He is from Xuanmen and appears to specialize in carrying out evil cultivation tasks specifically for the Fu Family."

Jiangli shifted the topic and asked, "The mysterious ashes found under the trees at the Fu family estate—if I recall correctly, you haven’t traced their origins yet, have you?"

Fu Shiyan paused for a moment, then turned to his secretary and said, "You go ahead and get busy."

The secretary, who was eager to eavesdrop on the gossip, dared not say more and turned to leave.

Fu Shiyan stepped into his office before answering, "Indeed, we haven’t figured that out yet. It’s been quite difficult to investigate."

The origins of those ashes were not so easy to decipher.

To find the owner of the ashes outside of the database was as difficult as ascending to the heavens.

Unfortunately, until now, there has been no productive lead.

"With the capabilities of President Fu, the fact that you haven’t found out the origin of those ashes—don’t you find that very strange?" Jiangli struck home, "Is there a possibility that someone secretly obtained the ashes and used Mystic Technique to cover it up? That way, they could elude detection, making it impossible for you to find out even if you tried. Moreover, I remember telling you that whoever could do such a thing must be no ordinary person. Fu Shiyan understood everything Jiangli was saying.

"Mhm, I know. I will have it investigated."

Fu Shiyan asked, "Where is the Abbot currently?"

Jiangli replied, "I’m still in S City, but I can’t wait for President Fu’s investigation. Tonight, I will head straight to H City to sort it out."

Fu Shiyan placed the documents he was holding onto the office desk, "Tonight?"

"Yes, this Master Mu is no good person and shames our Xuanmen’s reputation. I must find and teach him a lesson immediately," Jiangli’s voice carried a mix of anger and seriousness.

Fu Shiyan could almost visualize her angry and round-faced expression, which was somewhat adorable.

His eyes softened, "Then I will head to H City later to meet up with the Abbot. With me there, it should be simpler for the Abbot to investigate matters concerning the Fu family."

Jiangli intended to refuse, but after hearing Fu Shiyan’s words, she changed her mind, "Alright, then we’ll meet in H City. Thanks for the trouble, President Fu."

"The Abbot is also helping me solve problems; I should be the one troubling the Abbot," Fu Shiyan said with a light smile, "And it is I who should thank the Abbot for making the trip to H City."

Upon hearing this, Jiangli took advantage of his words, "Then if President Fu truly feels bad about it, how about throwing in some extra compensation? I’m a monk who doesn’t covet wealth, so the more, the better."

Though her words sounded serious, her tone was more playful, just going along with Fu Shiyan’s sentiment, a light-hearted way to ease the atmosphere.

Fu Shiyan responded as if he took her seriously, his eyebrows raised, without a second word, "All right, when we meet, I will pay the Abbot."

This left Jiangli at a loss for words.
