Chapter 576: 201. Canyue Desperate Battle (2)
Gravity Compression!
Li Aozi kneeled on the opponent’s chest, raised his fists, and began to hammer down fiercely.
Bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang!
Each punch fell like a torrential downpour from the heavens; Destroyer’s head took direct hits from Li Aozi’s ferocious fists, creating a Mach cone, the air igniting into flames due to the intense friction, making his fists incredibly hot as they solidly connected with his face, muscles distorting and writhing under the tremendous force. Yet, despite this, his Arcane Energy ability "Crescent Moon" remained loyally at work, nullifying 80% of the impact force; Li Aozi, lacking Zeta Rank effects, still fell short in output.
But this did not mean that Li Aozi’s punches were soft and powerless.
On the contrary, with every heavy blow that fell, Destroyer’s head was forcefully driven into a deep pit in the ground.
—His punches were too powerful, and they required no other control skills.
Together with the amplification from gravity, each punch dropped like a meteor in free fall, bombing the ground with precision. In no time, the residual waves blasted through the earth, and the screaming shockwaves expanded outward like sharp blades, cutting and tearing through the buildings in their path.
Whether it was a forest woven of reinforced concrete or the natural world of majestic mountains, the sound of destructive punches was like incessant nuclear explosions deafeningly echoing without end.
Destroyer’s health points rapidly depleted, round after round of punches left him barely able to catch his breath, and his Implant Gear body could not withstand such torment.
’If this goes on, I will lose—’
Destroyer focused, held his breath, and desperately swayed left and right, surreptitiously releasing biotic electric currents from his Implant Gear, gradually paralyzing Li Aozi, causing the speed of the punches to quickly drop.
That’s it!
He seized a gap in Li Aozi’s punches, suddenly swung up his elbow, struck under Li Aozi’s ribs, flipped over, and as if high jumping, grazed over Li Aozi’s shoulder and landed; at that moment, Destroyer raised his claws and grabbed Li Aozi’s face firmly.
Dimensional Rift!
Li Aozi’s head was instantaneously cleaved into six elegant fragments.
"Hmph, is that all? No matter how strong you are, you must be at the end of your rope now—"
Before Destroyer could finish speaking, he saw the headless body slowly rise up, atop it a grey spatial ripple burning like flames, step by step walking towards him.
Destroyer’s smile froze; he slowly backed away.
"You...for Sequential Arcane Energy, did you really cut off your own head?"
Li Aozi continued stepping forward, his hands flexing and fingers extending, each one curling into a fist.
"Criminal Destroyer!"
A shout of anger suddenly echoed from the sky.
Destroyer looked up, and there, "Stormbringer" Nastisha towered in between the heavens, one hand holding a magic wand, its crystal on top shining brilliantly. Her presence made the entire Baizhu Star’s natural ecology tremble in fear.
She released her Yita Phase aura without reservation, the biological frequencies detected were like a strong radiation source, causing palpitations.
To mortals, looking up would not allow them to see Nastisha’s form at all, only feeling a burning sting in their retinas.
"A Yita Phase Mage, huh..."
Destroyer clicked his tongue, then looked at Li Aozi:
"Really unlucky today—Li Aozi, you just picked up a life."
He waved his hand dismissively and began to retreat step by step toward the gate of the Transmission Tower, secretly sending a message to Bablushka.
Nastisha did not notice his little movements; she held the magic wand, her gaze stern. She glanced at Li Aozi on the ground, hesitated slightly, pretending not to see, and continued to focus on Destroyer:
"You’re not going anywhere today. I’m sending you to Sulnamo Prison to taste a fate worse than death! Only then would you be worthy of the souls you massacred!"
With that, she immediately began to prepare a spell.
"Not necessarily."
Communicator relayed a message, and Destroyer said with a slight smile:
"Only the defeated war criminals go to prison—victorious ones always live in the Imperial Palace."
Nastisha was consumed with fury, and a thunderbolt crashed down in an instant.
Whoosh-crack!
