Chapter 291: Chapter 291: It’s Time to Change the Attitude Towards Him
Upon hearing Chu Yelin’s questioning, Yin Moran suppressed the coldness in his body and said coldly, "There’s no need for you to tell me, I’ve already instructed Han Chen early this morning."
"Yin Moran, you better pray that my two sons are unharmed, otherwise..."
Chu Yelin was filled with hostility, his eyes flickering with a dark glow.
At the sickbed, Lin Qian wiped away her tears, her heart filled with anxiety.
Just then, Yin Moran’s phone rang, it was a call from Han Chen.
Yin Moran quickly answered, "Speak."
"Mr. Yin, the transportation department just called, we have currently identified two suspicious vehicles heading in opposite directions, east and west. I am now driving eastward, and for the west..."
"I will go personally."
Yin Moran spoke in a deep voice, then gave a few more instructions and hung up.
His gaze met Lin Qian’s anxious eyes, Yin Moran suppressed the chilliness and said softly, "Don’t worry, I’ll go out for a bit and will definitely bring the two children back safely."
The children had come into trouble under his watch; he had to find them personally.
He couldn’t let Lin Qian become disheartened at this critical moment.
"Moran, you must find my two sons."
Lin Qian wiped her tears again, her eyes watery as she looked at him, her face a picture of vulnerability.
Yin Moran nodded, cast a glance at Chu Yelin, and strode out, calling Nangong Li.
"Li, where are you? I need your help with something."
After Candy had her surgery, he had asked Yin Qinglan to stay and take care of her, sending the others back.
Now, to find the two children, he needed Nangong Li’s help.
Watching Yin Moran’s departing figure, Chu Yelin’s hostility seemed to lessen slightly, the corners of his mouth imperceptibly curving.
His gaze noticed the bodyguard stationed outside the hospital room; he knew that this was a bodyguard left by Yin Moran.
A cold gleam flashed in Chu Yelin’s narrow eyes as he looked at Lin Qian, "I’m going out to make a call."
Everything was under control.
Lin Qian oh Lin Qian, he really had put in a lot of effort to make her willingly follow him.
Chu Yelin left the hospital room and dialed a number.
"Where are you? Show yourself."
Inside the hospital room, Lin Qian sat dazedly on her bed, her heart full of anxiety.
All she could think about were her two children.
Who had kidnapped them?
Why would they do that?
Was it for money?
Her two adorable children, what was happening to them right now?
Her mind in turmoil, Lin Qian was restless.
There was a noise at the door, Lin Qian lifted her eyes to see, barely making out a bodyguard outside checking a medical staff’s cart.
Then, the door was pushed open and the medical staff entered with the cart.
Lin Qian glanced at the IV bottle above her, which was still half full.
It seemed she hadn’t rung for it.
But now, her mind was elsewhere, and she had no interest in thinking about these matters.
"Stop, don’t run."
Suddenly, a low shout came from the door, startling Lin Qian, her face a picture of shock.
Who was the bodyguard calling not to run?
Could it be the person who had tried to kill her before showing up again?
An inexplicable feeling of unease came over Lin Qian.
At that moment, the medical staff who entered was already picking up an IV bottle from the cart, preparing to change Lin Qian’s drip.
Lin Qian’s gaze returned from the door, and on catching a glimpse of a tattoo on the wrist of the medical staff, she couldn’t help but blink.
Could medical staff entering the medical field have tattoos on their wrists?
And usually, it was female nurses who came to change the IV; why was it a male nurse today?
Thinking of everything, Lin Qian’s heart suddenly started thumping.
As her eyes moved up, they met the gaze of the newcomer.
The man’s eyes were fierce, exuding a ruthless aggression.
Lin Qian’s heart skipped a beat, and she blurted out, "Who are you? You’re not a doctor?"
The man was taken aback, and then, a ferocious light flashed in his eyes.
He violently grabbed a scalpel from the cart, threatening to stab it towards Lin Qian.
"Ah! Someone help! Help!"
Startled, Lin Qian hurriedly dodged the knife in the man’s hand, her face filled with panic.
Just then, the door was pushed open, and Chu Yelin walked in, immediately shouting, "Lin Qian!"
"Chu Yelin, someone is trying to kill me!"
Seeing Chu Yelin come in, Lin Qian cried out in fear and surprise.
Chu Yelin’s expression turned cold and grim, and he swiftly charged at the man. "Who are you? Don’t hurt her."
The man glanced at Chu Yelin and, swinging the scalpel, stabbed towards him.
Chu Yelin quickly dodged and began to struggle with the man.
Panicked, Lin Qian forcefully pulled the IV out of her hand and hastened towards the door of the hospital room.
She needed to call for help!
Chu Yelin, still fighting the man, gave him a look.
The man, understanding the cue, lunged towards Lin Qian.
Lin Qian screamed, startled as she saw the man’s knife driving straight towards her chest, her feet rooted in place.
"Stop!"
As the man’s voice echoed, Lin Qian felt a warmth on her body, and then she was enveloped in Chu Yelin’s arms.
A muffled groan sounded, and Lin Qian felt Chu Yelin’s embrace tighten.
Her heartbeat quickened as she saw the sharp blade being pulled from Chu Yelin’s back, the blade’s tip stained red with blood.
Murder!
Chu Yelin had been stabbed by this man while protecting her.
Lin Qian swallowed hard, hurriedly supporting Chu Yelin and shouting toward the door, "Murder! Someone, come quick!"
The man’s gaze flickered as the door opened and a bodyguard entered. He frantically waved the sharp blade, keeping the bodyguard at bay, then quickly fled the scene.
The bodyguard tried to give chase but was stopped by Lin Qian.
"He’s hurt, quickly call a doctor."
"Yes."
The bodyguard went to obey the order, and Lin Qian turned to Chu Yelin, asking anxiously, "Chu Yelin, are you alright?"
"It’s nothing, just a minor injury. How about you? Are you hurt?"
Chu Yelin bore the intense pain, his normally rosy lips now pale.
"I’m fine, thank you for saving me."
A wave of gratitude washed over Lin Qian, not expecting Chu Yelin to have saved her.
"It’s nothing, I had to keep you safe because I promised our two sons I would protect you."
Chu Yelin grasped Lin Qian’s hand, taking a deep breath, his gaze intense.
Lin Qian’s eyes shimmered, her emotions surging.
The warmth from his touch traveled up her hand. She attempted to withdraw her hand, but he gripped it tightly.
At that moment, the bodyguard returned with medical staff.
Several people helped Chu Yelin up, ready to take him to the emergency room.
Lin Qian tried to free her hand but he held on, forcing her to quickly follow.
As they left, in another partly ajar hospital room, Qiao Xiya coldly watched the scene unfold, her red lips curling slightly.
Good, Chu Yelin had become Lin Qian’s lifesaver. Would Lin Qian’s attitude towards him change now?
He was the father of her children and now her lifesaver; how could she not want to be with him?
