[Arcane Energy extracted from target]: [Sequence 56: Waning Moon]

[Rating]: Omega Sequence (Ω, the final Greek letter)

[Crescent Moon Perception]: Dual benefits for [Dexterity] and [Charm].

"A crescent moon slowly rises, its pristine light to shine upon the unvisited heavens; everything it lacks is but a plaything and mockery of this ignorant world."

"You are like distant echoes, long and lingering, woven into a unified tone of murky depths, vast as the night, yet bright as luminance, fragrance and hue and sound intertwining."

"My friend, stretch out your arms, offer a jester’s joke to this ugly world."

——[Primeval Heavenly Sovereign] Sorao.

Arcane Performance:

Active Activation—Your hands can manipulate space and existence you touch on a dimensional level, as if treating the world like modeling and mapping software; however, whatever you do, ’Waning Moon’ must be released through your hands.

Passive State—Your identity information is processed to a lower dimension, and if you wish, no mechanical device or magic can detect your true information;

"Let’s play a game, the prize is the entire world."

[Range]: Limited to the touch of hands.

Current Development Level: Perception Level, at this level of development, the consumption rate of Arcane Energy is at—110%;

"Got it."

Li Aozi lifted his foot, shook his neck, and two cool silver moonlights flashed through the void of his head.

While extracting the Arcane Energy, he casually also took the boy’s racial talent, adding an [Advantageous Mutation] to his panel, enhancing the mutation project by 5%.

[Truly, the family of Transcendents is born with extraordinary talents, tsk tsk tsk.]

Though it’s a bit unkind to say, peers really are natural rivals.

"Ugh ah..."

Mo Zilan on the ground struggled to stand up, he opened his hands, pressed them on the ground, and looked bitterly at Li Aozi:

"Du Zexin! You bastard, my father will not let you go!"

"Is that so?" Li Aozi shrugged: "Then keep looking. I, Du Zexin, will not change my name or sit under another surname, it’s up to you."

Having said that, he flicked his wrist expertly, brought up a mosaic around his body, disrupted the dimensional traces, and left nonchalantly.

Compared to the unfamiliar Arcane Energy of [Calamity], he was much more familiar with [Waning Moon]. This Arcane Energy does not have especially strong direct output capabilities, and although its short range makes it unsuitable for one-on-one fights, it is an extremely powerful control skill in the early to mid-game and has great versatility.

Also, it can provide an ’invincible’ effect second only to the [Mysterious] series’ [Spirit Realm Walk] to all occupations.

Moreover, the dimensional manipulation effect of [Waning Moon] can resonate with Echo Force to create Spacetime Ripples; although short-range, when combined with splash AOE, it’s still quite considerable.

Anyhow, it’s better than [Bloodline].

Having acquired the "Crescent Moon", Li Aozi decisively made his escape, tearing open a spacetime ripple and instantly teleporting to Newbie Village.

"Miss Yawen, I’m back."

Li Aozi took off his hood, revealing the void energy fluctuations of his head, and walked into the boundary of Newbie Village, where his spiritual power immediately swept across the area.

"Tch, off he goes again."

Li Aozi shook his head, aware that Yawen still held a grudge about him revealing her identity and felt anxious about meeting him.

Perhaps, if the truth wasn’t punctured like a window paper, it wouldn’t be so awkward?

But hiding and skirting around the truth was not Li Aozi’s style.

After calling out a few times and getting no response from Yawen, Li Aozi simply shook his head and stopped bothering.

He walked around, inspecting his little territory. Thanks to the players’ 007-style efforts, Newbie Village had expanded with several hundred acres of fertile land, houses stood in rows, and two large guilds had even established their own bases here, starting to construct two-story buildings. Although currently in the foundation stage, players were already well-organized in planning their future lives.

It wasn’t long before players noticed Li Aozi’s return, but with few people around, it didn’t cause much of an uproar.

"Holy shit! Li Aozi is back!"

"Ah, crap, our guild members are off hunting goblins."

"Perfect timing, I want to borrow ’Spontaneous Combustion’; the furnace is not hot enough."

Li Aozi wouldn’t complain about too little experience, always keen to earn where he could, while also examining the environment of Newbie Village.

Compared to the desolate wilderness of before, the past month’s construction efforts were remarkable, and what had existed was now a modest village.

Brick kilns, coal kilns, blacksmith shops, tanning yards, and workshops for crafting equipment were all present. At that moment, players with the "Biochemist" occupation were operating the biological pool left by Li Aozi, aiming to improve their biochemical weapons, while players who had chosen lifestyle professions focused on their work within the village.

"Chefs" had to ensure food was cooked, dried, and processed into compressed rations to be delivered to the frontlines, providing enough benefits while maintaining as much taste as possible.

"Blacksmiths" were the busiest, tirelessly repairing weapons that came back from the frontlines day and night.

"Mechanics" were somewhat unlucky. Since their weapon output largely depended on firearms, they had to collect the spent casings and bullets from the frontlines themselves, then return to camp to adjust the fertilizer into gunpowder, hand-craft bullets and load cartridges, all while doubling as "Gunsmiths", responsible for adding and modifying weapon attachments.

Genuinely, this put a bit of a strain on the "Mechanics". They were better suited in an industrial civilization, but in this remote backwater, they were perhaps less meaningful than the Tumu siege engineers.

Nevertheless, the players’ imagination and creativity were truly remarkable.

Under constrained conditions, players categorized and sorted materials they hunted and gathered, replicating weapons with local materials.

Crossbows were the first product considered, with players fully utilizing the concept of ’using the enemy’s resources against them’, incorporating monsters’ materials with the industrial thought from Azure Star to create modern bone composite bows and high-poundage crossbows.

As for explosives, after joint research by "Biochemists" and "Chefs", they decided to use a locally collected type of crystal ore endowed with powerful energy. Shaped by grinding, they crafted simple grenades and explosives—ignition was brutally straightforward, just stuffing a detonator and some sugar into them.

These crystal bombs were also modified into land mines and traps, a common trigger-style trap being to dig a hole in the ground, put some explosives in it, and activate the fuse upon impact.

More advanced traps involved fitting a goblin skull over the top, throwing it amongst a group of goblins, who, curious, would gather to nibble at it, and then all that was left to do was wait quietly for the ’BOOM’, and revel in a hard day’s work accomplished.

To take down the goblin lair, players went to great lengths. Flooding, burning, burying, poisoning, all kinds of weapons the forest provided were used to slaughter the creatures within, a true cycle of nature-eat-nature.

Such Primitive Punk tactics were commonplace, giving Li Aozi a deep impression of the players’ creativity.
