Meteor Fall Master in the 'Starry Abyss'
Chapter 570 - 196. Crushing Star Grasp

Chapter 570: 196. Crushing Star Grasp

"Knowing it’s Canyue, that makes things easier to handle."

Three years ago, the crimes he committed on campus were still fresh in Nastisha’s memory; she had long since tailored a set of countermeasures for this fellow.

"Dimensional Anchor"—locks in spacetime, prohibiting spatial movement.

"Arcane Tracking"—Canyue’s trajectory coordinates became clearly visible as he jumped, and he was none the wiser.

"Huh?"

Nastisha sneered:

"He actually hid in a semi-plane full of storm elements, it seems even fate is looking out for me."

As a Pathway Ascender to Divinity—a Fine Artistry Magician—a Magic Tutor—the Stormbringer, Nastisha excelled in manipulating the atmosphere, water, and lightning.

And these energies were the foundation of the storm semi-plane.

Nastisha clenched her hand in the void, and her eyes turned silver-gray, seeing through everything. Her vision pierced the star realm and dimensions, and under the guidance of dozens of spells, she locked onto the storm semi-plane where Canyue was located.

"Still waiting inside? Then perish along with the entire plane!"

"Ancient Magic: Elemental Sacrifice."

Calamity had arrived, disaster had come.

Nastisha would not know, nor would Canyue realise, how such a result came to be.

If she hadn’t overheard Minister Balkmon’s muttering, she wouldn’t have gone for a walk in the corridor;

If she hadn’t accepted the suggestion to take pictures with Ye Wangnan, she wouldn’t have noticed the anomaly on Baizhu Star;

If she hadn’t asked Ye Wangnan to make calls to confirm, she wouldn’t have discovered Trevela was being shielded.

Too many ifs, too many coincidences.

However, the moment Nastisha charged into Baizhu Star, the real disaster had already arrived.

The Night Butterfly fleet lurking in the distant asteroid belt could no longer sit still.

"Are you kidding me? How could such a thing happen?! How could that woman suddenly decide to force her way in!"

Governor Bablushka looked at his subordinates, all of whom were at a loss.

"This is impossible... The intelligence couldn’t be wrong."

"We had no leaks, and Trevela was always in a shielded status, the virtual station was operational, in theory, no one should be able to communicate with the outside world."

"No matter what, the plan has gone awry now—that woman, Nastisha, the one who killed the Councilor years ago. She’s not someone that Zeta Rank Canyue can compete with."

Governor Bablushka’s face grew dark:

"Contact Alpha, Bravo, Charlie Squad, and have them teleport to Trevela immediately to recover the forbidden knowledge; start the mission ahead of time!—You, quickly signal Canyue, tell him to stop fooling around and run away with the Fragment as soon as possible!"

"Sir, Canyue isn’t in this dimension, we can’t contact him. With the liberation of Trevela, our virtual station was also destroyed, and Baizhu Star has restored contact with the March Lily Fortress."

Staff officer reminded.

"Are you saying the operation has failed?" Governor Bablushka frowned: "No, we can still retrieve two pieces of forbidden knowledge. Although we can’t synthesize the Fragment, it’s of great significance. The Mother of the Night will be pleased."

"No, sir, have you forgotten?"

The staff officer said solemnly:

"Kappa Rank Balkmon of Baizhu Star is in the March Lily Fortress, and now that the situation in Trevela has been transmitted there, and with Nastisha going to suppress it on the ground... wouldn’t that mean Balkmon is—"

Before he could finish, Governor Bablushka’s complexion instantly changed.

The next moment, without warning, a psychic storm resounded throughout the star system, like that of a supernova explosion, carrying with it a massive wave of spiritual energy that swept through every corner.

Bang bang bang bang bang!

The fleet’s anti-reconnaissance devices instantly burst into flames, the ship’s computer screamed in agony, and the observers were even consumed and wiped out by the surge of spiritual energy on the spot.

"Damn it, it’s ’Divine Intimidation’! Curse it!"

Governor Bablushka cursed:

"Balkmon, that murderer released the Border Abyss spell just to find us! Is he not afraid of the curse backlash?"

Before he could finish, a deep and robust voice echoed through the star system:

"It’s you, Governor Bablushka!"

Governor Bablushka’s expression darkened as he slowly stood up. The next moment, his body teleported to a point twenty thousand kilometers ahead of the fleet.