The sky was effortlessly torn asunder, cleaving directly towards the Crescent Moon. If struck, with Nastisha’s strength, the Crescent Moon Society would be instantly brought down to the brink of death.
But at that moment, the Transmission Tower behind the Crescent Moon suddenly popped open its armored suit, revealing the profound energy core within. A deep blue molecular transporter immediately activated!
Pop pop pop—
Three strange devices were the first to be shot out from the transporter. The next moment, the devices extended outward, expanding to form a pitch-black canopy that not only shielded from the thunder but also dragged the entire Trevela into a deep, unseen dark world.
"Bravo Six, arriving in The Dark Realm."
The Governor’s Guard, Bravo Squad, stepped through the gate in an orderly and quiet manner, shrouded in the tight Black Moon armored suits that absorbed all light, rendering them undetectable by any device or magic under the canopy of The Dark Realm.
Bravo Six held an SMG tightly wrapped with the Saint’s Shroud around the barrel in one hand, and with the other, he dragged the Crescent Moon Society member who had been heavily injured by the lightning strike:
"Reporting to Dark Wolf, we’ve retrieved Crescent Moon and are confirming the situation."
He dragged Crescent Moon to the back where the tactical squadron’s members promptly placed a mobile shield and a makeshift fortress. A medic stepped forward, set up a stretcher, and gently laid Crescent Moon upon it. Whispering a prayer, he poured Holy Water onto Crescent Moon’s forehead and promptly used the healing device to restore his heartbeat and heal the burns within his body. In a matter of seconds, Crescent Moon’s body was as good as new, and he sat up straight.
"Cough cough—if you had been any later, I’d be hauling rocks in Sulnamo!"
Crescent Moon complained dissatisfiedly.
Bravo Six just extended his hand indifferently:
"The Fragment."
Crescent Moon nodded slightly, calmed his emotions, and said:
"It’s not on me."
"What? You didn’t get the Fragment?" The members of Bravo Squad were astonished.
"Nonsense! Of course, I got it, but it was taken away by the other side, isn’t it on me?"
Crescent Moon countered accusingly and said irritably:
"I was doing just fine. If it weren’t for your Governor failing to intercept the news, letting that madwoman barge in, I would have succeeded already—that’s a Yita Phase enemy, it’s not easy for her to target me, is it? If you can’t retrieve the Fragment later, your deities won’t forgive you!"
The Bravo Squad had no words and merely reported the intelligence upward.
"Calling Dark Wolf, Alpha, and Charlie, this is Bravo Squad. We have retrieved the target, but the Fragment has been taken by a Yita Phase target."
"Dark Wolf received, hold on for a moment."
On Bablushka’s flagship, the staff hurriedly inquired about the other two squads’ status: "This is Dark Wolf, report your situation."
"Received, this is Alpha. We have successfully retrieved the Fragment and are on our way back."
"Received, this is Charlie. We have brought the Fragment back successfully."
The headquarters received the intelligence and quickly analyzed counter-measures. They turned to Bravo Squad and said:
"Dark Wolf calling Bravo Squad. Although we have mostly recovered the target, Lord Bablushka is waging a bloody battle, even resorting to Curse Power to buy time. You must try to reclaim the last Fragment to recoup the costs."
The commander of Bravo Squad felt a twinge in his heart, knowing that these words meant his team’s chances were slim. He replied impassively:
"Received."
Dark Wolf sighed and said earnestly:
"May you eventually return to the embrace of the Mother of the Night."
Bravo One looked at his subordinates; they had indeed 12 Zeta Rank warriors. Utilizing their numerical advantage, they could entirely contend with the other side.
All the warriors looked at him calmly, awaiting his orders.
"We shall die on this battlefield," declared Bravo One. "The Matriarch Goddess guides us, and let these foolish materialist magicians witness the might of our great nation’s weaponry. The deities stand with us—Hasala!"
Bravo Squad struck their chests in unison, solemnly chanting, "Hasala!"
Crescent Moon tilted his head slightly, barely holding back a smirk.
These idealistic fools were so easy to dupe, spurred into blind heroics by a few empty words for a meaningless goal.
