praises from passersby and store clerks.
Everyone marveled at the high-level looks of the three kids and envied Lin Qian for having such exquisitely charming children.
Feeling secretly delighted, Lin Qian didn’t bother to explain Candy’s true identity, letting the crowd continue to believe she was her daughter.
Of course, some still recognized Lin Qian and began whispering amongst themselves.
Lin Qian chose to ignore them and instead focused on helping the three little ones pick out suitable clothing.
After a round of shopping, Lin Qian glanced at the time, knowing that Fandi’s sales event was about to begin.
"Kids, we need to head out now."
Her two sons didn’t seem to have any objections, but Candy looked visibly unhappy.
"Mommy, are we going back already? Candy wants to spend more time strolling around with Mommy."
She had finally gotten some precious time to be with Mommy, and leaving now felt way too soon!
What about Daddy?
Could it be that he was really gone?
"Candy, Mommy’s still working today, and she’ll have to do some research later," Lin Zirui explained, looking at Candy.
"Research? What kind of research? Can Candy go with Mommy?"
Candy blinked her bright, glimmering eyes and asked curiously.
"Uh...."
Lin Zirui glanced at Lin Qian, who deliberated for a moment before smiling. "I’m just going to see a sales event. If you don’t think it’d be boring, I’ll bring you along to watch before we leave."
It was the weekend, and the mall was bustling.
On certain floors, people dressed in mascot costumes were handing out flyers.
Judging by the liveliness, the kids would probably enjoy the atmosphere.
Using this research opportunity to take the three little ones for a casual stroll didn’t seem like a bad idea.
"Okay, Mommy, let’s go quickly!"
Candy giggled, tightly holding onto Lin Qian’s hand.
Lin Qian felt her heart soften. Just as she was about to take the large shopping bags the clerk had packed, a black-clad bodyguard suddenly appeared out of nowhere and took the bags from the clerk’s hands.
Lin Qian awkwardly stood with her hand outstretched, watching the man respectfully nod at her before retreating. Pinching her lips, she lowered her hand back down.
Remembering her scheduled time with Yin Moran, Lin Qian hesitated briefly and then pulled out her phone to send him a message.
"I’m taking Candy to see the sales event for Fandi. Come pick us up in half an hour."
After sending the message, she pocketed her phone and took the three little ones downstairs.
Today’s sales event for Fandi consisted of two venues.
The original counter remained active, but the main event was being held in the open plaza on the first floor.
By now, the spacious open plaza already had a temporary stage set up. Pulsing music reverberated in the air.
Lin Qian arrived outside the stage area with the three little ones and gazed at the dense crowd from afar, silently pressing her lips together.
The turnout looked good!
But she couldn’t help wondering about the specifics of Fandi’s sales strategy this time.
Nearby, someone was flipping through a promotional booklet for Fandi’s luxury goods. Lin Qian’s casual glance at the pages made her frown, her expression shifting.
"Excuse me, could I borrow your promotional booklet for a quick look?"
Why did the contents of this booklet look so similar to their own upcoming sales event?
Even the design and color palette of the booklet closely resembled their own promotional materials.
And as for the content...
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Fandi Luxury’s event..."
On the stage, the emcee had started the presentation.
Following the opening remarks, a group of models dressed in various qipao outfits stepped onto the stage, showcasing the jewelry in their hands.
The music shifted to a retro and elegant tune, accompanying the jewelry presentation, which culminated in the final model’s appearance...
Lin Qian stared firmly at the stage, watching as the last model posed with Fandi’s newest product. The emcee then announced the promotional packages for the event.
The procedure, the discounts—all of it, except for the product itself, were eerily identical.
Was it merely a coincidence?
But this coincidence was simply too improbable!
Lin Qian pressed her lips together tightly, her eyes fixated on the ongoing model showcase, feeling her heart sink lower and lower.
If just one segment of the model presentation could be chalked up to coincidence, the similarity of the subsequent fashion display meant it was far from simple luck.
Some of the finer details she’d conceptualized after much deliberation seemed uncannily identical. She felt it impossible for two individuals to share such identical trains of thought!
Could it be that the sales ideas she painstakingly devised in the hospital had been stolen by Fandi?
Lin Qian’s hand unconsciously tightened as waves of emotions surged through her.
"Mommy, my hand hurts!"
Beside her, Candy’s voice of complaint brought Lin Qian back to her senses.
Startled, Lin Qian immediately released her grip.
"I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, Candy. I didn’t mean it. Did I squeeze your hand too hard?"
Candy shook her head, her little brows furrowing as she looked at Lin Qian. "Mommy, what’s wrong? You seem unhappy."
"Mommy, your face doesn’t look good. Did something happen?"
"Mommy, what’s going on?"
Her ears became filled with the concerned voices of the three little ones. Lin Qian’s heart warmed, though her expression remained distressed.
"It’s nothing major, just some issues with Mommy’s work."
Tomorrow was MXL’s promotional event, yet with the identical sales strategy, why would any customer bother buying their brand’s luxury goods?
Even if loyal patrons came to support their brand, the event’s effectiveness would fall far below expectations.
For new customers who weren’t yet invested in the brand, when faced with similar activities from two equally competitive brands, people would naturally compare the discounts first.
The lower discount wins their attention.
And if the discounts are the same, the brand that hosts its event first gains the upper hand.
It was clear that tomorrow’s event for their brand would perform terribly!
"Mommy’s work is having problems? What kind of trouble?"
"Mommy, tell us your problem! Maybe we can help."
"Yeah, Mommy, don’t worry. We can figure something out together."
The brothers frowned in unison, earnestly pressing her for details.
Beside them, Candy kept nodding affirmatively.
Lin Qian glanced into three pairs of deep, ebony eyes and felt both warmth and gratitude.
Even though she didn’t believe the kids could genuinely help, she didn’t want to brush aside their heartfelt intentions.
"See that brand over there? Their brand and Mommy’s store brand have always been competitors. Just now, Mommy realized that it seems like the sales ideas I created were stolen by them. Tomorrow’s supposed to be our sales event, but now it’s a disaster."
Her ideas had been stolen, and worse, there was no proof that she came up with them first.
If they proceeded with the existing sales strategy tomorrow, the industry insiders would mock and look down on them.
After all, people cared about who came first.
Now that Fandi had launched their event first, her MXL counter would undoubtedly be in the wrong.
If things escalated, people wouldn’t accuse Fandi of stealing but would instead turn the tables on her!