The void was brutally torn open by a mind magic rift, and there emerged Balkmon, with his bald head, his body wreathed in a distortion aura, lips curled in a gentle and refined smile as he slowly walked out of the void rift.

"For Governor Your Excellency to grace us with your presence, I, a mere teacher, have failed to greet you from afar, and for that, I beg your forgiveness."

Balkmon laughed raucously, arms folded across his chest, as the Distortion Curse enveloping him made even light detour around him. His features were entirely collapsed into shadow, resembling a miniature black hole, and even his voice, transmitted through Mind Magic, was filled with an extreme discomfort and curses, making him sound utterly abominable.

Having nearly half of his Strength stripped away by the Uplift Curse... and yet, this guy could still exert such an imposing aura.

"Minister Balkmon, it’s a pleasure to see you."

Governor Bablushka’s gaze flashed with embarrassment, but he maintained his posture, not showing defeat. He opened his arms and smiled in return,

"The fact that you came out to greet me is already a sign of your respect."

"Ah, nonsense. I’m just an ordinary person who teaches and nurtures others," Balkmon said with a chuckle.

If it weren’t for his Distortion aura drawing passing comets and meteors into its grasp, crushing them, and the light warping and rubbing against the outline of his figure at high speeds to form an orange, glaring strip of light, he might actually appear warm and friendly.

"Don’t sell yourself short—the one known as a Kappa Rank Ascender in the Layer Abyss, a Spellcaster praised by Narrative-Level Civilizations. It’s my honor that you would come close to me."

Bablushka said coolly.

"Oh? I’m famous? I didn’t even know that."

Balkmon spread his hands, then narrowed his eyes,

"Knowing I’m so famous, you still come seeking death?! Bablushka, I think you’ve grown tired of living."

The next moment, without any preamble, Balkmon launched a Mind Blast, a blatant surprise attack.

"—Bastard!"

Bablushka cursed fiercely as his stance shield activated. He waved his hand grandly, calling forth an entire Mechanical Legion through a Fold Jump,

"For a Kappa Rank powerhouse, a decisive force on the battlefield, to launch a sneak attack!"

"You philosophical deadbeat dog, do you even deserve a fair fight with me?"

Balkmon sneered cruelly as his Mental Magic tore through reality, his Distortion aura imbuing the Magic with ominous power and curses, paralyzing the vast Mechanical Legion and rendering it junk,

"Come on, Bablushka, since we both share the ’Ba,’ let’s see who the real ’dad’ is!"

"You mad dog, do you want to break the Galactic Eye ceasefire pact?" Bablushka was overwhelmed and could only spit back in rage, "Stand down now, or you’ll be the one sent to the battlefield later!"

"Even better, since it was you who broke it first!"

Balkmon showed an evil grin,

"As for the battlefield."

"Hehe—if it weren’t for that Golden Dragon Monk intervening, the one fighting you guys at the Eye of the Galaxy would have been me!"

Crack—

Balkmon tore open his Education Bureau uniform, revealing his muscular and robust body,

"Let me show you the mysteries of Magic!"

Balkmon raised a finger.

[Super Wish]

"Let me obtain objects through empty space."

His wish was immediately granted, and as his cruel laughter echoed, it sounded like a demon to Bablushka,

"Arcane Amplification—millionfold mega strength!"

"Dual Casting—repeat the previous spell."

"Triple Casting—repeat the previous spell."

After six consecutive cycles, the exponentially increasing strength had Balkmon smugly twisting his neck. At this moment, the Magic Power within him was so concentrated that it radiated outwards with brilliance.

The Magic Light was so bright that even the nearby sun seemed somewhat dim by comparison.

Governor Bablushka was extremely nervous, his heart in turmoil.

This demeanor and strength... are you telling me this is a new Kappa Rank fresh from the Border Abyss, bearing a curse?

If Balkmon had been at the Galactic Eye Campaign, maybe the losses for the Night Butterfly Federation would have been 30% worse than they are now.

Such a character, no wonder he was sent to oversee Baizhu Star. If not for Canyue’s long-term strategic planning, even sending two Kappa Rank to support wouldn’t have made the mission possible.

"Welcome, Governor of the Night Butterfly Federation, to our Star for a friendly visit!"

He lifted his hand, casually plucked a gaseous planet from the stellar system, and hurled it straight at Bablushka’s Mechanical Legion.

"A modest gift, I insist you accept it!"
