Chapter 318: Chapter 318: The Most Despicable Person is Yin Moran

Under the soft light at the dining table, a few people gathered and prepared to eat.

Chu Yelin opened a bottle of wine, pouring it into his own glass as well as Lin Qian’s and Xu Xinyi’s, then filled two glasses of milk for Chu Ziyang and Lin Zirui, the brothers.

He raised his glass, his gaze sweeping over everyone, and spoke first with a smile, "Today is a special day. I’m so glad we could all get together. Come, let’s raise our glasses and toast to the two boys’ academic success and bright futures, and to everyone having a fresh start."

A fresh start!

Lin Qian pressed her lips into a soft smile, raising her glass to clink it with the others.

"Zirui, Ziyang, keep up the good work!"

Xu Xinyi offered her blessings to the brothers, who exchanged a glance and nodded, taking sips of their milk.

Lin Qian downed a big gulp of her wine, set down the glass, and started adding food to the brothers’ plates.

"My treasures, Mom loves you the most. Eat more so you can grow taller and stronger."

These two little ones who made her so proud—she wished them nothing but the most perfect life in the future!

"Mom, we love you the most too! You should eat more as well!"

Lin Zirui picked up a piece of food with his chopsticks and placed it in Lin Qian’s bowl, looking adorably well-behaved.

"Mm, I agree."

Chu Ziyang nodded in agreement and added another piece of food to Lin Qian’s bowl.

Feeling warmth from her two thoughtful boys, Lin Qian’s heart melted.

Men? How could they ever measure up to sons?

After today, she would never waste her energy worrying over any man!

Lin Qian patted one and then the other, gesturing for them to eat more. She then raised her own wine glass and finished it in one gulp.

Opposite her, Chu Yelin was sipping his wine slowly. His gaze lingered on Lin Qian’s face, and when she finished her drink, he naturally refilled her glass.

"Thank you."

Lin Qian thanked him, took the wine glass, and once again downed it in one go.

After today, she wouldn’t spare a thought for a certain man.

So today, she decided to indulge herself just this once.

"Chu Yelin, give me the bottle."

Lin Qian stretched her hand toward Chu Yelin, signaling for him to hand her the wine bottle.

Chu Yelin raised an eyebrow slightly, the corner of his lips curling up as he said, "What, are you planning on drinking directly from the bottle?"

Lin Qian shot him a disapproving glance and replied, "No, give me the bottle. I’ll pour it myself once I’m done; that way you don’t have to bother."

"But I’m happy to do it."

Chu Yelin took Lin Qian’s wine glass and leisurely refilled it, his voice magnetic and charming, "Serving you is my pleasure."

Lin Qian didn’t reply, simply watching as the glass in Chu Yelin’s hand gradually filled to the brim.

Once he pulled back his hand, she picked up the glass and drained it in another single gulp.

"Mom, you should drink less."

Lin Zirui frowned and spoke up after seeing her down several glasses in quick succession.

"Yeah, Mom, if you keep drinking like this, you’ll get drunk very soon."

Chu Ziyang echoed with a worried expression on his young face.

"Relax, your mom can hold her liquor."

Lin Qian chuckled, her cheeks already tinged red after several glasses.

She added food to the brothers’ plates, eating some herself as well.

Opposite her, Chu Yelin curled his lips again, refilling Lin Qian’s glass, and poured a little for himself and Xu Xinyi too.

He raised his glass, his elongated eyes fixed on Lin Qian. "Qianqian, I toast to you. Today, drink to your heart’s content. Tomorrow, I hope you can leave behind all unpleasant memories and truly start over."

He hoped she’d completely end things with Yin Moran.

And hoped she’d direct her attention toward him.

Lin Qian swallowed her food, decisively raised her glass to clink it with Chu Yelin’s, and drank it all in one breath.

Seeing her act so boldly, Chu Yelin chuckled lightly and drained his own glass as well. His elongated eyes shimmered with amusement. "I didn’t expect Qianqian to be so straightforward when drinking."

"Well, maybe it’s hereditary?"

Xu Xinyi, who had silently emptied her own glass, suddenly chimed in, her seemingly casual tone carrying an odd undercurrent.

The smile in Chu Yelin’s eyes faded as he slowly turned to glance at Xu Xinyi, whose cheeks had also reddened visibly. A peculiar glint flashed through his peach blossom eyes.

He said nothing, only poured himself another glass, fiddling with the stem of the glass as his gaze shifted again to Lin Qian across the table.

Hereditary?

Was Xu Xinyi deliberately hinting at something?

Lin Qian ignored the exchange between the two, continuing to sip her wine and enjoy the dishes.

As the drinks kept flowing, her words began to slur, and she showed clear signs of nearing intoxication.

"Mom, stop drinking and go rest."

"Yeah, Mom, you’ve already finished two bottles. You shouldn’t drink anymore."

The brothers looked at Lin Qian, full of concern.

"It’s... fine, Mom... isn’t drunk! My babies, you’re... the best. Mom loves you most!"

Lin Qian’s cheeks were flushed, her almond-shaped eyes glazed from the alcohol.

She kissed one on the left, then the other on the right, giggling foolishly.

The brothers frowned identically, their faces mirroring each other in worry.

Chu Ziyang stretched out his soft little hand to wipe off the saliva left on his face. He glanced somewhat helplessly at Chu Yelin across the table.

"Dad, Mom’s drunk. Please help her to her room to rest."

Hearing this, Chu Yelin set his wine glass down, nodded, and stood up, saying, "Alright."

"I’m not drunk! Chu Yelin, you... stay right there."

Lin Qian staggered to her feet, her slender finger pointing at Chu Yelin as she tried her best to appear fierce. But the alcohol softened her voice, infusing it with a delicate charm.

Allured, Chu Yelin leaned back slightly, watching her intently without stepping closer.

Lin Qian’s chest heaved, her dazed eyes glaring at Chu Yelin. "Chu Yelin, don’t come near me! I hate you, do you know that? Just thinking about what you did to me four years ago makes me despise you! You’re a bastard, a complete bastard!"

A complete bastard?

Well, she could curse all she wanted!

The man who had taken advantage of her four years ago truly deserved all the scorn!

But if only she realized the one she should hate most was Yin Moran, not him!

Chu Yelin smiled faintly, briefly tempted to reveal the truth.

If she found out the person who had robbed her of her innocence four years ago was Yin Moran, would she still curse him?

Of course she would!

Watching her sway unsteadily, Chu Yelin chose to disregard her drunken threats. He strode over and steadied her.

"Alright, given that I left you with two sons, could you stop hating me and try accepting me instead?"

"No, no! Men are all pigs! I don’t want you, and I don’t want him either. I only want my sons!"

Lin Qian continued to struggle, rambling drunkenly.

Chu Yelin chuckled, ignoring her resistance as he guided her into the bedroom.

Lin Qian’s head was spinning, her nerves loosening from the alcohol.

The moment her head hit the pillow, she drifted off into a hazy sleep.

Even in her dreams, she continued murmuring drunken words.

Chu Yelin pulled the blanket over her and listened carefully as she slurred in her sleep.

"Yin Moran, you’re a bastard!"
