Chapter 824: Revised: Chapter 824: A Bizarre Scene Occurred

Fu Shiyan paused, seemingly puzzled: "Lili, why did you suddenly say that?"

Jiangli looked at him as if he didn’t know anything. She raised her eyebrow slightly, "When he went back, didn’t he tell you? I almost killed him."

There was a silent ripple in Fu Shiyan’s eyes, his tone relaxed, "He really didn’t mention this to me. But, from what I see, Lili doesn’t seem like someone with a bad temper?"

Jiangli’s smile faded slightly, "I really have a bad temper." She looked at Fu Shiyan, her eyes grew more serious, "Mr. Fu, I’ll tell you quietly, I’ve killed quite a few people in the past."

A dark gleam flickered in Fu Shiyan’s eyes.

Jiangli stared into his eyes and chuckled lightly, "Mr. Fu, are you afraid?"

Fu Shiyan’s expression remained gentle, "You don’t seem like that."

Jiangli raised her eyebrow.

She didn’t speak yet.

Fu Shiyan added another sentence: "Not afraid."

Jiangli paused slightly, "Why?"

Fu Shiyan’s eyes were serious, "You don’t seem like someone who kills for no reason. I trust you. If Lili were really someone who kills without reason, she wouldn’t save people in Yan Mountain, let alone save so many unjust souls."

Jiangli’s expression froze slightly.

She turned her head to look out the window.

She suddenly smiled, "You’re not the first one to say that. It’s a pity—"

Fu Shiyan’s eyes shifted slightly, "What a pity?"

Jiangli shook her head slightly and didn’t answer.

...

Xia Xin and Fu’er waited at Jiaoyang Temple for a long time until it was seven or eight in the evening. Xia Xin, who was guarding the door, finally saw Fu Shiyan’s car slowly stop at the gate.

Xia Xin’s eyes lit up immediately, he stood up in a flash, and patted the drowsing Fu’er beside him.

Fu’er jerked his head up and woke up groggily.

As soon as he looked up, he saw Fu Shiyan’s car.

Fu’er snapped back to his senses and stood up as well.

Xia Xin had already rushed over.

The car door just happened to open.

Fu Shiyan got out of the car first.

Just as Xia Xin was about to ask him where the ancestor was,

Fu Shiyan glanced at him, but then turned around and walked to the co-pilot’s position.

Xia Xin then saw him open the door. Jiangli was sitting in the co-pilot seat, already asleep.

It seemed she was sleeping deeply, so deep that even though the car stopped, it didn’t wake Jiangli.

Immediately, Xia Xin heard Fu Shiyan’s very gentle and familiar voice.

"Lili, we’re home."

Xia Xin was stunned and looked over.

He saw Jiangli frown slightly, seemingly groggy from sleep, suddenly reaching out to hug Fu Shiyan, burrowing into his arms.

Xia Xin: "???"

What the—???

Xia Xin’s eyes widened instantly.

Fu Shiyan seemed used to it, bending his lips slightly. He extended his hands to pick Jiangli up and walked straight into Jiaoyang Temple.

Xia Xin dumbfoundedly turned his head, watching Fu Shiyan carry Jiangli into Jiaoyang Temple.

Next to him, Fu’er rubbed his eyes, doubting what he just saw.

"Hey, hey, Xia Xin, what’s going on?" Fu’er fixed his eyes on the scene, took a sharp breath, and slapped Xia Xin on the shoulder.

Xia Xin snapped out of it, said nothing, and ran towards the Taoist Temple.

Seeing this, Fu’er didn’t know what Xia Xin was up to, but followed suit.

Xia Xin followed behind Fu Shiyan, watching him carry Jiangli straight into the meditation room.

Fu Shiyan’s movements were gentle, almost cautious as he placed Jiangli on the bed.

Xia Xin reached the doorway, seeing this scene, his mouth opened but couldn’t utter a word.

Fu Shiyan tucked Jiangli in, turned his head, and looked at Xia Xin, "Take good care of her. Contact me if there’s anything."

With that, he then left.

He looked as if he was the one closest to Jiangli, as if everything was so natural and taken for granted.
