Chapter 676: Chapter 676: Pouring into
Fu Shiyan shook his head with a wry smile, "Then shall I consider that Lili owes me two more meals?"
Jiangli felt that owing meals was an easily solvable issue, so she agreed, "Alright."
Fu Shiyan looked at Jiangli, noticing her complexion had improved greatly, and asked, "How do you feel now?"
Upon hearing this, Jiangli glanced at her palm, "All better. Look, the wound has healed."
She checked her Spirit Vein and must have absorbed quite a bit of Fu Shiyan’s fate.
Perhaps more than just one third...
Her Spiritual Bone had almost completely healed.
This was far beyond Jiangli’s expectations.
She had initially thought she might recover by thirty percent at best.
Unexpectedly, she had recovered so much.
Looking at Fu Shiyan, her expression grew even more awkward.
She had thought that by taking away one third of Fu Shiyan’s fate, they would be even, and the transaction completed as normal.
But now it seemed...
She really did owe Fu Shiyan quite a bit.
Probably not something a meal or two could resolve.
Then perhaps a few more meals?
While Jiangli was wildly speculating, Fu Shiyan got out of bed with his usual grace, without a hint of reluctance or awkwardness, and then asked with great concern, "After sleeping for a whole day and night, are you hungry?"
Jiangli paused, not hungry but who could refuse delicious food!
She nodded subconsciously, "Mm..."
"I had someone prepare meals, they will be brought in soon." Fu Shiyan was still dressed in the shirt from the previous day, having lain with Jiangli for a whole day and night, the shirt was somewhat wrinkled.
But strangely, he still looked dignified.
Fu Shiyan’s voice remained as gentle as ever, treating Jiangli with such tenderness that even she found it a bit strange herself.
...Too gentle.
Gentle to the point of excess.
Jiangli suddenly remembered something Xia Xin had said to her before; he mentioned that Fu Shiyan liked him...
At the time, Jiangli thought Xia Xin was joking and didn’t take it seriously.
But now...
"I’ll call someone to bring in the food." At this moment, Fu Shiyan reached for the soup bowl on the bedside table and was about to leave.
Jiangli noticed the soup bowl which still had a hint of medicine scent.
She immediately remembered that while she was dozily falling asleep, she seemed to have indeed heard Fu Shiyan telling her to take her medicine.
But she couldn’t remember what happened after that.
The soup bowl was now empty, which meant she had taken the medicine, but she had no recollection of it.
Jiangli couldn’t help but look up at Fu Shiyan and asked, "President Fu, was the medicine in here prepared for me before?"
Fu Shiyan: "Yes, why do you suddenly ask?"
Jiangli scratched her head, "I just don’t remember how I took the medicine?"
"I poured it in." Fu Shiyan said succinctly.
Jiangli was taken aback, "Poured it in?"
Seeing her incredulous look, Fu Shiyan chuckled softly, "If it wasn’t poured in... Lili, how else do you think you took it?"
A soft sensation flashed through Jiangli’s mind, but it was fleeting, and she couldn’t recall it.
Seeing that Fu Shiyan didn’t seem to be joking, she didn’t think too much about it, "Then I still have to thank President Fu. But where did this medicine come from?"
"I asked a doctor to come." Fu Shiyan sized up Jiangli and said, "How come after one sleep, it seems like you’ve forgotten everything? I actually had something to ask of you, and I wanted Lili’s help. Hearing from the new master at Jiaoyang Temple that Lili was here, I rushed over, and everything else just happened. Do you need me to explain it all over again?"
Jiangli simply asked out of curiosity, but didn’t expect Fu Shiyan to repeat everything from beginning to end.
