Max Level Metaphysician: A Debt Repayment Journey…? -
Chapter 678
Chapter 678: 678
Fu Shiyan’s eyes seemed to deepen a bit, but his expression didn’t change much, only showing concern, "Was the injury severe?"
Jiangli forced a light smile, "Seems like it, but I can’t really remember."
Seeing that she claimed to remember nothing, Fu Shiyan could of course tell that she didn’t want to talk about it.
Fu Shiyan then nodded, "Rest well, the doctor I’ve hired is from the Unusual Affairs Management Office, seems to be a Taoist Doctor, quite skilled, he can help you recuperate."
Jiangli waved her hand, speaking with nonchalance, "That won’t be necessary, I’m a Taoist Doctor myself, if there’s a problem, I can treat it, and besides, I am almost fully recovered now, there’s no need for President Fu to worry about me."
With Fu Shiyan’s luck aiding in the repair of her Spiritual Bone, Jiangli now felt as though she had come back to life once again.
And she didn’t wish for a Taoist Doctor to come and examine her body.
Fu Shiyan saw Jiangli’s resistance and didn’t say anything more, only asking her to eat first.
After the meal, the morning light was faint and soft.
Jiangli pushed open the window and looked at the sky outside.
In the morning, the air was fresh.
She took a breath of the fresh air and said, "We’re at the foot of the mountain, right? The air is nice."
Fu Shiyan walked up beside her, looking out alongside her.
"By the way, President Fu," Jiangli stretched, recalling something, "You came to find me for something, is it urgent?"
She couldn’t see anything out of the ordinary in Fu Shiyan’s face.
But Fu Shiyan had come all the way from F City to find her.
There must be a reason for it.
Fu Shiyan pondered for a moment, as if he found it difficult to begin.
Seeing this, Jiangli patted Fu Shiyan’s shoulder in a lofty manner, "President Fu, we are good friends, just say whatever it is you need to say."
Fu Shiyan chuckled lightly, glancing at the hand she had placed on his shoulder, "My uncle is about to take a long trip, the mission is very heavy and dangerous. I’m worried about his safety and would like to ask Lili to help fortune-tell."
Jiangli raised an eyebrow, "Is that all?"
Fu Shiyan nodded earnestly.
Jiangli was puzzled, "For something like this, you could have just called or sent me a message, telling me my uncle’s date and time of birth. Wouldn’t that have been enough?"
Why go through the trouble of making a trip?
Fu Shiyan leaned on the window sill, his gaze lowered.
He was much taller than Jiangli, always looking down at her when he saw her, standing by the window, he could block out most of the sunlight, only allowing a shard of light to fall into Jiangli’s pupils.
Fu Shiyan looked down into Jiangli’s eyes, "My parents died early, and my uncle has been like a father and mother to me, maybe concern is chaos."
Jiangli: "..."
She looked at Fu Shiyan’s facial features, which indeed indicated early loss of parents.
If Fu Lang had been with him since childhood, taking the place of his parents, his greater concern for Fu Lang and the irrational actions that stem from it seemed understandable.
After all, for Fu Shiyan, the cost of flying over didn’t mean much.
Jiangli nodded in realization, "I met your uncle last time; he is not one doomed to an early death. He should be fine. If President Fu is worried, you can tell me his birth details, and I’ll calculate for you."
Upon hearing this, Fu Shiyan took out a red paper from his pants pocket and handed it to Jiangli, "This is my uncle’s birth data."
It looked like a birthdate note.
It had Fu Lang’s date and time of birth written on it.
Jiangli unfolded it, took a glance, and said, "There will be scares but no real danger, no serious harm. Rest assured, President Fu, not only that, your uncle has a bright future ahead, he is destined to rise high and reach great heights."
