Me, A Villain! Is It So Wrong To Live off The Heroines?
Chapter 39 - If Xiaomeng Weren’t Here...

Chapter 039: If Xiaomeng Weren’t Here…

The woman stood behind Ye Tian for a long time, her eyes never leaving him. This was their leader, their spiritual pillar—and for her, the one she longed for.

Unfortunately, his heart was as hard as iron.

With a faint sigh, she looked at his back and said, “What now? The Su family’s young master got involved and took Bai Suxin with him. His appearance will only complicate things further, especially with the Bai family also in the mix.”

Ye Tian gazed out toward the distant ocean. In that direction… was home.

After a long silence, Ye Tian finally spoke. “Youyue, return for now. A blood debt must be paid. Bai Suxin is a key piece. As for the Su family’s young master… since they’ve made us suffer, it’s only right they get a taste of this heart-piercing pain too!”

Youyue’s eyes widened. “Yes, Boss.” She cast him one last glance before turning and swiftly leaving.

Ye Tian never looked back. He knew her feelings. But before their revenge was complete, they were nothing more than rootless wanderers. How could they indulge in romance?

His heart held only one thing: vengeance.

“It’s almost time…” Ye Tian muttered softly. Once he finished merging with the Dragon Blood, he’d see for himself—on that land, who could possibly stand in his way.

【Ding! Attention, host. Because you rescued Bai Suxin and changed her originally tragic storyline, the Child of Fate Ye Tian has now marked you as his must-kill mortal enemy!】

【Ding! Due to the host’s involvement, members of the Langya Squad like Die Luo perished in Tianhai City, effectively severing one of Ye Tian’s fingers. 80,000 Destiny Points plundered from Ye Tian. Host receives 80,000 upgrade progress, and reward: Golden Light Barrier x1.】

【Golden Light Barrier: Can block one fatal attack for the host!】

When Su Mingxuan returned to the estate, system notifications flooded his mind. “Must-kill mortal enemy”… that part was a bit stressful.

He had no real grasp of how dangerous an SSS+ level threat was. Still, he had confidence in the power of the Su family. That phrase rang in his heart again: Under Heaven, all lands belong to the King. Those few words said it all.

What drew his attention more, however, was the Golden Light Barrier obtained through the Destiny reward. It could block one lethal blow—essentially a free extra life. For someone who had now offended multiple Children of Fate, this was god-tier equipment.

After bringing Xiaomeng and Bai Suxin back to the mansion, Su Mingxuan sent them to clean up while he entered the system’s inner space.

As soon as he arrived, the large light screen lit up, displaying all the recent updates:

【Welcome back, Host.】

【Host Information: Su Mingxuan】

【Health: 150/360 | Constitution: 150/360 | Lifespan: 23/360】 (Note: Average human max = 100. Can be upgraded.)

【Destiny Upgrade Progress: 107,533 / 150,000】

【Total Accumulated Destiny: 712,265 / ??????】 (Note: Can be used to condense divinity or enhance specific items.)

【Locked Children of Fate: 3】

【Lin Feng, Title: Trash-to-Talent. Threat Level: S+. Plunderable Destiny: 90,000 / 1,000,000】

【Qin Yu, Title: Jade Pendant Miracle Doctor. Threat Level: SS+. Plunderable Destiny: 612,265 / 5,000,000】

【Ye Tian, Title: War God Returns. Threat Level: SSS+. Plunderable Destiny: 80,000 / 】

Su Mingxuan reviewed the data carefully and nodded with satisfaction. Three Children of Fate discovered, each distinct in style. Especially Ye Tian. Originally, he’d assumed Ye Tian returned home to protect his wife and daughter.

He’d imagined the usual tropes: a daughter in need, a woman with a strong “wife” vibe, and himself bullying them until the child called her father—setting off a world-shaking chain of events.

But clearly, that wasn’t the story. Bai Suxin had seriously pissed off a Destiny child. That alone explained why no protagonist had rushed to save her up until now.

And Ye Tian had 20 million points of plunderable Destiny—twenty times more than Lin Feng. Lin Feng was practically outdated content at this point.

Su Mingxuan glanced at his own stats again. After the recent boosts from Qin Yu and Ye Tian, his personal attributes had surged.

Health, constitution, and lifespan all capped at 360, which meant his physique was now four times stronger than a normal adult’s. That kind of multiplier wasn’t just additive—it was overwhelming.

With 150 points in physique, he could probably swat away three regular adults. At 360… well, he’d need real combat to test it. Sadly, he was lazy. In his own words: why fight yourself when you have bodyguards?

Su Mingxuan pulled two constitution pills from the system, each packed in a gold box. The scent alone was overpowering. Holding them in hand, he made his way toward Xiaomeng’s room.

Creak—

He pushed open the door.

“Ah—!” A startled cry rang out. Bai Suxin immediately dove under the covers, face burning red, body trembling slightly.

Su Mingxuan froze.

Damn… so white, so big—no, wait, I meant, wow, her reaction time was fast.

He shook his head with a chuckle. “My apologies, Miss Bai. I didn’t know you’d just finished washing…”

“Don’t say it!” Bai Suxin interrupted, hiding deeper under the sheets, her face practically glowing.

Su Mingxuan was clearly enjoying her embarrassment. Still holding the pills, he stepped into the room.

She tensed up immediately, clutching the blanket tightly. “Su Mingxuan, you… you better not! Xiaomeng… she’s still in the shower.”

Su Mingxuan: “???”

What do you mean “I better not”? I just walked in to talk. What’s that got to do with Xiaomeng taking a shower?

Wait a sec…

If Xiaomeng weren’t here…Would you be even bolder?
