Chapter 462: 100. Report Center

Li Aozi took note of the Dragon Titan named Dialan, planning to keep an eye on him in the future.

As one after another of the foreign interstellar students left, Curly identified each of their identities.

"The son of the Governor of Azalea Star, Marzis. He’s probably here to study Magic Economics to help his father with corporate reforms."

"This is the granddaughter of the Prime Minister of the Cotler Republic, Wilma Dan. She’s likely here for political asylum."

"A Purple-skinned Orc sent by the warrior race of the Coster Tribe to learn magic combat. Be careful with them, they’re here to learn how to suppress tribal rebellions—pretty common stuff."

Curly looked smug, listing off names like a seasoned expert, which made Li Aozi’s originally relaxed demeanor shift.

"Seems like this school isn’t that simple."

"It’s a hidden gem," Curly chuckled. "I’m telling you, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. This school has some deep secrets..."

Li Aozi looked at Curly, "After all that, why don’t you introduce yourself?"

"Me?"

"Yeah, you seem to know quite a lot. Recognizing every new student precisely isn’t something just anyone can do." Li Aozi laughed, though his implanted expression was too stiff, giving off a slightly eerie vibe.

Fortunately, his Charm was high enough that Li Aozi felt he could still extract a lot of information.

Curly blinked.

"Next!"

The teacher at the registration desk called out.

"Coming." Curly took the chance to turn around, stepping forward and presenting his ID and admission notice: "Here, take a look. Any problems?"

"Hobbs Lure? Hmm, the name doesn’t really suit you. I imagined someone with straight hair and strong build."

The teacher compared the photo and then activated the spiritual power detection system,

"Look over here. I’ll verify your spiritual power."

Curly slightly tilted his head, and Li Aozi, standing behind him, suddenly noticed Curly involuntarily pinching his sleeve.

——He made this move before when he felt pressured by the gaze of that Dragon Titan girl.

[This kid is lying.]

Li Aozi squinted his eyes slightly, considering using his Eye of Truth to check but then thought better of it.

For now, the Baizhu Star Education Bureau had gone to great lengths to suppress his identity. If he exposed himself as the orchestrator of the Valenkov incident, he would likely have to leave this place.

He had to act discreetly now. Using Arcane Energy would immediately alert the magic side’s Higgs Detection Field.

Using Arcane Energy while in the wilderness was fine, but in a metropolis like Trevela, he had to weigh his actions carefully.

Curly held his breath, summoning his spiritual power and channeling a strand towards the detection device. His eyes were notably focused, but Li Aozi observed that his effort to pinch his sleeve indicated his inner tension.

Just for a spiritual power test... Did he use some method to counterfeit it?

With enhanced Intelligence, Li Aozi’s thought process and observational skills had significantly sharpened, yet he chose not to directly expose Curly’s hidden identity, opting instead to watch his reactions.

He looked down and noticed a black ring on Curly’s left middle finger. Using his impressive elemental affinity, Li Aozi concentrated and discerned faint energy fluctuations.

[That ring can produce spiritual power?]

Li Aozi was taken aback.

Despite his extensive experiences in the Starry Abyss, he had never heard of equipment that could generate spiritual power.

Spiritual power could only come from the brain and soul.

Even the Divine Sword consciousness like Zaniya couldn’t generate spiritual power—communication with Li Aozi was through the resonance of Divine Power.

Although Li Aozi used spiritual power to communicate with Zaniya, she could only respond through Divine Power resonance.

[The Mysterious communication method is much simpler and cruder, relying on spiritual power and Talent, entirely different from spiritual power.]

Unless that ring wasn’t equipment but a living entity with self-awareness and an independent soul.

That wasn’t right either—Li Aozi glanced at the nearby security checkpoint—if it were a living entity, it would have already been detected there, wouldn’t it?

The teacher, after completing the test, nodded slightly:

"No issues. But your spiritual power is a bit weak, you need to train harder in the future."

Curly relaxed his shoulders slightly, exhaling: "Thank you."

"Study hard, young man." Marking the registration, the teacher returned Curly’s documents: "Magic Application Academy, follow the road on your left to the end, then cross the central lake bridge to the castle."

"Got it."

Curly ’Hobbs’ nodded, picked up his luggage, took a few steps, and then greeted Li Aozi:

"Hey, which academy are you going to?"

"Same, Magic Application Academy."

"Great, let’s go together."

"Sure."

"Next."

Just as Li Aozi finished speaking, the teacher called him to the front:

"Show your ID."

Li Aozi handed over his ID, and the teacher glanced at it: "Why is your registration blank?"

Compared to the foreign students, the teacher’s tone was less friendly, more dismissive.

"My registration is still back home in Blue Chrysanthemum Village. We don’t own property, so it wasn’t recorded. The school promised it would be updated upon enrollment." Li Aozi explained.

"Alright then, it’s typical of the administration department." The teacher looked down his nose: "Leoz... no surname? Well, given uneducated parents picking such a common name, that’s normal."

He flipped through a few pages: "No issues. You’ve already arranged accommodation. Why didn’t you register earlier? If you’d come sooner, I wouldn’t have to work overtime now."

He kept rambling, entirely losing his earlier patience.

After confirming everything, he conducted a spiritual power test on Li Aozi: "Look up at the rune, don’t make me repeat myself—hmm, good, no issues. Your spiritual power is quite strong, aiming for Workshop Master after graduation. You know the place, next."

Li Aozi wasn’t bothered by any of this. He collected his documents and turned to leave alongside Hobbs, heading toward the Magic Application Academy.

"Your name is Leoz? No surname? Or are you hiding it on purpose?"

"Don’t mind those details." Li Aozi responded nonchalantly.

"Surnames relate to lineage and magical Talent," Hobbs said meaningfully, "though people say they don’t discriminate against bloodline, those without surnames do face some bias—if you’re hiding it on purpose..."

’That’s definitely not a simple matter.’

Li Aozi understood perfectly what he meant.

So, he deliberately looked intently at Hobbs’s ring:

"Same goes for you."

With that, they exchanged a knowing smile, and Hobbs lightly tapped his ring, changing the topic to something else.

They both had secrets, choosing neither to reveal nor expose, which was beneficial for both parties.
