Jiangli had no idea how long she had slept until a series of knocks on the door startled her awake.

She groggily came to, and as she turned over to sit up, she hadn’t even opened her eyes before reaching for the mobile phone by her bed to check the time, only to find it was already past six in the evening.

Jiangli was instantly wide awake.

She rubbed her eyes and immediately rolled out of bed.

After straightening herself up, she quickly walked to the door and upon opening it, she saw Fu Shiyan standing at the threshold.

"Mr. Fu?"

Jiangli glanced at Fu Shiyan, then at Duan Jianchuan standing beside him, "Why are you two here?"

"It’s getting late, and I was thinking of inviting the Abbot to dinner. Would the Abbot honor us with her company?" Fu Shiyan, now changed into a crisp white shirt, looked much fresher than before.

At a glance, he also seemed much younger, almost boyish.

Listening to his teasing, Jiangli was not annoyed but instead became excited, "Yes, yes! Where shall we go for dinner?"

Seeing Jiangli’s eyes sparkle at the thought of food, Duan Jianchuan couldn’t help but smile.

A fond smile played on Fu Shiyan’s face as he said, "There is a pretty good seafood restaurant in H City, would the Abbot like to give it a try?"

"Let’s go now!"

The mention of delicious food instantly excited Jiangli, who, beaming, grabbed Fu Shiyan’s hand, "Let’s hurry!"

Fu Shiyan smiled deeply, a twinkle in his eyes.

Duan Jianchuan, following behind the two, noticed that Jiangli had already forgotten about Xia Xin.

He took it upon himself to contact Xia Xin, asking him to meet at the hotel entrance.

Xia Xin was wakened by Duan Jianchuan’s call, and still not fully awake, stepped out of the hotel only to see Jiangli and Fu Shiyan already seated in the car.

He obediently walked over and took his place in the passenger seat, yawning and asking vaguely, "Ancestor, where are we going this late?"

"To eat something delicious!" Jiangli was visibly thrilled.

Xia Xin paused for a moment before remembering that it was indeed dinner time.

He had slept through the day in such a disarray that he had lost all sense of time.

Xia Xin nodded, chatting with them while opening the association forum to read the replies to the posts.

Just then, a message came on WeChat. Xia Xin checked it to find that it was from Chen Tianxu.

In the message, Chen Tianxu said that he and Chen Yeming had returned to F City today, intending to visit Jiaoyang Temple to pray and to express their gratitude to Jiangli in person.

But upon reaching Jiaoyang Temple, they realized that Jiangli and Xia Xin were not present.

After searching online, Chen Tianxu learned that Jiangli’s account had been blocked and, not knowing what had happened on the internet, he reached out to Xia Xin for information.

Xia Xin replied, "We are out of town on business for the next couple of days; you can come to offer your prayers then if you’d like."

Chen Tianxu quickly responded, "When will the Abbot return?"

Xia Xin had no idea, so he turned the question over to Jiangli.

After a brief moment of thought, Jiangli said, "The day after tomorrow."

Xia Xin was puzzled, "Why the day after tomorrow? Are we staying in H City tomorrow for another matter?"

If there wasn’t anything to handle, there was no need to stay another day, right?

Jiangli explained, "There is indeed something to take care of. Tomorrow we need to visit a place, and I also need to see Liao Qianqian’s parents to discuss their thoughts with them."

Xia Xin then remembered that Jiangli had promised Liao Qianqian to persuade her parents to consider having another child.

He gave an affirmative sound and accordingly relayed this to Chen Tianxu.

Chen Tianxu said, "Then we’ll visit the day after tomorrow."

Xia Xin naturally agreed and, following Chen Tianxu’s lead, inquired about Chen Yeming’s current situation.
