Chapter 139: On the shelf speech! Goes live on April 1st, with at least eight consecutive updates, please subscribe!

As a new author, today I’m mimicking the others with my own serialization speech.

My book is scheduled to be serialized on April 1, 2024.

I’ve been working overtime these days to save up some Chapters, plus what I’ll write on that day, there will be at least eight updates!

For every additional 100 subscriptions, I’ll release an extra Chapter! (I have to be allowed to dream, right?)

Although I can’t compare with those monster-authors in the site, I’ve done my utmost!

I hope the dear readers will subscribe generously and enjoy the read!

...

I am grateful for the support my dear readers have shown this book from the beginning!

I was really surprised and touched to receive your support and encouragement.

I know that the book had many errors in the early stages and plenty of controversial points, which led to a fair amount of criticism.

My mentality is relatively good, and I wasn’t really affected (deleting comments was a preemptive measure to avoid a mental breakdown, I apologize, but if you dare again, I’ll do it again), but I was mentally prepared to complete the book solely on my machine.

After all, as I once told reader "Fei Mengye" in a reply, there’s nothing to be said if the skills are lacking; there’s no protection for newcomers in this line of work, and it’s only natural to be criticized and beaten for incompetence.

What’s scarier is to be completely ignored, like a stone thrown into water without causing even a ripple.

Because then you don’t even have a direction for improvement!

What I didn’t expect was that some readers would be patient enough to keep reading my work and even gave me lots of encouragement.

It’s like a beam of sunshine suddenly pouring in through a skylight into a dark basement, dispelling the coldness within.

Your encouragement and support are the life-saving sunlight for me.

Although this sounds a bit cheesy, it indeed comes from my heart, so please accept my most sincere thanks, dear readers!

...

Speaking of serialization, this book is actually the first book of my life (I’m not counting the subpar one that didn’t get signed and was hidden away), so naturally it will have many shortcomings.

Therefore, the thought of serialization also brings great psychological pressure on me.

I’m afraid no one will read it, and I’m afraid to disappoint the readers who are willing to read.

But I have to serialize.

As a part-time writer, I’ve given up some career opportunities, and each day I sit for a long time in front of the computer, typing away.

My wife is indeed very supportive, but writing, a draining activity, has already affected my job, my life, and even my health significantly.

Sometimes I even neglect my pregnant wife, which is a dereliction of duty as a husband and a future father.

Therefore, I must get a return to reassure myself and my family.

So I have to get that perfect attendance bonus, and only income can appease my family’s dissatisfaction.

And to get the perfect attendance bonus, I have to serialize.

The conclusion is clear: I have to go through with serialization, even if I have to grit my teeth and bear it.

...

What moves me is that the editor-in-chief didn’t despise my poor performance and tell me to change books but encouraged me to keep writing, to achieve perfect attendance while continuing to learn and practice.

This support is also one of the important driving forces that keep me going.

Sometimes I feel that the human world is truly beautiful, with kind-hearted readers encouraging me, and an editor who patiently replies to each of my messages.

Your existence makes the projection of this world in my heart not so cold.

So I’m deeply grateful to all of you, really grateful.

In order not to let down the expectations of you, my dear readers, and the editor-in-chief, I will do my best to write this book well while striving to learn and progress, and aim to provide a better reading experience for everyone.

Abandoning the story is definitely not an option for me; if there’s a beginning, there must be an end, and I will give this story a conclusion.

...

Finally, I hope that readers who find this book reasonably enjoyable will subscribe to it, thank you all!

If the initial subscription data is a bit better, then I can also stand a little taller in front of the editor-in-chief.

New author Sugar Five Plus Skin, thanks everyone for your support!
